Die Regeleinheiten sind dabei in einem unteren, stationären Teil der Auflageplatte angeordnet, deren restlicher, wesentlich größerer Teil zur Auflage des zu prüfenden Druckkontrollbogens dient. Die Anzahl der in Reihe angeordneten Module bzw. Regeleinheiten richtet sich nach dem jeweiligen Druckmaschinentyp bzw. nach der Größe des Druckbogens. Je größer der Druckbogen ist, desto mehr Farbzonen müssen eingestellt werden bzw. erfaßbar sein. Der auf die Platte aufgelegte Druckbogen wird vom Drucker Zone für Zone (Zonenbreite etwa 2 bis 4 cm) visuell oder mittels besonderer Meßgeräte (Densitometer) an auf dem Druckkontrollbogen mitgedruckten Druckkontrollstreifen überprüft, wobei zur Einstellung bzw. Korrektur der einzelnen Farbzugaben an der Maschine selbst die Farbzonen-Plus/Minus-Korrekturelemente betätigt werden müssen. Die vorgenommenen Korrekturen sind mittels entsprechender Anzeigeelemente ablesbar.
Abgesehen vom appartiven Aufwand ist dabei noch zu berücksichtigen, daß der Bediener auch noch die anderen Bedien- und Anzeigelemente für weitere für einen optmalen Druck erforderlichen Parameter, wie die Farbfeuchte, Druckgeschwindigkeit u.dgl. beachten muß. Diese anderen Bedien- und Anzeigelemente sind in der Regel entfernt von den Elementen zur Farbzonenkontrolle und -einstellung und seitlich auf dem Leitstand angeordnet. Dabei müssen aber beide Steuerbereiche mit entsprechenden Aufwand untereinander entsprechend verkabelt sein. Steuereinrichtungen für Mehrfarbdruckmaschinen sind beispielsweise auch nach den deutschen Patentanmeldungen DE 27 27 426 B2, DE 39 24 989 A1 und DE 42 16 440 A1 bekannt. Beim Gegenstand der DE 27 27 426 wird der aufgelegte Druckbogen mit einem mechanisch geführten Meßkopf bzw. Densitometer abgetastet. Gleiches geschieht auch beim Gegenstand der DE 39 24 989 und beim Gegenstand der DE 42 16 440 handelt es sich um ein querverschiebliches Stellglied, das auf die gewünschte Farbzone eines Druckbogens eingestellt werden kann und dem Sensoren zugeordnet sein können.

Diese Elemente sind zum Leitstand LS zusammengefaßt, der mit der Druckmaschine MDM (Fig.6) entsprechend verkabelt ist. Die Farbgebungsstationen der Druckmaschine MDM sind in Fig.6 mit FS bezeichnet. Die Bedien- und Anzeigeelemente 4 bestehen, wie ebenfalls aus Fig.7 ersichtlich, aus einer Tastatur T und einem Monitor M bzw. Display. Mit 31 ist eine "Home"-Taste bezeichnet, mit 32 eine Leitstandstaste und mit 33 eine Speichertaste. Die mit 34 bezeichneten Tasten bzw. Felder dienen dem Abruf anderer Menues für andere beim Druck zu beachtender Parameter.
Durch Wahl des Feldes bzw. der Taste FZ erscheint auf dem Bildschirm, wie in beiden Fig.3,4 verdeutlicht, das Menue für die Farbzonenmanipulation. Beim Ausführungsbeispiel nach Fig.3 erfolgt die gewünschte Farbgebungskorrektur für die in den Farbgebungsstationen FS (siehe Fig.6) zu druckende Farbe an der zugehörigen Druckmaschine MDM unmittelbar an den vertikalen Sichtbalken 21, während bei der Ausführungsform nach Fig.4 diese Sichtbalken 21 lediglich Darstellungsfunktion haben, deren Veränderung bzw. Korrektur durch Plus/Minus - Berührungsfelder 22 bewirkt werden kann.
