- the invention also relates to a metallic protective conductor connection element an at least one mounting recess for receiving a Leg of a mounting rail having a metal base and with one with the Metal foot connected, electrically contacting one leg of the mounting rail Support spring for use in an electrical terminal block.
- Electrical terminal blocks of the type in question are, for. B. in electrical installations, d. H. in installation systems, especially in switchgear, used on a large scale.
- electrical terminal blocks the in Basically speaking, there is the problem, the metallic one Protective conductor connection element making good electrical contact on the mounting rail to attach, at the same time a mechanically optimal attachment of the To achieve terminal housing and finally the associated Limit effort.
- the metallic protective conductor connection element in addition to a substantially U-shaped metal base with connected to the metal foot, electrically contacting one leg of the mounting rail Support spring on.
- the contact spring should be the electrical contacting of the metallic protective conductor connection element can be improved with the mounting rail.
- the known electrical terminal block is the contact spring between the two parallel legs of the metal base in a bearing seat fixed or suspended.
- the known metal base thus has a U-shaped Cross section on.
- the support spring forms part of the conductor connection space for the protective conductor and is countered by a pressure screw pressed the leg of the mounting rail.
- the support spring is in their longitudinal extension formed multiple angled so that there is a pressure formation opposite the leg of the mounting rail results.
- the electrical contact effect depends on how strong the Clamping screw is screwed in so that there are different protective conductors large cross section a differently strong contact pressure the leg of the mounting rail results.
- German patent application 29 41 932 is an electrical terminal block known, in which a metal foot is completely on a mounting rail extends away and embraces both legs of the mounting rail.
- the Metal foot is an upright, double, essentially U-shaped Running metal strips.
- the two metal strips of the metal base point to one side, d. H. on one leg of the U-shaped metal base, a groove-like mounting recess for the leg of the mounting rail on.
- the protective conductor connection body is also on this side of the metal base the electrical terminal block arranged, the two metal strips of the metal base form the side walls of the protective conductor connection body.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object of an electrical Terminal block available for mounting on a mounting rail ask in the manufacture of the metallic protective conductor connection element simple and therefore inexpensive, but still a good one and reliable electrical contacting of the metallic connecting element is ensured with the mounting rail, or a corresponding metallic Protective conductor connection element for use in an electrical To provide terminal blocks.
- the metal base is designed as a flat, narrow metal strip is
- the support spring has two parallel resilient legs and the Leg of the support spring lie on the side of the metal foot and in the direction are bent on one leg of the mounting rail.
- the support spring has two parallel resilient legs, which are on the side of the metal base.
- the connection of the metal foot with the support spring is thus already realized in that the metal foot between the two resilient legs of the support spring is clamped.
- the support spring is realized with two parallel resilient legs is also very easy, for example by punching and bending the thigh possible.
- the metal base is advantageously connected to the support spring not only by the clamping action of the two parallel legs Support spring, but also by a clamping element, which is on the metal base is trained.
- the clamping element is advantageously in one piece connected to the metal base and is realized in that between one end of the clamping element and the back of the metal foot a slot for inserting the support spring is formed.
- the metal base has at least one point for receiving a leg of the mounting rail a mounting recess, the mounting recess is advantageously approximately U-shaped, so that one leg or the end of a leg of the mounting rail in the mounting recess is insertable.
- the support spring is dimensioned so that the ends the leg of the support spring protrudes beyond the mounting recess.
- the metal foot only partially extends over the mounting rail and points the Metal base also only a mounting recess, so that the metal base includes only one leg of the mounting rail by clamping, there is indeed one adequate electrical contacting of the metallic protective conductor connection element guaranteed with the mounting rail, for safe mechanical
- the electrical terminal block must then be fastened to the mounting rail however, the terminal housing has its own fastening recess, into which the second leg of the mounting rail engages.
- the metal base designed so that it completely the mounting rail engages and is approximately U-shaped and both legs of the mounting rail clamped embraced.
- the metal protective conductor connection element not just the electrical contacting of a protective conductor with the mounting rail but also the mechanical attachment of the electrical terminal block realized on the mounting rail.
- the electrical terminal block according to the invention differs from the known electrical terminal blocks only by the design of the metallic Protective conductor connecting element is the subject of the present Invention not only such an electrical terminal block, but also the metallic protective conductor connection element as such.
- Fig. 1 shows an electrical terminal block 1, the one with two after outside legs 3, 4 provided mounting rail 2 is snapped.
- a mounting rail 2 is also generally referred to as a top-hat rail, the electrical terminal block according to the invention not only in connection with such top-hat rails, but also with, for example so-called C-shaped mounting rails can be used.
- the illustrated electrical terminal 1 has an insulating material Terminal housing 5 and several conductor connection elements.
- electrical terminal block 1 is a Three-tier terminal block, so that the electrical terminal block 1 a Protective conductor connection terminal 7, two outer conductor feed-through terminals 8 and has a neutral terminal 9.
- the neutral terminal 9 is connected to a disconnect terminal 10 in the exemplary embodiment.
- the protective conductor connection element arranged in the foot of the electrical terminal block 1 6 consists of a metal base 11 and a support spring 12.
- the mounting rail 2 is in the embodiment shown here completely overlapped by the metal base 11, for which purpose this is approximately U-shaped is formed and the two legs 3, 4 of the mounting rail 2 includes clamping.
- the metallic protective conductor connection element 6 is now thereby particularly simple and thus also inexpensive to produce that the Metal base 11 is designed as a flat, narrow metal strip and the support spring 12 has two parallel resilient legs 13, the side of the Fit metal base 11 and in the direction of leg 3 of mounting rail 2 are turned.
- the support spring in the embodiment 12 is not only connected to the metal base 11 in that the both legs 13 of the support spring 12 lie laterally on the metal base 11, thus clamp the metal foot 11, but that additionally on the metal foot 11 a clamping element 14 is formed.
- This clamping element 14 is now advantageously integrally connected to the metal base 11, being for attachment the support spring 12 between one end 15 of the clamping element 14 and the back 16 of the metal base 11, a slot 17 for inserting the Support spring 12 is formed.
- the fact that the metal base 11 as a flat, Narrow metal strip is executed, the entire metal base 11 can be together with the clamping element 14 and the slot 17 in a single punching process getting produced.
- the support spring 12 can be just as simple produced by punching out and then bending the legs 13 become.
- the support spring 12 has in the exemplary embodiment next to the two legs 13 on a web 18 connecting the two legs 13, the Web 18 rests on the back 16 of the metal base 11 and at least partially is inserted into the slot 17, so that the web 18 and thus also the support spring 12 by the clamping element 14 and the back 16 of the Metal base 11 is fixed.
- the length of the slot 17 and the Length of the web 18 can refer to the exact position of the support spring 12 to be fixed to the metal base 11.
- the legs 13 of the support spring 12 are designed such that they over the Project mounting recess 19.
- About the mounting recess 19 protrudes - as can be clearly seen from FIG. 2 is - that the legs 13 laterally on the mounting recesses 19 run past if no leg 3 of a mounting rail 2 is snapped into this is. In other words, this means that the legs 13 have the fastening recesses 19 at least partially seal.
- the metal base 11 is approximately U-shaped, the metal base 11 overlaps both legs 3, 4 of the mounting rail 2.
- the metal base 11 is next also a design of the metal base 11 and thus also the protective conductor connection element 6 possible, in which the metal base 11, the mounting rail 2 only partially, for example only half overlaps. Then for mechanical fastening the electrical terminal block 1 on the mounting rail 2 a second Fastening recess in the terminal housing 5 of the electrical terminal block 1 be realized.
