Definitions
- the invention relates to a set for a feed roller, or to a roller with such a set.
- the invention includes a suitable wire shape for the stated purpose.
- the invention provides a feed roller set in the form of a wound wire in front, the wire one foot section and one from the foot section has outstanding leaf part and the leaf part with triangular teeth is formed, characterized in that the leaf section a (leaf) height less than 2mm and preferably between 1.0 and 2.0 mm. According to today prevailing manufacturing practice, the tooth height is usually lower than that Blade height.
- the wedge angle of each tooth is preferably 30 ° to 120 °, with a value of about 80 ° is appropriate.
- the chest angle is preferably -20 ° to -60 °, a value of approximately -40 ° is appropriate. This angle is between the the material-promoting flank and a line perpendicular to the base of the wire locked in.
- the preferred tooth shape or tooth geometry is based on a isosceles triangle.
- the tooth shape or the tooth geometry can, however be chosen asymmetrically, the less steep flank to promote the Fiber material can serve in the normal direction of conveyance.
- the drive for the Feed roller can, however, be reversible, so that the steeper flank is also below Circumstances must serve to convey material, for example around the feed roller to empty or remove foreign materials between the trough and the feed roller.
- the tooth pitch is preferably between 3.0 and 5.0 mm. It is preferred selected greater than the sheet height.
- the foot width is e.g. 2.0 to 4.0 mm and is preferably also larger than that Blade height selected if the wire turns are wound side by side.
- FIG. 1 corresponds to the teaching of EP-A-866153 (or the Further developments in EP-A-989213 and / or in FIGS. 9 to 22 of WO-A-99/50486).

- the construction of the filling shaft 12 according to FIG. 2 basically corresponds to the structure according to EP-A-894,878, with the design according to Figure 2 the cleaning points of EP-A-894,878 have been omitted.
- the invention can also be used in a filling shaft is provided with cleaning points in accordance with EP-A-894,878.
- the material flow direction runs from right to left, the actual flake feed (Fig. 2) is not shown in Figure 1. That from the The fiber material supplied in flake form is in the form of a wad of card 10 supplied, from a feed roller 14 to a licker-in module 16 (also briseur module forwarded), passed to a drum 18 (also called drum) and through the cooperation of the drum with a traveling cover set of one Traveling lid aggregate 20 further dissolved and cleaned.
- the lids of the Traveling cover set are by a suitable drive system of the Revolving cover aggregate via deflection rollers 24 along a closed path (in the same direction or in the opposite direction to the direction of rotation of the drum).
- Fibers from the fleece located on the drum is removed by a customer 26 and in a discharge section 28 consisting of different rollers to form a sliver (not shown) formed.
- This card sliver is from a sliver (not here shown, see e.g. EP-A-99/58749) into a transport can in cycloidal turns stored.
- the arrangement according to FIG. 1 is only given as an example.
- the ones to be described Features can also be used in other card types and in cards even in the large machines that are used to manufacture nonwovens are suitable.
- the revolving lid assembly 20 comprises flat bars 22, of which in FIG. 1 only individual bars are shown schematically.
- the one in use today Traveling flap arrangement of a conventional card e.g. the C51 card of the Registration company
- the bars are attached to theirs End worn by endless belts 30 and thereby against the direction of rotation Drum or moved in synchronization with this direction of rotation. Examples of such Facilities can be found in EP-A-753 610.
- Each flat bar 22 includes preferably a clothing carrier in the form of a hollow profile, e.g. as in US 5,542,154.
- the clothing strip attached to this carrier is preferably formed as a flexible ("semi-rigid") set, i.e. the strip includes one flexible body, which is attached to the carrier, and individual tips, of which parts in Bodies are embedded.
- the revolving cover arrangement can be replaced by fixed covers, e.g. after the Principles described in US-B-3,604,062; US-B-3,044,475 and US-B-3,858,276.
- the part of the drum circumference, which is in a revolving flat card from the Revolving cover assembly is covered, can be referred to as the main carding zone become. Most of the carding work is done in this zone. But there are additional working elements are provided in other zones of the drum 18 to a bring about further carding effect.
- the part of the drum circumference between the Licker-in module 16 and the revolving lid assembly 20 is here as a pre-carding zone denotes that part of the drum circumference between the revolving cover assembly 20 and the pickup 26 as the post-carding zone, and the part of the drum circumference between the customer 26 and the licker-in module 16 as a sub-carding zone.
- post and under carding zones of the card can be additional Processing elements are attached, from attaching such elements in the sub-carding zone is preferably excluded.
- At least one additional segment 32 with one is found in the pre-carding zone Dirt removal knife (e.g. according to EP-A-848091 and / or WO-A-99/61688).
- the postcarding zone are at least one additional segment 32 and at least a carding bar 34, which can be formed similar to the flat bars. It can several each in the pre-carding zone and in the postcarding zone Additional segments are provided.
- the drum 18 is otherwise by cover elements 36 disguised.
- a suitable covering is in EP-B-431 482 or EP-B-687 754 and can be found in our EP-A-790 338.
- the diameter of the cylindrical surface of the drum 18 is also important Dimension of the machine. Together with the working width, the diameter determines the Working surface of the drum, where it is undesirable, a predetermined fiber density to exceed per unit area.
- the Drum diameter between 700 mm and 1000 mm, preferably one Diameter between 750 mm and 850 mm is selected. The preferred Diameter range is 800 to 820 mm.
- the card according to FIG. 1 preferably a working width greater than 1300 mm, e.g. 1500 mm.
- the first Licker works with the feed roller 14, which is the fibers of one Cotton takes over, which is formed by the filling shaft (see FIG. 2).
- the filling shaft 12 2 comprises an upper part 40 (a feed shaft, in FIG. 2 only partially shown), and a lower shaft part 42 (reserve shaft). Flakes of fiber from the lower shaft part 42 are separated by two conveyor rollers 44 the abovementioned cotton wool is discharged and to the feed roller 14 of the card 10 forwarded.
- Feeding device 48 which feeds the flakes to an opening roller 46.
- Such Devices are generally well known. According to that in EP-A-810309 The invention described should be on the opening or opening roller 46 Cleaning elements are attached to form a cleaning module which enables significant changes in the upstream plant areas.
- the solution according to FIG. 2 is dispensed with a cleaning module Service. Basically, however, the feed device 48 and opening roller 46, reshaped together with the adjacent part of the housing of the shaft, that it creates a "fine cleaner". The adjustment requires elements of the scope the opening roller 46, which allows the removal of dirt.
- the feed device 48 represents a "clamp feed” for the opening roller 46.
- This clamping supply consists of a feed or feed roller 50 and one Mulde 52.
- Such arrangements are also in other places in the Spinning preparation known, e.g. in the feed to a fine cleaner (example - see EP-B-419915) and on the aforementioned feed roller the card itself (example - see EP-A-926274).
- the embodiment of the invention to be described is for Use in the hopper has been designed, but is not on this Area of application restricted.
- the feed roller 50 according to FIG. 3 comprises a cylindrical carrier body 54 and a set formed from a length of wire 56 wrapped around body 54 is.
- the common term "saw tooth set” is also used for this set; the The tooth shape or tooth geometry provided is described below with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6 explained.
- the illustration according to FIG. 3 is only schematic because only one single “clothing turn” (a single winding of wire 56 around body 54) has been shown to clearly show the set principle and also the comparison with To enable DE-A-19708261.
- the Teeth 58 of a set according to this invention are formed as "triangular" teeth, wherein the triangles are preferably isosceles.
- Each tooth can have a tip be formed, as shown in Figure 3; the tooth tips can also be blunted, as schematically shown in FIG. 3A for modified teeth 58A (and to a larger scale) has been indicated with AS.
- Tooth flank which defines the angle of the chest, also for conveying material into the normal funding direction serves (this assumption is not clear from the the aforementioned ISO standard, but corresponds to the labeling practice of the notifying company). According to this definition, the chest angle always becomes smaller than 90 ° and it becomes enclosed between the material-promoting tooth flank and a line that passes through the tooth tip runs and is perpendicular to the base of the wire.
- the wire 56 which forms the set according to FIG. 3, is in an extended form in 5 and 6 shown. It basically comprises a foot section 60 and one of the foot section 60 protruding sheet section 62, the actual teeth 58 in the Sheet section 62 are formed.
- blade depth BT (Fig. 5) is used.
- the blade depth BT of a wire according to the invention is advantageously less than 2.5 mm is selected, the preferred range being 1.3 to 1.7 (for example 1.5) mm.
- the blade depth BT also limits the tooth depth, but this is not preferred here Range needs to be set.
- the tooth depth is according to the conventional one today Manufacturing procedures chosen slightly smaller than the blade depth BT - this conventional practice can be maintained for wires according to this invention.
- the tooth pitch P is expediently more than 3 mm, the preferred one Range is 3 to 5 mm. For example, a value of 4 mm with a blade depth of 1.5 mm can be selected.
- the tooth pitch P is in any case preferably 1.5 times that Leaf depth, or more.
- the foot width b1 is preferably 2.0 to 4.0 mm. If neighboring turns can be placed directly next to each other, as is the case with dashed lines in FIG. 5 is indicated, the foot width b1 also determines the "pitch" (cf. DE-A-19708261 and ISO 5234, Table 4). As the latter document shows (Fig. 5b in DE 19708261), the pitch can also be influenced by other means (in Fig. 5D DE 19708261, by a spacer wire; the clothing wire can also be in one Spiral groove are wound in the carrier body so that, in the case, the slope of the Nutes determines the pitch).
- the pitch is preferably at least 3.0 mm, but can be limited to 5.00 mm.
- the arrangement according to FIG. 6 is based on teeth that are isosceles Triangles are formed. With such an arrangement it doesn't matter which one Directed the fiber material from one tooth flank or the other shall be.
- the wedge angle B (cf. FIG. 4) can be selected in the range from 30 ° to 120 °, the preferred value being between 70 ° and 100 ° (for example 80 °).
- the Chest angle ⁇ (see Fig. 4) is expediently (-20 °) to (-60 °), the preferred value is (-40 °).
- the tooth geometry for a wire according to the invention is not limited to that isosceles triangle restricted.
- An alternative is shown in FIG. 7 from which it can be seen that the tooth is triangular but asymmetrical can.
- the breast angle ⁇ of such a tooth can e.g. Be -60 ° at a wedge angle of approx. 70 °.
- the normal direction of conveyance is in Fig. 7 with the arrow indicated, i.e. the less steep edge 64 is normally used to promote the Fiber material.
- the steeper flank 66 (the "tooth back") can, however, promote the Materials serve when the drive motor (not shown) for the feed roller is reversible, as already explained in the introduction.
- the invention is particularly important where it can be expected that the Material supply to the card must be temporarily stopped.
- the feed roller should when restarting the material from the shaft part 40 reliably in the "Thread in” the feeder.
- the set must have a certain Have "aggressiveness", which is guaranteed by the selected tooth geometry.
- An aggressive set exerts "restraining forces" on the material, which leads to Problems with separating the material from the feed roller can result.
- separation is very important, otherwise the risk of wrapping is increased. Because of this risk also depends on the range of fibers, the set must be selected in such a way that there is no winding on the feed roller with the material to be processed.

Abstract
Description
- die relativ hohen Materialdurchfluss, die ein moderner Kardenfüllschacht bewältigen muss; eine moderne Baumwollkarde ist oft (z.B.) für eine Produktion von mehr als 100 Kilogramm Faserband pro Stunde ausgelegt, was die Zuführ einer entsprechenden Fasermenge durch den Schacht erfordert;
- die Verwendung einer Speisewalze/Speisemulde-Einheit anstelle von einem Speisewalzenpaar;
