A meal-serving device comprising tray-forming means (10) fitted with handle-forming means including a recess (22) suitable for receiving a glass and at least one housing for receiving food (14, 16, 18), the device being characterised in that it further comprises cover-forming means (30) suitable for covering all of the tray-forming means (10), said cover-forming means (30) including, in the region thereof that comes into register with the handle-forming means (22) when the cover-forming means (30) are placed on the tray-forming means (10), a special configuration (36) suitable for enabling said glass to be put into place from the outside into the recess of the handle-forming means (22) when the cover-forming means (30) are in place on said tray-forming means (10).

A meal-serving device according to claim 1, characterised in that said special configuration consists in the fact that said cover-forming means include a recess suitable for penetrating into the recess (22) of the tray-forming means (10), said recess of the cover-forming means itself being adapted to receive said glass.
    3. A meal-serving device according to claim 1, characterised in that said configuration consists in the fact that said cover-forming means (30) include an orifice (36) placed in register with the recess of the handle-forming means (22) when the cover-forming means (30) are placed on the tray-forming means (10), said orifice being adapted to allow said glass to pass therethrough.
    4. A meal-serving device according to claim 3, characterised in that said orifice (36) includes a substantially circular rim (56) projecting below the cover-forming means (30), in that the top portion of the recess of the handle-forming means (22) includes a substantially cylindrical portion in which the rim of said orifice can penetrate, said rim and said cylindrical portion including snap-fastening means (54, 56).
    5. A meal-serving device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that said cover-forming means (30) include a portion that is generally plane in shape (32) and a peripheral rim (34) suitable for cooperating with the rim of the tray-forming means (10), said substantially plane portion including a housing that is open to the outside of said device and suitable for receiving utensils.
