Dazu können übliche Einstellvorrichtungen angeordnet sein, beispielsweise für die Fußbedienung oder auch für die Handbedienung. Damit die vor dem Saugmund angeordnete flexible Abziehlippe sowie der hinter dem Saugmund angeordnete flexible Abstreifer einerseits beim Naßsaugen ohne weiteres ihre Abziehfunktion erfüllen, andererseits beim Trockensaugen gleichsam wie Bürstenleisten funktionieren, lehrt die Erfindung, daß die in Vorwärtsbewegung des Staubsaugers vordere Abziehlippe bei der Vorwärtsbewegung flexibel umlenkbar ausgeführt oder angeordnet ist und für die Rückwärtsbewegung eine Versteifung erfährt.
