Abstract
The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat with mutually movable side supports (14) of seat components (12) adjustable by means of an adjusting device (16). As the state of movement of the vehicle can be detected by a detecting device, allowing the adjuster (16) to control at least one side support (14) via an actuator (18) in such a way that, during lateral acceleration during travel the seat user is automatically relieved of stress, a motor vehicle seat is provided which effects a dynamic seat adjustment for the user dependently upon the prevailing state of movement and thus makes him/her more comfortable.
Description

KraftfahrzeugsitzMotor vehicle seat
The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat with side supports of seat components which are arranged to be movable relative to one another and can be adjusted by means of an adjusting device. These form adjustable seat contours.
Known seats have a number of static adjustment options in order to adapt the sitting position and the seat contour to the individual body dimensions of the occupant. Adjustable shoulder supports are known in the area of the shoulder, which allow the shoulder area to be rotated about the vehicle's transverse axis.
If you drive the vehicle through a curve, the occupant is pushed out of the seat away from the center of the curve. In the known solutions, side supports in the lower region of the backrest serve as a support aid, but these cannot effectively support the relatively large masses of the upper body and head of the occupant. In addition, these are known Versions on the side support high local pressures because the contour of the back of the occupant and the contour of the backrest differ greatly from one another when loaded transversely to the direction of travel. For the driver there is also the additional fact that during cornering, due to the steering movement, he loses contact with the shoulder area of the seat on the side facing away from the center of the curve, whereas on the other side of the backrest there is a movement restriction because the shoulder area moves backwards of the shoulder and elbow area.
Eine dahingehende Aufgabe löst ein Kraftfahrzeugsitz mit den Merkmalen des Anspruchs 1 .Proceeding from this prior art, the object of the invention is to create a motor vehicle seat which, depending on the respective movement and acceleration state, permits dynamic seat adjustment for the seat user and thus relieves the latter. A motor vehicle seat with the features of claim 1 solves this problem.
The fact that, according to the characterizing part of claim 1, the movement state of the vehicle can be detected by means of a detection device, which causes the adjusting device to control at least one side support via at least one actuator such that the seat user is automatically relieved in the event of lateral accelerations during the driving process Motor vehicle seat created which, depending on the lateral acceleration state, permits dynamic adaptation of the respective side support, in particular a shoulder contact surface of the seat user, and relieves the latter.
In this way, the contact area of the occupant shoulder can track the body and steering movement of the occupant when cornering, with additional support in the lower backrest area being possible in the event of lateral acceleration. Furthermore, it is possible to provide the driver with additional freedom of movement when cornering by turning away the shoulder rest on the side of the seat facing the center of curvature. Further advantageous embodiments of the motor vehicle seat according to the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
The dynamic adjustment device described in more detail below is not only suitable for the backrest of a motor vehicle seat, but can also be used additionally or alternatively for the seat part or the headrest.
In the following an embodiment of the motor vehicle seat with Einteilvor¬ direction is explained in more detail using a backrest according to the drawing.
Es zeigen in prinzipieller und nicht maßstäblicher Darstellung dieThey show the principle and not to scale
Fig.l eine vordere Ansicht auf eine Rückenlehne;Fig.l is a front view of a backrest;
Fig.2 vergrößert einen Schnitt längs der Linie II - II in Fig.1 ;2 shows a section along the line II-II in FIG. 1;
Fig.3 vergrößert einen Schnitt längs der Linie III - III in Fig.1 ;3 shows a section along the line III - III in FIG. 1;
Fig.4 vergrößert einen Schnitt längs der Linie IV - IV in Fig.1 .Fig.4 shows a section along the line IV - IV in Fig.1.
In Fig.l a backrest 10 of a motor vehicle seat, not shown, is shown in a schematic view from the front. The backrest 10 can have a fixed or movable backrest area 12 in the center and a side support 14 on the edge side. Furthermore, there is a detection device, not shown, which has acceleration sensors and / or motion sensors, in particular for detecting the acceleration forces on the vehicle or the steering wheel angle and the vehicle speed, and which transmits its measurement data to an electronic evaluation and control unit which transmits the adjustment device device 16 causes, via individual actuators, such as a servomotor 1 8, to control at least one side support 14 such that the seat user is automatically relieved during the driving operation of the vehicle.
It is therefore possible to continuously adapt the side support 14 provided for this purpose as a function of the vehicle accelerations occurring and / or the size of the steering wheel lock, the side support in question being returned to an initial position by means of the adjusting device 16 or a spring accumulator, for example for the case that the state of motion of the vehicle is zero, ie the vehicle is stationary. The adjusting device 16 shown below, which is shown in detail, is not only suitable for use with backrests, but can accordingly also be used for the seat part or for headrests as an integrated component of the backrest or for headrests as an independent vehicle seat component. It is preferably provided that, in the event of a transverse acceleration in the respective direction of the curve, the adjusting device 16 controls at least the side support 14 of the backrest 10 which is located outside in the direction of the curve.
97/48571 PC17EP97/03092It has proven to be particularly advantageous to split the two side supports 14 of the backrest 10 in two, the upper part 20 of the respective side support 14 having a shoulder system 22 adapted to the shoulder contour of the seat user, and the lower part 24 of the respective side support 14 syn¬ chron follows the movement of the upper part 20. The shoulder system 22 can, as indicated in FIG. 1, by one to the upper end of the backrest 97/48571 PC17EP97 / 03092

Um die jeweilige Drehachse 28 ist das untere Teil 24 der jeweiligen Seitenstütze 14 drehbar angeordnet.10 inclined pivot axis 26 can be rotatably arranged, the two pivot axes 26 meeting in an imaginary extension above the backrest 10 at an acute angle. The surfaces of the shoulder system 22 facing the seat user are selected in terms of area such that they can act effectively on the shoulder contour. At its lower area, the pivot axes 26 merge into axes of rotation 28, which run vertically when viewed in the direction of FIG. The lower part 24 of the respective side support 14 is arranged rotatably about the respective axis of rotation 28.
However, as in the present embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4, it is preferably provided that all parts 20, 24 of the two side supports 14 are arranged so as to be pivotable about a common central pivot axis 30, whereby provision can be made, at least in part, for a corresponding one Embodiment to allow an adjustment movement with respect to the seat user via the pivot or rotation axes 26,28. In addition, in the case of an embodiment of this type, the swivel or rotation axes 26, 28 can become boundary lines which limit the swivel movement. Provision can be made to form the respective Schaulter system 22 in one piece, preferably in the manner of a triangle or a trapezoid. The ratio of the largest to the smallest effective width of the side support 14 or the shoulder support 22 then takes on the value of at least 1 to 1.5, this width ratio being measured transversely to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
O 97/48571 PC17EP97/03092A servomotor 18 shown in FIG. 1 serves as the drive unit for each side support 14 and controls the lower 24 and the upper part 20 of each side support 14 synchronously via a drive gear designated as a whole as 32. The drive gear 32 each has a drive shaft 34, of which only the central longitudinal axis is shown in principle in FIG. 1 and which, for the sake of simplicity, is only shown on the right in the direction of view of the respective illustration in FIGS. 1 ff. The corresponding conditions O 97/48571 PC17EP97 / 03092
However, 6 could also be provided for the opposite backrest area 12. The respective drive shaft 34 is driven via a corresponding gear, for example in the form of a gear transmission, by the associated electric servomotor 18. Counter-clockwise and counterclockwise drive directions are possible and provided. As FIGS. 2 and 3 show, the drive shaft 34 meshes with control gears 36, 38, which are each provided with two control cams 40, 42. With an arrangement of the drive gear 32, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, it is also possible, as explained below, to control both side supports 14 with only one drive unit in the form of the servomotor 1 8.
The two control brackets 44, 46 are penetrated jointly by the central pivot axis 30, the first control bracket 44 having recesses on opposite sides, into which the receptacles 48 engage for receiving a headrest, not shown. If the control gears 36, 38 are pivoted clockwise via the drive shaft 34, the control cam 40 pushes the first control bracket 44 from its position shown in FIG. 2 to a folded-up position as shown in FIG. 3. A seat user will receive a support on the right side of the body if he or she makes a left turn with his vehicle. In the opposite direction of rotation of the drive gear 32, on the other hand, the second control bracket 46 is appropriately controlled and presented via the lower control cam 42. In an embodiment that is not shown in detail, it can be provided that one control bracket 44 and thus the one upper part 20 of the side support 14 in the form of the shoulder support 22 is folded in and the opposite area with its shoulder support 22 is folded back against the aforementioned folding direction. This has the advantage that when one shoulder surface is tilted back when cornering, it is supported just as much to the rear as the leading shoulder part in its forward movement.
A resetting of the respective side support 14 can take place via the physical strength of the seat user in a casual contact with the seat cushion parts 50 or, as shown in FIG. 4, via a spring system 52 with tension springs 54 which are connected to one another via coupling rods 56 and on the back with the seat upholstery parts 50 to be delivered, in particular with the lower part 24 of the respective side cheek 14. The lower parts 24 of the side support 14 can be arranged with their seat upholstery parts 50 towards the inside of the backrest 10 on shells 58 of the motor vehicle seat which, after the respective tension spring has been contracted 54 are moved back to their basic position from their left position, as viewed in the direction of FIG. 4, in which case an edge-free area of the shell 58 then engages in a receiving space 60 of the housing-like seat frame 62.
With the motor vehicle seat according to the invention, it is possible to use the lateral supports effectively to keep the upper body in the driving position, particularly in the case of lateral accelerations. Care is taken to ensure that the forces acting on the body are absorbed as close as possible to the point of application of the force. When the support is shifted, as is the case with the known solutions, to more distant parts of the body, higher muscle and joint loads occur, which are avoided with the present solution.
