Die Erfindung betrifft Wasch- oder Reinigungsmittel oder eine Komponente hierfür, welche als Aniontensid Alk(en)ylsulfate und als Buildersubstanz kristalline Schichtsilikate enthalten, sowie ein Verfahren zu ihrer Herstellung.The invention relates to detergents or cleaning agents or a component therefor which contain alk (en) yl sulfates as anionic surfactants and crystalline phyllosilicates as builder substance, and a process for their preparation.
Kristalline schichtförmige Natriumsilikate der Formel NaMSixO2x+1·yH2O, wobei M Natrium oder Wasserstoff bedeutet, x eine Zahl von 1,9 bis 4 und y eine Zahl von 0 bis 20 ist und bevorzugte Werte für x 2, 3 oder 4 sind, haben sich als geeignete Substitute oder Teilsubstitute für die etablierten Gerüststoffe Phosphate und Zeolithe erwiesen. Derartige kristalline Schichtsilikate werden beispielsweise in der europäischen Patentanmeldung EP-A-0 164 514 beschrieben. Bevorzugte kristalline Schichtsilikate sind solche, in denen M für Natrium steht und x die Werte 2 oder 3 annimmt. Insbesondere sind sowohl β- als auch δ-Natriumdisilikate Na2Si2O5·yH2O bevorzugt, wobei β-Natriumdisilikat beispielsweise nach dem Verfahren erhalten werden kann, das in der internationalen Patentanmeldung W0-A-91/ 08171 beschrieben ist. β-Katriumdisilikat ist unter der Bezeichnung SKS 7(R), δ-Natriumdisilikat ist unter der Bezeichnung SKS 6(R) im Handel erhältlich (Handelsprodukte der Hoechst AG, Bundesrepublik Deutschland). Aus der europäischen Patentschrift EP-B-0 320 770 ist bekannt, daß sich bestimmte kristalline Schichtsilikate, insbesondere Disilikate umkristallisieren lassen, wobei es zwar möglich ist, daß nach dem Umkristallisieren eine andere Kristallmodifikation vorliegt als vorher, im Endeffekt jedoch wieder eine kristalline Modifikation und keine amorphe Modifikation vorhanden ist. Dabei ist es wesentlich, eine konzentrierte Lösung des Schichtsilikats herzustellen, da in verdünnter Lösung und bei längerer Einwirkung von Wasser, insbesondere bei höheren Temperaturen, Hydrolyse eintritt, wodurch das Schichtsilikat zu niedermolekularen Bruchstücken abgebaut wird. Sind erst einmal derartige Bruchstücke entstanden, so lassen diese sich nicht mehr in kristalline Schichtsilikate überführen. Der Patentinhaber hat daraus gefolgert, daß auch Wasch- oder Reinigungsmittel, welche kristalline Schichtsilikate enthalten, durch Sprühtrocknung herstellbar sein sollten. Der Sprühvorgang sollte dabei bei Gaseintritts-Temperaturen von 70 bis 300 °C und vorzugsweise von 100 bis 200 °C durchgeführt werden. Alkylsulfate, insbesondere Fettalkylsulfate basieren zwar auf nachwachsenden Grundstoffen, doch ist andererseits bekannt, daß sie in hohen Mengen, d.h. in Mengen von beispielsweise um 8 Gew.-% und darüber, insbesondere bei der herkömmlichen Sprühtechnologie und insbesondere in Kombination mit Niotensiden zu granularen Mitteln mit einem nicht akzeptablen Redispergierverhalten führen können. Aus waschtechnischem Interesse sind C16-C18-Alk(en)ylsulfate insbesondere bevorzugt. Dabei kann es auch von besonderem Vorteil und insbesondere für maschinelle Waschmittel von Vorteil sein, C16-C18-Alk(en)ylsulfate in Kombination mit kurzkettigen Alkylsulfaten, vorzugsweise Mischungen aus C12-C14-Fettalkylsulfaten oder Mischungen aus C12-C18-Fettalkylsulfaten mit C16-C18-Fettalkylsulfaten und insbesondere C12-C16-Fettalkylsulfaten mit C16-C18-Fettalkylsulfaten, einzusetzen. Zum anderen hat es sich allerdings auch gezeigt, daß derartige wäßrige Aufschlämmungen unter relativ schonenden Sprühtrocknungbedingungen verarbeitet werden können. Bei der Ermittlung der Inkrustationsinhibierung (Gew.-% Asche; Tabelle 3) zeigten die erfindungsgemäßen Mittel M1 und M2 deutliche Vorteile gegenüber den Mischprodukten V1 und V2. Selbst bei der Vergrauungsinhibierung wurden an einigen Geweben Vorteile für die erfindungsgemäßen Mittel M1 und M2 gefunden (Tabelle 4). Überraschend war jedoch vor allem, daß das Einspülverhalten der erfindungsgemäßen Mittel M1 und M2 teilweise auch noch nach Lagerung von 4 Wochen bis 8 Wochen (30 °C, relative Luftfeuchtigkeit 80%) besser war als das der Vergleichsbeispiele V1 und V2 (Tabelle 5). Zur Bestimmung des Einspülverhaltens wurden Bedingungen simuliert, die einer unter kritischen Bedingungen betriebenen Einspülvorrichtung einer Haushaltswaschmaschine entsprechen. In die Versuchvorrichtung (Zanussi-Einspülrinne) wurden jeweils 100 g der Mittel eingegeben, nach einer Ruhezeit von 1 Minute wurden innerhalb von 80 Sekunden 10 Liter Leitungswasser eingespeist. Die Menge des danach verbliebenen Rückstands (in Gramm, g) ist in Tabelle 5 angegeben.To determine the induction behavior, conditions were simulated that correspond to an induction device of a household washing machine operated under critical conditions. Zur Bestimmung des Rückstandsverhaltens wurden in eine Bottichwaschmaschine zunächst 30 l Wasser eingelassen, 98 g des jeweiligen Mittels hinzugegeben und durch Rühren gelöst. Anschließend wurde die Wäsche, bestehend aus verschiedenen dunkelbunten pflegeleichten Feinwäscheteilen aus Wolle, Baumwolle, Polyamid und Polyacrylnitril eingelegt und die Maschine auf eine Temperatur von 30 °C aufgeheizt. Nach Erreichen dieser Temperatur wurde die Wäsche 10 Minuten durch Betätigen des Bewegers gewaschen, im Anschluß daran die Waschflotte abgelassen, dreimal mit je 30 l Wasser gespült und die Wäsche 15 Sekunden geschleudert. Die Wäsche wurde mit einem Infrarotstrahler getrocknet und von 5 geschulten Personen nach folgendem Schema benotet (Mittelwertbildung):

- clearly recognizable and annoying residues in increasing number and quantity
Claims (16)
- A detergent or cleaning composition or a component therefor which contains alk(en)yl sulfates and crystalline layer silicates corresponding to the general formula NaMSixO2x+1·yH2O, where M is sodium or hydrogen, x is a number of 1.9 to 4 and y is a number of 0 to 20, characterized that the detergent or cleaning composition or the component therefor contains alk(en)yl sulfates in quantities of 5 to 30% by weight and crystalline layer silicates in quantities of 30 to 80% by weight, based on the water-free active substance, and being present in spray-dried form.
- A detergent or cleaning composition as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that it contains alk(en)yl sulfates in quantities above 8% by weight, preferably in quantities of 10 to 25% by weight and more preferably in quantities of 12 to 20% by weight, based on the spray-dried component.
- A detergent or cleaning composition as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that it contains 35 to 70% by weight and preferably 40 to 65% by weight, based on the water-free active substance content, of crystalline layer silicates, more particularly disilicates of the βand/or 6-type, in the spray-dried component.
- A detergent or cleaning composition as claimed in any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it does not contain any zeolite in the spray-dried component.
- A detergent or cleaning composition as claimed in any of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it does not contain any additional carbonates in the spray-dried component.
- A detergent or cleaning composition as claimed in any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that it contains polycarboxylic acids and/or salts thereof, preferably citric acid and/or citrate, more particularly in quantities of 10 to 30% by weight, based on the spray-dried component.
- A detergent or cleaning composition as claimed in any of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that it is processed with other ingredients of detergents or cleaning compositions.
- A process for the production of the detergent or cleaning composition or the component therefor claimed in any of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that a slurry containing crystalline layer silicates (expressed as water-free active substance) in quantities of 30 to 80% by weight and alk(en)yl sulfates in quantities of 5 to 30% by weight, based on the solids content of the slurry, is spray-dried.
- A process as claimed in claim 8, characterized in that the concentration of the slurry is in the range from 50 to 65% by weight and preferably of the order of 60% by weight.
- A process as claimed in claim 8 or 9, characterized in that a slurry which does not contain any zeolite is spray-dried.
- A process as claimed in claims 8 to 10, characterized in that a slurry which does not contain any additionally incorporated carbonates and bicarbonates is spray-dried.
- A process as claimed in any of claims 8 to 11, characterized in that a slurry containing polycarboxylic acids and/or salts thereof, preferably citric acid and/or citrate, more particularly in quantities of 10 to 30% by weight, based on the solids content of the slurry, is spray-dried.
- A process as claimed in any of claims 8 to 12, characterized in that spray drying is carried out air entry temperatures of 100 to 180°C and at air exit temperatures below 100°C.
- A process as claimed in any of claims 8 to 13, characterized in that the temperature of the aqueous slurry before spraying is below 85°C and the viscosity of the slurry under these conditions is below 3,000 mPas.
- A process as claimed in any of claims 8 to 14, characterized in that the spray-dried granules obtained are processed with other ingredients of detergents or cleaning compositions.
- A process as claimed in any of claims 8 to 15, characterized in that they spray-dried granules obtained are subsequently compacted.
