Im Brandfall können sich die bekannten Feuer- und/oder Rauchschutztürblätter verbiegen, wodurch im Extremfall Leckagen zwischen Zarge und Feuer- und/oder Rauchschutztürblatt entstehen und die gewünschte Schutzfunktion nicht mehr gegeben ist. Das erfindungsgemäße Feuer- und/oder Rauchschutztürblatt setzt damit einer Verwindung oder Verbiegung im Brandfall und den damit verbundenen Gefahren einen viel höheren Widerstand entgegen. Übertaschenderweise hat sich auch gezeigt, daß Furnierschichtholz eine größere Widerstandsfähigkeit gegenüber Hitze als die bisher verwendeten Rahmenwerkstoffe aufweist. Diese Widerstandsfähigkeit ist auf die zusätzliche Hitzewiderstandsfähigkeit von Leimschichten zwischen einzelnen Furnieren zurückzuführen. An den Kern 1 ist an allen vier Außenrändern 2, 3, 4, 5 oder wahlweise auch nur an den längsseitigen Außenrändern 2 und 3 ein Rahmen 6 aus Furnierschichtholz angeleimt, welches aus mehreren Schichten von Furnieren 7 aufgebaut ist, die wiederum an dazwischenliegenden Verklebungsschichten 8 fest miteinander verleimt sind. Das Furnierschichtholz ist so angeleimt, daß die Verklebungsschichten 8 der einzelnen Furniere 7 im rechten Winkel zur Plattenebene liegen. Der aus den Anleimern 9 gebildete Deckleistenrahmen bildet die der Türansicht ausgesetzte Stirnkante des Türblattes. daß die Einfassung aus festem Rahmenwerkstoff (6) aus Furnierschichtholz besteht.
