Claims (9)

  1. An internal-combustion engine with an oil-separation chamber in a cylinder-head cover, wherein the chamber is separated from a cylinder crankcase by way of an oil-separation plate, characterized in that the cylinder-head cover (2) has guiding ribs (9 to 15) bounding ducts (17 to 22) facing the oil-separation plate (3) and extending in the manner of a labyrinth, and openings (8) in the plate (3) are provided opposite the ducts in areas (A, B and C) having little oil spray and at least one collecting channel (26) is arranged therebetween, wherein the openings (8) are provided in a raised portion of the plate (3) of the engine set in an oblique plane (X-X), and a plurality of oil-discharge openings (16) are provided in a wall (R2) of the cover (2) in an opposite portion situated at a lower level.
  2. An internal-combustion engine according to Claim 1, characterized in that the oil-discharge openings (16), to which discharge ducts (24) of the cylinder crankcase (1) are connected, are provided in a support web (23) of the cylinder-head cover (2) between the oil-separation plate (3) and the cover (2).
  3. An internal-combustion engine according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that at least one first longitudinally extending guiding rib (9) is arranged adjacent to the air openings (8) and bounding the duct (17) as far as a lateral cover wall (R1), and the second longitudinally extending guiding rib (10) extends adjacent to the opposite cover wall (R2) so as to form the ducts (19, 20 and 22).
  4. An internal-combustion engine according to Claim 1 or one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that the two guiding ribs (9, 10) are each arranged extending beside spark-plug tubes (6a to 6d) and are connected to further transversely extending guiding ribs (11 to 15) dividing sectors (D to G), and in each sector at least one drip opening (25) in the support web (23) of the cover (2) is substantially opposite an oil-drip opening (16) in the guiding rib (10).
  5. An internal-combustion engine according to Claim 1 or one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that the first guiding rib (9) has a slightly curved shape facing the openings (8) in a convex manner and runs into a central spark-plug tube (6b) and is bounded at the ends by the two transversely extending guiding ribs (11, 12) with a throughflow path (11a and 12a) and the guiding ribs (11, 12) run into the outer spark-plug tubes (6a and 6d) in each case.
  6. An internal-combustion engine according to Claim 1 or one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that the second guiding rib (10) extends from the outer spark-plug tube (6d) almost over the entire length of the cylinder-head cover (2) and is connected to a middle spark-plug tube (6a) by way of a dividing transversely extending guiding rib (13).
  7. An internal-combustion engine according to Claim 1 or one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that inflow ducts are formed between the spark-plug tubes (6a, 6b and 6b, 6c and 6c, 6d) and between end walls (R3 and R4) and the outer spark-plug tubes (6a and 6c) by means of the guiding ribs and the outer spark-plug tubes, and open into the duct (19) and directly into the duct (22) respectively.
  8. An internal-combustion engine according to Claim 1, characterized in that the collecting channel (26) in the oil-separation plate (3) is arranged extending transversely in the plate (3) between the two middle middle spark-plug tubes (6b and 6c), and the lateral limit of the said collecting channel (26) is situated in one plane with a lateral-wall face of the guiding rib (13).
  9. An internal-combustion engine according to Claim 1 or one of the preceding Claims, characterized in that the collecting channel (26) has a shape which is wedge-shaped towards the drip openings (25), wherein the base of the channel (26) has a lesser inclination than the oblique plane (X-X).
