Abstract

The part of the side walls (12) facing the adjacent side end edge (32) of the drawer bottom (14) has at least one anchoring protuberance (34) piercing the material forming the drawer bottom. The protuberance protrudes beyond the strips (24) protruding beyond the drawer's side walls, at right angles to the direction in which the drawer slides out or in a staggered position to them. A harpoon shaped protuberance fits into a groove (30) in the end edge of the drawer bottom. Crosswise to the harpoon arm sections (28a) is a ridge-shaped protuberance (34) the free edge of which is sharply pointed.

Description

The invention relates to a fastening arrangement for the bottom of a drawer on its side walls, in which strip-like projections projecting integrally from the side walls and extending in the drawer pulling direction overlap the top and / or bottom of the bottom and at least one area of the side walls facing the bottom an anchoring projection penetrating into the material of the floor is provided during assembly of the drawer, which protrudes beyond the strip-like projections at right angles to the drawer pulling direction or is offset from them.

In the manufacture of drawers in today's furniture construction, profiles made of metal or plastic are increasingly being used for drawer side walls in addition to the classic wood-based materials. Metal sidewall profiles can be punched out and folded, for example, in the extrusion process from aluminum or from sheet metal. Plastic sidewall profiles are usually extruded and cut to the desired length or also manufactured using the plastic injection molding process. With such side wall profiles, the floor, which is generally still made of wood, is placed on a strip-like projection which projects integrally from the side wall profile or is inserted into the space between two strip-like projections which are offset in the vertical direction by the thickness of the floor (EP-A-0 281 766) . For the additional connection of the floor to the side walls, a so-called harpoon bridge is often provided on the side walls, ie a fastening strip provided on both flat sides with a sawtooth-shaped parallel anchoring ribs in cross section, which is pressed into a longitudinal groove, dimensioned with an undersize, in the width facing the tips of the sawtooth-shaped ribs in the front edge of the drawer bottom facing the side wall (EP-A-0 441 162). These sawtooth-shaped anchoring ribs dig into the side walls of the longitudinal groove after the side wall profile has been pressed in and then offer a high resistance to the pulling out of the speargun bridge from the longitudinal groove against the pressing direction. It has now been shown that, in individual cases, under certain unfavorable circumstances, the attachment of the floor to the side walls can become critical, and it has been observed that it is when the drawer is opened that it is opened frequently and closed again with momentum and it is loaded with heavy weight Drawer front panel on the cabinet body resulting shock loads can cause the drawer bottom to move in the drawer closing direction, even when the side wall is connected to the floor through the mentioned speargun bars. Such measures can be prevented by additional measures, for example the screwing in of screws through bores in one of the strip-shaped projections in the drawer bottom, but additional assembly effort is incurred which is undesirable in modern large-scale production. A migration of the drawer bottom relative to the side walls is prevented if anchoring protrusions are provided which protrude from the strip-like projections under the drawer bottom to the drawer bottom and dig into the material of the drawer bottom during assembly of the drawer and thus form-fitting fixing ensure the drawer bottom relative to its side walls (EP-A-0 322 545; EP-A-0 444 014). The drawer bottom is then mounted on the drawer side walls in such a way that the bottom is pressed onto the strip-shaped projections. It is then not possible to mount the side walls of the drawer over the front of the drawer bottom.

The invention has for its object to provide a mounting arrangement for connecting the bottom of a drawer on the side walls, which without the need for additional, assembly-intensive measures to move the drawer bottom relative to the side walls even with high load on the drawer and shock loads excludes.

This object is achieved in that a strip-shaped projection designed as a speargun bridge engages in a groove worked into the front edge of the drawer bottom, that the speargun bridge is divided by at least one interruption into a number of consecutive speargun bridge sections in the longitudinal direction, and in that in the area of the interruption (s), a rib-like projection running transversely to the speargun bridge sections or a bridge aligned with the speargun bridge sections with tooth-like anchoring approaches protruding beyond the dimension of the greatest thickness of the speargun bridge and penetrating into the material of the groove side walls during assembly Anchoring projection protrudes from the side wall. The assembly of the drawer side walls on the drawer bottom is thus possible in the desired manner by pressing onto the lateral front edges of the drawer bottom, the rib-like projection serving as an anchoring projection or the anchoring approaches of the web causing the drawer bottom to move relative to the Safely prevent side walls.

When the anchoring projection is designed as a transverse rib-like projection, the free edge of the projection facing away from the side wall is then advantageously sharpened in a cutting-like manner in order to penetrate the material of the floor during the assembly process and to avoid damaging the floor.

If the anchoring projection or the anchoring projections are each formed by a web aligned with the speargun bridge sections with tooth-like anchoring sets projecting beyond the dimension of the greatest thickness of the speargun bridge and penetrating into the material of the groove side walls during assembly, it is advantageous if the have tooth-like anchoring approaches at right angles to the drawer pulling direction and to the side wall flat sides of sharpened knife edges which facilitate penetration of the anchoring approaches into the groove of the side walls.

These tooth-like anchoring approaches then expediently have sharpened knife edges which run at right angles to the drawer pulling direction and to the side wall flat sides, which facilitate penetration of the anchoring approaches into the groove of the side walls.

It is advantageous if the anchoring projection or the anchoring projections is or are in each case an integral part of the associated drawer side wall.

Hierfür können übliche bekannte Verbindungsbeschläge Verwendung finden.1 schematically shows a drawer, designated in its entirety by 10, which is known in this form and which consists of two side wall profiles 12 produced in an extrusion process from an aluminum alloy, a wooden floor 14 indicated only in dashed lines, and a wooden rear wall 16 and a front panel 18 indicated by dash-dotted lines. The manner in which the rear wall 16 and the front panel 18 are connected to the side wall profiles 12 is not shown, because it is not the subject of the invention. Commonly known connection fittings can be used for this.

The - in this form known - side wall profiles 12 have a vertical web section 20 which laterally delimits the inside of the drawer, on the upper edge of which a narrow strip-shaped leg section 22 bent outwards at right angles is attached in one piece. In the area of the lower edge, a total of three strip-shaped projections project in the vertical direction offset parallel to one another approximately at right angles in the direction of the drawer bottom 14. The lower strip-shaped projection 24 engages underneath and the upper strip-shaped projection 26 overlaps the base 14, ie the clear distance between the strip-shaped projections 24, 26 corresponds approximately to the thickness of the base 14. The upper side of the upper strip-shaped projection 26 visible in the fully assembled drawer 10 is rounded in cross-section in the manner of a groove, which makes cleaning the drawer in the transition region between the base 14 and the side wall profile 12 easier. The projection running approximately in the middle between the strip-shaped projections 24, 26 is designed as a continuous speargun web 28 which can be knocked in or pressed into a longitudinal groove 30 (FIGS. 3 and 6) which is undersized in width in the facing end edge 32 of the base 14 .

In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, the side wall profile 12 is modified compared to the known side wall profile shown in FIG. 4 in that the speargun bridge is interrupted at regular intervals, so that it is spaced from a number of shorter ones in the drawer pulling direction Harpoon bridge sections 28a is formed.

In the area of the interruptions, rib-like projections 34 projecting transversely to the harpoon bridge sections protrude from the bridge section 20 of the side wall profiles 12, which are sharpened like a blade on their free edge 36 facing away from the side wall.

Einschubrichtung bewirken. It can be seen that these transverse rib-like projections, which project beyond the lateral boundaries of the speargear web sections 28a in the transverse direction, cut into the end edges of the base 14 when the side wall profiles 12 and the base 14 are pressed together, and thus secure the base against displacement relative to cause the side wall profiles 12 in the drawer pull-out or insertion direction.

The side wall profile 12 shown in FIGS. 5 to 7 differs from the above-explained side wall profile shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 only with regard to the design of the anchoring projections. Instead of the rib-like projections 34 which run transversely to the speargear web sections 28a, there are webs 38 which are aligned in alignment with the harpoon web sections 28a and which, in cross section, are sawtooth-shaped and occur at right angles to the dimension of the greatest thickness of the speargun web sections 28a Have drawer pulling direction extending anchoring lugs 40. These anchoring approaches are thus provided with knife-like blades penetrating into the side walls of the groove 30 of the base 14 and thus again provide the fixation of the base 14 against displacement in the drawer insertion direction relative to the side wall profiles 12. By arranging the anchoring approaches described in an alternately rotated position by 180 °, the floor can also be additionally fixed in the pull-out direction.

It can be seen that modifications and developments of the specifically described exemplary embodiments can be implemented within the scope of the inventive concept. The side wall can thus be secured against displacement relative to the floor in an analogous manner even in the case of side walls extruded or injection molded from plastic. The specially described shape of the anchor projections can also be modified. It is only essential that, after penetrating the front wall of the drawer bottom, in addition to the speargun webs in the groove in the drawer bottom, they bring about a positive anchoring of the side wall to the floor. It can also be useful if the anchoring protrusions are first manufactured separately and then attached to the side wall in the intended anchoring area.
