Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a snowshoe and more particularly an improvement of its support face on snow and which improves performance.
  • Snowshoes have been known for a long time many years because used for several centuries by Scandinavian people to move on the snow. Until our days, snowshoes were used for utility or military purposes, to allow the populations and the alpine troops to move on the snow for their daily necessities. Currently, snowshoes are used more by athletes who go on hikes and walks, or even competitions. But athletes, although practicing for their pleasure, are more and more demanding for the material they use, and it is true that the products currently sold are not entirely satisfactory, and especially when traveling on packed, hard or icy snow, as well than on a side course on a slope.
  • the snowshoe comprising a binding constituted by an articulated plate and retaining means, said fixing being articulated with respect to a screen defined by a peripheral wall of a main frame, said screen being in the form of an openwork plate comprising a set of internal walls intended to rest on the snow and support the binding and the boot the user, the lower border of the peripheral wall defining a first hanging plane, is characterized in that the central part of the screen comprises at least one internal hanging wall, the lower border protrudes under said foreground.
  • the internal attachment wall is arranged transversely in the area occupied by the shoe, while that in another, it extends longitudinally.
  • the racket comprises two internal lateral attachment walls, which are either parallel or converging, and in particular converging forward.
  • the lower surface of the screen forms a second plane set back above the first plane.
  • the central part of the sieve includes a secondary frame consisting of four attachment walls whose lower border protrudes under the foreground to form a third plane located under said first plane.
  • the height of the peripheral wall is less than the height of the internal wall (s) hanging, while the height of the screen walls is less than the height of the peripheral wall of the frame.
  • Figures 1 to 8 show a first embodiment.
  • Figure 1 is a top view of the snowshoe according to the invention with its binding, but without the shoe.
  • Figure 2 is a side view of Figure 1, the shoe being represented in thin mixed lines.
  • Figure 3 is a bottom view.
  • Figure 4 is a side view in partial longitudinal section according to IV-IV, the binding intended to retain the shoe not being represented.
  • Figures 5, 6, 7 and 8 are cross-sectional views, respectively according to V-V, VI-VI, VII-VII and VIII-VIII, these sectional views being views on a scale different from that of FIG. 3, for better see the details.
  • FIGS. 9a to 11b are simplified schematic views, similar to FIGS. 3 and 4, illustrating three alternative embodiments given for example.
  • Figures 9a and 9b show a first variant.
  • Figures 10a and 10b show a second variant.
  • Figures 11a and 11b show a third variant.
  • Figures 12 and 13 are views similar to Figures 2 and 4 illustrating an alternative embodiment.
  • the racket designated under the general reference (1) is presented in the form of an openwork plate of general plane of symmetry (P) fixed under the shoe and which consists of a main frame (2), consisting a peripheral wall (3) delimiting an interior zone or screen (4), comprising a set of internal walls supporting the fixing (5) intended to retain the shoe (6) of the user.
  • Said main frame has a generally elongated shape extending at the rear by a tail (7) of reduced width, while the front is raised and substantially shaped pointed to form the front spatula (8).
  • Said screen (4) with its set of internal walls forms a general lower support surface (9) on snow allowing the user not to sink too far into the snow, thanks to the large bearing surface.
  • the fixing (5) intended to retain the shoe (6) is, according to the example illustrated, articulated relative to the sieve (4) of the racket itself, along a transverse axis (XX ').
  • said attachment bearing the general reference (5) is constituted by an articulated plate (10) comprising means for shoe retainer, namely front means (11) and means rear (12).
  • the front end (60) of the shoe is retained by a front stirrup (110), while its rear end (61) is, thanks to a pivoting rear caliper (120) comprising a retaining lever (121).
  • the plate (10) is advantageously rigid and extends longitudinally, comprising an upper bearing surface (13) for supporting the shoe sole.
  • the position of the rear bracket (120) is adjustable thanks to a succession of holes lateral hooking (15).
  • the fine adjustment allowing a perfect adaptation to the length of the shoe, is ensured by two lateral nuts (16a, 16b) arranged on the tie rods of the rear caliper.
  • the main frame consists of a vertical wall peripheral (3) whose lower border (30) determines a first plane (P1), the lower bearing surface (9) of the screen (4) being set back by relation to said plane (P1), that is to say that the plane (P3) formed by the surface lower support (9) is located above the plane (P1) by a value "a".
  • at least one of the internal walls of the screen is a vertical wall, the lower edge of which protrudes under the foreground (P1), and according to the embodiment illustrated in Figures 1 to 8, the area central (60) of the sieve occupied by the shoe comprises an assembly of several of these projecting walls.
  • said central zone arranged under the foot includes a secondary frame (20) formed by a wall front (21), a rear wall (22) and two side walls (23, 24).
  • the rest of the screen is made up of a set of internal walls whose height (h) is firstly less than the height (H2) of the walls of the secondary frame (20), and on the other hand, at the height (H1) of the wall of the main frame (2).
  • the general plane (P3) of the lower surface (9) of the sieve is set back on the one hand from the plane (P1), and on the other hand, from the plan (P2).
  • Figures 9a and 9b show a first variant according to which, the screen (4) comprises a single front hooking wall (21 ') extending transversely at the level of the metatarsal zone of the shoe and whose lower edge (210) projects below the plane (P1).
  • the screen (4) comprises a single front hooking wall (21 ') extending transversely at the level of the metatarsal zone of the shoe and whose lower edge (210) projects below the plane (P1).
  • Figures 10a and 10b show a second variant according to which, the central zone of the sieve comprises two side walls hooking (23 ', 24') extending longitudinally so substantially parallel and the respective lower edges (230 ', 240 ') protrude below the plane (P1).
  • Figures 11a and 11b show a third variant according to which, the two side walls (23 ', 24') for attachment are located under the area occupied by the shoe and converge forward (AV).
  • cleats (50) were arranged on the projecting edges (210, 220, 230, 240, 210 ', 220', 230 ', 240') and in particular as shown in Figures 12 and 13. According to this variant, there are four studs (50a, 50b, 50c, 50d).
