Bekanntlich erfolgt bei den nach dem Offsetverfahren arbeitenden Druckmaschinen die Steuerung der Farbgebung durch Verändern der Feuchtmittel- und/oder Farbführung. Dazu wird die Drehzahl der Feucht- bzw. Farbduktoren im Feucht- bzw. Farbwerk der Druckmaschine in Abhängigkeit der Druckgeschwindigkeit auf einen bestimmten Wert eingestellt. Derartige Steuerungen für ein Feucht- bzw. ein Farbwerk sind aus der GB 2 193 926 A bzw. der DE 3 832 527 C2 bekannt. Nach der Erfindung ist bei einer Bogenoffsetdruckmaschine vorgesehen, daß, nachdem das Kommando zu einer Geschwindigkeitsänderung eingegeben worden ist, zunächst die Drehzahl des Feucht- und/oder Farbduktors nach einer bestimmten Zeitfunktion auf einen für die vorgegebene Maschinendrehzahl entsprechenden Wert hochgefahren wird und daß daraufhin nach einer bestimmten Zahl von Maschinenumdrehungen die Veränderung der Druckgeschwindigkeit ebenfalls nach einer vorgegebenen Zeitfunktion durchgeführt wird. Gemäß einer Weiterbildung der Erfindung ist vorgesehen, daß das Einleiten der zeitlichen Drehzahländerung für Feucht- und Farbduktor sowie auch das Einleiten der Veränderung der Druckgeschwindigkeit über entsprechendes Ansteuern des Hauptantriebs jeweils bezogen auf eine bestimmte Stellung des Hebergetriebes erfolgt. Ausgenutzt wird dabei, daß Bogenoffsetdruckmaschinen einen elektrisch geregelten Antrieb haben, bei welchem eine Änderung der Druckgeschwindigkeit nach einer festen, vorgegebenen Zeitfunktion erfolgt.
