Die Erfindung stellt sicher, daß durch das Kerben mittels Rollenpaaren bei der Kerbung in der ersten Bewegungsrichtung am Auslauf bestehende Nasen durch die Kerbung in der zweiten Bewegungsrichtung beseitigt werden. Die Kerbung in der zweiten Bewegungsrichtung erfolgt im eingespannten Zustand des Tonstrangstückes zwischen den Kerbrollenpaaren durch Bewegung der Kerbrollenpaare aufeinander zu, so daß kein Auslauf der Kerbrollen aus den gebildeten Kerben mit dem Risiko der Nasenbildung gegeben ist. Die Zeichnung zeigt eine Vorrichtung zum umlaufenden Kerben eines Tonstrangstückes und zum Schneiden desselben in Formlinge. Das Tonstrangstück wird von einem Zubringer mit einem Schieber 2 quer zu seiner Längserstreckung abgeschoben und in eine Kerbeinrichtung 3 gebracht. Die Kerbeinrichtung enthält einen unteren und einen oberen Kerbrollenhalter 4 bzw. 4′. An den Kerbrollenhalter sind jeweils paarweise Reihen von Kerbrollen 5 bzw. 5′ angebracht. Die Kerbrollenreihen können in eine Stellung zueinander gebracht werden, die das gleichzeitige Kerben jeweils zwei gegenüberliegender Strangseiten erlaubt. Dazu sind Rollenreihenpaare 5 bzw. 5′ auf den oberen und den unteren Rollenhaltern 4, 4′ jeweils abstandsveränderlich angebracht und die Kerbrollenhalter 4, 4′ mittels einer gemeinsamen und gegenläufig wirkenden Exzenterwelle 7 aufeinander zu und voneinander weg bewegbar. - An apparatus for implementation of the process according to Claims 1 and 2, having a conveyor (2) for controlled movement of said column (1) transverse to the longitudinal direction thereof into a chamfering device having movable rows of chamfer rollers movable transversely to the movement direction of said clay column, characterised in that said chamfering device (3) comprises an upper and a lower chamfer roller holder (4, 4′) holding said column (1) between them and having rows of chamfer rollers (5, 5′) respectively attached thereto in pairs, said rows having a first position in relation to one another leading to chamfering of the upper and lower sides of said column (1), in that said chamfer roller holders (4, 4′) are also movable in the direction of the column centre and towards one another out of said first position into a second position while acting on the front and rear of said column, and in that said column is liftable by a lifting table (8) through said chamfer roller pair in said second position.
- An apparatus according to Claim 3, characterised in that the distance between said chamfer roller rows on said chamfer roller holders (4, 4′) is adjustable.
- An apparatus according to Claim 3 or 4, characterised in that said lifting table (8) moves said column (1) through cutting wires (6) disposed above said chambering device (3) into the plane of a discharge conveyor (10).
- An apparatus according to one of Claims 3 to 5, characterised in that said two chamfer roller holders (4, 4′) are moved towards one another by means of a common eccentric shaft (7) acting in the opposite direction.
- An apparatus according to one of Claims 4 or 5, characterised in that said lifting table (8) is raised and lowered by means of a crank gear (9).
- An apparatus according to Claim 3, characterised in that said column (1) is moved in said first movement direction by a slide serving as a conveyor (2) through said chamfering device (3) and then positioned.
