Abstract

A description is given of a shuttering for shuttering end surfaces (1c) of two neighbouring concrete structural-part portions (1) of predetermined thickness (D), having a sheet-like shuttering wall (3) containing an expanded-metal panel (3a, 3b). The shuttering further contains a seal (4) which spans a joint between the two structural-part portions (1). In order to protect the expanded-metal panels against corrosion, it is proposed that the expanded-metal panel (3a, 3b) be designed such that it is narrower than the predetermined thickness (D) of the structural-part portion (1), an interspace, in which a concrete covering strip (12, 13) is arranged, remaining between at least one free edge (10, 11) of the expanded-metal panel (3a, 3b) and an outer surface (1a, 1b) of the structural-part portion (1), and the concrete covering strip (12, 13) exhibiting a cutout (12a, 13a) for receiving the free edge (10, 11). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to formwork for shuttering the end faces of two adjacent component sections made of concrete of the type explained in the preamble of claim 1.

Such formwork is known from DE-AS 1 259 546. In the known formwork, the expanded metal extends on both sides to the outer formwork wall, which delimits the outer surfaces of the component section. However, this means that the formwork parts made of metal are exposed to the outside or close to the surface and are therefore subject to increased corrosion.

The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a formwork of the type mentioned which has improved corrosion protection.

The object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

By using a recessed concrete cover strip as the outer edge of the formwork of the end face, the metal formwork is kept at a sufficient distance from the surface of the concrete part to be poured. The recess in the concrete cover strip also creates a free space around the free edges of the metal formwork, which can later be filled with concrete so that it is well anchored is achieved in concrete.

In the case of component sections exposed to corrosion on both sides, concrete cover strips should be present on both sides according to claim 2.

Claim 3 describes a particularly preferred embodiment of the formwork material, which is inherently stable and sufficiently rough to achieve good anchoring in the concrete.

The anchoring in the concrete that flows behind the metal rod is further improved by the metal rod arranged according to claim 4 on the free edge.

The molded-in toothing groove according to claim 5 extends the path that any water that may have to travel and thus improves the corrosion protection.

The toothed grooves formed on both sides of the seal are particularly expedient and effective.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the single drawing, which shows a cross section through a formwork according to the invention in plan view, the first component section having already been cast.

9 eingeformt, die parallel zur Wassersperre 4 verlaufen.FIG. 1 shows a first component section 1, a wall is shown, in plan view. The lateral surfaces 1a and 1b of the component section 1 are delimited by the usual wooden formwork walls 2a and 2b. The end face 1c of the component section 1 is delimited by a formwork wall 3, which has two strip-shaped expanded metal panels 3a, 3b as lost formwork, which are butt-welded on both sides to a metal strip 4 as a water barrier. Both strips 3a, 3b consist of a strip of expanded metal 5, on one side of which longitudinal metal bars 6 and on the other side of which transverse metal bars 7 are welded in a grid-like manner. A toothing groove 8 or 9, which run parallel to the water barrier 4, is formed in each strip 3a, 3b at a predetermined distance from the water barrier 4.

The strips 3a, 3b of the formwork wall 3 are narrower than it corresponds to the thickness D of the component section 1 determined by the spacing of the formwork walls 2a, 2b, so that on both sides of the free edges 10 and 11 of each strip 3a, 3b there is a space which remains through each a wooden concrete cover strip 12, 13 is filled. Each concrete cover strip 12, 13 has a recess 12a, 13a at its corner facing the first grouted component section 1, which is so large that the respectively free edge 10 or 11 of the strips 3a, 3b can be received. The depth of the recess 12a, 13a should be such that the entire thickness of the strip 3a, 3b, including a longitudinal bar 6 arranged on the free edge 10, 11, can be accommodated, a surface of the concrete cover strip 12, 13 having at least one Surface of the strips 3a, 3b should be aligned.

If necessary, longitudinal reinforcement bars 14 can be provided which are pushed through the metal of the strips 3a, 3b.

When the first component section 1 is poured, the concrete cover strip 12, 13 keeps a space around the free edge 10, 11 of the strips 3a, 3b made of rod-reinforced expanded metal, which space is filled after the removal of the concrete cover strips 12, 13. Thus, the attachment areas between concrete sections poured at different times and thus the potential seepage points for water are displaced from the plane of the metal strips 3a, 3b, at least in the area near the surface, so that the water entry and access to the rust-prone metal formwork is made more difficult. The passage of water is further complicated by the toothing grooves and the water barrier.

In a modification of the described and drawn embodiment, a joint seal or the like can be provided instead of the water barrier. The longitudinal reinforcement can be omitted. Instead of the recess that is open on two sides, a slot-shaped recess may also be expedient under certain circumstances. If a corrosive load can only be expected from one side, it is sufficient to provide the concrete cover strip only on one side, while on the other side of the component section the metal formwork panel extends to the surface.
