Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a ridge ventilation system for saddle roofs, the profiled pans of which are covered with ridge-adjoining roof tiles, which are provided in front with a ridge that extends across the width of the pans and on the inside of which runs into the pan sink (s) with the exception of the coupling area covering the adjacent pan , underpinned by insulation from the eaves to the ridge, leaving a space in between, with a ridge ventilation element extending over the length of the ridge in the form of an air-permeable, water-repellent, with its longitudinal edge parts against the webs formed on the ridge-adjoining roof tiles , with the webs an adhesive connection of incoming sealing tape, which is underpinned in the middle by the ridge batten.
When covering saddle roofs with roof tiles, the insulation of the roof covering by the roof tiles is now the rule, leaving an intervening gap between the eaves and the ridge area. This insulation makes ventilation of the space between the roof tiles and insulation required. For this purpose, ridge ventilation elements are provided which extend over the length of the ridge and are supported on the ridge batten and on the rows of tiles of the roof covering which adjoin the ridge batten and which are overlapped by the ridge pans. Plastic molded parts with air passage openings are used as ridge ventilation elements, which are supported on the ridge-adjacent pan rows of the roof covering via their longitudinal edge parts assigned to them. It can then be a two-part element. The ridge pans are supported on this ridge ventilation element (DE-A-30 23 083). Recently, waterproof sealing tapes have been used on the one hand, and on the other hand air-permeable, they also come into contact with the space between the ridge slat and the ridge-adjoining roof tiles with their longitudinal edges against the ridge-adjacent tile rows of the roof covering. In this case, the ridge pan sits on the ridge batten (EP-A-0 341 343 and DE-A-40 01 766). According to the state of the art, when using bulges and depressions which form profiled roof tiles, the longitudinal edge parts of the ridge ventilation elements have to be adapted to the contours resulting from the profiling of the roof tiles. This results in a different deformation of the foam strips in the case of plastic molded parts which are supported by foam strips on the ridges adjacent to the roof covering, which affects the service life of the foam strips. The desired formation of a water barrier through the foam strips leaves something to be desired. If, on the one hand, water-impermeable and, on the other hand, air-permeable flexible sealing tapes are used as the ridge ventilation element, special measures are required for adapting the edge areas coming into contact with the ridge-adjoining pans of the sealing tape to the pan contours. If the ridge pans only sit on the ridge batten, this results in a comparatively small free space between the ridge pans and the ridge ventilation element with a correspondingly low throughput of incoming outside air at the expense of ventilation.
Starting from the above-described prior art, the object of the invention is to make the roofing of the ridge area of insulated and ventilated gable roofs less problematic while optimizing the ventilation.
The object is achieved with a ridge ventilation system of the generic type, characterized in that the sealing tape is overlapped by ridge pans, leaving a continuous space from one side of the roof to the other side of the roof, forming a protrusion on the foot side to the one adjacent to the ridge Fit the roof tiles formed on the pans.
When installed, the special pans with the ridge molded onto them on the head side form a flat support for the longitudinal edge parts of the ridge-covering ridge ventilation element that extends over the length of the ridge, which facilitates the assignment of the ridge ventilation element and the sealing function of the system desired in this area improved against blow water. The flexible sealing tape that crosses the ridge and is air-permeable and air-permeable is used, which rests with its edge parts glued to the ridges adjacent to the roof covering, so that it can be laid in the simplest way. The ridge pans, which cross over the ridges and therefore also overlap the sealing tape, and which sit on the pans while forming a protrusion over the web formed on the ridge tiles, form a comparatively large free space above the sealing tape, from which a correspondingly large throughput of incoming outside air results, which, due to its correspondingly high suction effect, leads to improved ventilation. The protrusion of the ridge tiles over the ridge formed on the ridge tiles and thus also over the sealing tape located below it, which is therefore completely covered by the ridge tiles, on the one hand prevents the effect of UV radiation on the tape which affects the service life of the sealing tape, on the other hand, in this way, an impairment of the visual impression of the roof covering by edge areas of the ridge ventilation elements that protrude predominantly under the ridge pans is avoided.
Refinements of the new ventilation system result from subclaims 2 to 7. If the web provided in front of the head of the special pan jumps back against the apex of the pan bulge / s, this desirably results in an even larger inlet cross section in the space formed between the ridge ventilation element and the ridge pans the incoming outside air. A continuous transition of the web provided in front of the head of the special pan into the pan sink / s desirably forms a guide surface for the incoming outside air. In order not to allow the space between the sealing tape and the ridge pan to become too large, a dimensionally stable perforated plastic strip projecting over the ridge bar can be inserted between the ridge batten and the sealing tape.
The outside air flowing in the gutters formed in the roof tiles enters and enters the space between the ridge-covering, the space between the roof covering and the roof insulation against the access of water-tight sealing tape shielding with water flowing in with the incoming outside air in the ridge area and the space between the ridge tiles covering the sealing tape leaves this area on the side of the ridge facing away from the incoming outside air, the outside air sweeping over the sealing tape sucks air in the area between the roof covering and the roof insulation due to the suction effect it exerts through the air-permeable sealing tape and thus ventilates and ventilates this area. The watertightness of the sealing tape thus secures the area between the insulation and the roof covering against the entry of water particles entrained by the incoming outside air. The access of blow water to the one below the ridge pans The space is blocked by the water barrier formed on the special pans adjacent to the ridge.

The
Figures 4 to 6 illustrate the new ventilation system. The
When the outside air flows in the direction of arrow A in FIG. 5, it hits the roof covering (11) and is deflected to the
Although the
