Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Füllen von mit einem eingezogenen oberen Rand versehenen dosenartigen Behältern mit einem Füllzylinder für eine vorzugsweise Gas enthaltende Flüssigkeit und mit einem Antrieb zum Bewegen eines hohlen den Füllzylinder umgebenden Zylinders über den oberen Teil eines Behälters in Füllstellung, wobei an der Innenfläche des hohlen Zylinders eine Dichtung aus elastischem und/oder flexiblem Material angeordnet ist, der über einen Kanal ein Druckmedium zum Abdichten zuführbar ist.
Bei der Füllung von Behältern mit insbesondere gashaltiger Flüssigkeit besteht ein Problem darin, ein ungewolltes Über- oder Ausfließen der in einem Füllrohr zugeführten Flüssigkeit zu vermeiden.
Die EP-A-0204937 beschreibt eine weitere Vorrichtung zum Füllen von Dosen mit einem Füllzylinder für eine Flüssigkeit und mit einem Antrieb zum Bewegen eines hohlen den Füllzylinder umgebenden Zylinders über den oberen Teil der Dose in Füllstellung. An der Innenfläche des hohlen Zylinders befindet sich eine Dichtung aus elastischem Material.
Die GB-A-23509 A.D. 1911 zeigt eine Füllvorrichtung für Flaschen, die einen stationären Tisch und ein Gleitstück mit einer ringförmigen hohlen Dichtung aus elastischem Material aufweist.
Wenn ein Zuführungsrohr für die einzufüllende Flüssigkeit durch Kanäle im Tisch und Gleitstück in die Flasche bewegt ist, kann in den hohlen Ring, der den Flaschenkopf vollständig umgibt, ein Druckmedium (Flüssigkeit oder Gas) hineingedrückt werden, so daß die Flasche, an der Dichtungsvorrichtung hängend, von dem Gleitstück nach einer Verschließeinrichtung, z. B. einer Verkorkungseinrichtung, bewegt werden kann. Die bekannte Füllvorrichtung ist nach ihrer Konstruktion und Wirkungsweise nicht für höhere Fülleistungen geeignet.
Die der Erfindung zugrundeliegende Aufgabe besteht darin, eine bekannte Füllvorrichtung der eingangs genannten Art weiterzubilden.
Die Lösung gemäß der Erfindung besteht darin, daß die Dichtung im Zylinder in der Füllstellung mit Abstand vom Auslaß der Flüssigkeitszuleitung des Füllzylinders angeordnet ist, derart, daß der ringförmige Anlagebereich für die bei Beaufschlagung mit dem Druckmedium an der Außenwand des Behälters anliegende Dichtung sich im oberen Bereich des Behälters befindet, in dem dieser eine maximale Querschnittsfläche aufweist.

Die mit der Erfindung verbundenen Vorteile bestehen darin, daß eine gute Abdichtung zwischen der Zuleitung der einzufüllenden Flüssigkeit und dem Behälter geschaffen wird, so daß ein ungewolltes Austreten von Flüssigkeit, auch wenn dieses Gas enthält, zuverlässig vermieden wird. Ein besonderer zusätzlicher Vorteil besteht darin, daß bei Gegendruck-Füllvorrichtungen das erforderliche Spanngas zusätzlich zum Andrücken der Dichtung an die Behälteraußenwand verwendet wird.
Im Gegensatz zu Füllvorrichtungen mit Dichtungen, die mit einem Druckmedium beaufschlagt sind und an dem eingezogenen Rand eines Behälters ansetzen, ist die Füllvorrichtung gemäß der Erfindung insofern vorteilhaft, als bei den unvermeidbaren Dichtungskräften keine Kraftkomponenten in axialer Richtung auftreten, die die Böden der Behälter beanspruchen.

Ein hohler stationärer Füllzylinder 1 ist umgeben von einem weiteren Zylinder 2, eine sogenannte Tulpe, der von einem Antrieb 3 entsprechend dem Doppelpfeil 4 auf- und abbewegbar ist. Im Inneren des Füllzylinders 1 befindet sich ein Gasrohr 6, das von einem nicht dargestellten Antrieb ebenfalls entsprechend dem Doppelpfleil 7 auf- und abbewegbar ist. Das Gasrohr 6 dient zum Zuführen eines unter Druck stehenden Gases, auch Spanngas genannt, das aus CO₂, Luft, Stickstoff oder dgl. bestehen kann, und zum Abführen des von der Flüssigkeit verdrängten Spanngases, welches auch Rückgas genannt wird. Das Gasrohr 6 ist an einer Außenfläche 8 mit einem Dichtring 9 versehen, der sich in der untersten Stellung, der Verschlußstellung (strichliert angedeutet und mit 9a bezeichnet), gegen eine Innenfläche 11 des Füllzylinders 1 anlegt. Durch den Ringraum 12 zwischen Füllzylinder 1 und Gasrohr 6 ist eine unter Gasdruck, z. B. CO2, stehende Flüssigkeit aus einem nicht dargestellten Vorratsbehälter zuführbar (Pfeil 13). Durch eine Bohrung 14 des Gasrohrs 6 ist Spanngas zuführbar (entsprechend Pfeil 16) und Rückgas abführbar (entsprechend Pfeil 17).
In einer Nut an der Innenfläche 18 des Zylinders 2 befindet sich eine Gleitdichtung 19. In einer weiteren Nut 21 an der Innenfläche 18 befindet sich eine weitere Dichtung 22 aus einem elastischen und/oder flexiblen Material, die U-förmig ausgebildet ist und über einen von einem Zwischenraum 20 abgehenden Kanal 23 mit dem Füllraum 24 oberhalb des zu füllenden Behälters 26 in Form einer Dose und unterhalb des Gasrohrs 6 verbunden ist. Wirkungsweise der Füllvorrichtung gemäß der Erfindung:
Vor dem Zuführen eines zu füllenden Behälters 26 befinden sich Zylinder 2 und Gasrohr 6 in ihrer nicht dargestellten oberen Ausgangsposition. Sobald ein Behälter 26 in die gezeichnete Lage verbracht worden ist, bewirkt der Antrieb 3 ein Senken des Zylinders 2 in die gezeichnete Stellung, wobei die Dichtung 22 sich über die Außenfläche des Behälters 26 schiebt und diesen zentriert. Mit dem Zylinder 2 wird auch das Gasrohr 6 derart abgesenkt, daß am Ende des Absenkvorganges die Ringdichtung 9 in der Stellung 9a ist, so daß keine Verbindung zwischen dem oberen Teil des Ringraumes 12 und dem Füllraum 24 besteht. Vor der Freigabe der Zufuhr der Gas enthaltenden Flüssigkeit, die also unter Druck steht, aus dem Vorratsbehälter wird nach Betätigen eines nicht dargestellten Ventils durch die Bohrung 14 unter Druck Spanngas, z. B. CO₂₋Gas, zugeleitet, das sowohl in den Behälter 26 als auch durch den Kanal 23 in das Innere 22a der Dichtung 22 gelangt und deren Außenfläche gegen die Behälterwand 26 drückt. Nach Druckausgleich wird das Gasrohr 6 relativ zum Füllzylinder 2 angehoben, so daß Flüssigkeit durch den Ringraum 12 in den Behälter 26 strömen kann. Die einströmende Flüssigkeit verdrängt das Spanngas, das, etwa nach Umschalten eines nicht dargestellten Ventils, durch die Bohrung 14 als Rückgas entweichen kann.
Nach beendeter Füllung wird das Gasrohr in Schließposition abgesenkt (Dichtring 9 wieder in Position 9a) und damit die Flüssigkeitszufuhr beendet. Sodann wird durch das Entlüftungsventil das Gas aus dem Füllraum 24 abgelassen, wodurch der Druck in der Dichtung 22 verschwindet. Die durch das Spanngas hervorgerufene Andrückkraft, mit der die Dichtung 22 gegen die Behälteraußenwand gedrückt worden ist, verschwindet, so daß der Zylinder 2 zusammen mit dem Gasrohr 6 leicht angehoben und in seine obere Ausgangsposition bewegt werden kann. Danach kann der gefüllte Behälter 26 entfernt und ein neuer leerer Behälter zugeführt werden, worauf sich der Füllvorgang wiederholt.Operation of the filling device according to the invention:
