Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a flash lamp with a gas-filled glass tube into which two electrodes protrude from the end faces.
It is known to build up a flash lamp of this type at its two ends in such a way that the respective pin-shaped electrode is melted into a glass body which rests on the end face of the glass tube with the interposition of a layer of glass solder. The composition of the glass solder is adapted to the tempered glass of the glass tube in its thermal expansion, so that no thermal stresses arise. The centering of the electrodes in the glass tube is unsatisfactory. Exact centering is desirable, however, so that there is no uneven blackening of the inside of the glass tube due to electrode erosion.
The invention has for its object to design a flash lamp of the type mentioned so that an exact centering of the electrodes takes place with only a small manufacturing tolerance.
Ein gasdichter Abschluß der Blitzlampe ist durch an den Stirnseiten vorgesehene Schichten aus Glaslot gewährleistet, die jeweils die Stirnseite desThis object is achieved in that the electrodes are each melted into a hollow cylindrical glass body inserted in the interior of the glass tube, the outer end face of each glass body being approximately flush with the corresponding end face of the glass tube and together with this end face from a layer of glass solder is covered. In the flash lamp according to the invention, the electrodes are centered by the glass body lying inside the glass tube and fitting into it. A gas-tight closure of the flash lamp is ensured by layers of glass solder provided on the end faces, each of which is the end face of the
Cover the glass tube and the glass body supporting the electrode.
The invention is explained below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing.
The drawing shows a flash lamp with a gas-filled glass tube 1, into which two electrodes protrude from the end faces. In the drawing, only one end of the glass tube 1 is shown with the corresponding electrode 2. The other end is designed accordingly.
The electrode 2 is melted into a hollow
The
