Abgesehen davon, daß die Handhabung bei der Einstellung der Neigung des Abdeckprofils schwierig ist, da die unter dem Haltersteg angeordnete Schraube schlecht zugänglich ist und der Abstützwinkel leicht verrutscht, ist es des weiteren von Nachteil, daß das Abdeckprofil nur an einer Abkantung des Haltersteges und an dem Abstützwinkel aufliegt. Bei hohen Belastungen wird das Abdeckprofil, bedingt durch den relativ großen Abstand zwischen den Auflagern und da somit eine Abstützung auf dessen Unterseite nur unzureichend gegeben ist, demnach mehr oder weniger durchgebogen und verformt. Claims (21)

  1. Fastener (1, 1'; 101) for fixing a coping (4) on the top (3) of a wall (2) or similar, having an adjustable angle of inclination and

    characterized in that

    the fastener (1, 1'; 101) comprises a retaining member (11; 111) placed on top (3) of the wall and a C-shaped support member (31; 131) which supports the coping (4), furthermore in that the support member (31; 131) can be locked in one of the limit positions of the retaining member (component 11'; 111') at a range of different heights and that the support member is pivot-mounted to it at the other limit position of the retaining member (component 11''; 111'').
  2. Fastener as claimed in claim 1

    characterized in that

    a guide rail (21; 126) is provided to enable the height of the support member (31; 131) to be adjusted in one limit position of the retaining member (11'), in which the support member (leg 33; 133) is slidably mounted and can be clamped in a range of different height settings with the help of a lock clamp (41; 141).
  3. Fastener as claimed in claim 2,

    characterized in that

    the guide rail (21) comprises an integral projection (15, 15'), being either continuous or divided at the retaining member (11'), and C-shaped clamping shoes (22, 23) arranged on the lock clamp (41) and gripping the sides of the support member (leg 33), characterized furthermore in that, to clamp the support member (31) between the projection (15, 15') of the retaining member (11') and the clamping shoes (22, 23), these shoes can be adjusted towards the projection (15, 15') by means of a lock clamp (41).
  4. Fastener as claimed in claims 1 to 3,

    characterized in that

    the lock clamp (41) is rotatably mounted in the projection (15, 15') on the retaining member (11').
  5. Fastener as claimed in claims 1 to 4

    characterized in that

    each of the limit positions of the lock clamps (41) has an eccentric section (44, 45), an eccentric disc or similar item arranged along the longitudinal axis for adjusting the clamping shoes (22, 23) and upon which it is preferable for the clamping shoes (22, 23) to be rotatably mounted.
  6. Fastener as claimed in one or more of claims 1 to 5,

    characterized in that

    the locating face (16) of the projection (15) facing the support member (leg 33) is arranged as a cylindrical feature with clamping shoes (22, 23) rotatably arranged around this.
  7. Fastener as claimed in one or more of claims 1 to 5,

    characterized in that,

    in conjunction with a projection (15') having a flat locating face (16') relative to the support member (leg 33), the section (11'a) of the retaining member (11') which supports the projection (15') is flexibly connected to section (11'b) of the retaining member (11') on top (3) of the wall.
  8. Fastener as claimed in claim 7,

    characterized in that

    both sections (11'a, 11'b) of the retaining member (11') interlock in a meshing manner and are flexibly connected to one another by means of a tightening screw (17).
  9. Fastener as claimed in one or more of claims 1 to 8,

    characterized in that

    the faces (27) of the clamping shoes (22, 23) adjacent to the support member (leg 33) are arranged with a corrugated surface, tapered or pyramidal projections or similar features.
  10. Fastener as claimed in one or more of claims 1 to 9,

    characterized in that

    the width of the support member (31) is approx. 2mm or less than the distance between the opposing faces of the clamping shoes (22, 23).
  11. Fastener as claimed in one or more of claims 1 to 10,

    characterized in that

    the extent of rotation of the lock clamp (41) is limited, for instance by a detent (18) arranged on the retaining member (11') which interacts with the grip (43) of the lock clamp (41).
  12. Fastener as claimed in claim 2,

    characterized in that

    the guide rail (126) is arranged preferably as angular sections (124, 125) protruding inwards on the outer faces of the retaining member (111 or 111'), being provided with gear-type teeth (127) which mate with similar teeth (134) on the leg (133) of the retaining member (131) which slides in the guide rail (126), whereby the gear teeth (127) in the retaining member (111') can be locked in position by a clamping bracket (141) supported in the retaining member (111').
  13. Fastener as claimed in claim 12,

    characterized in that

    the gear teeth (127) in the retaining member (111') have angular sections (124, 125) on the internal side of the legs (128), preferably angled downwards and/or protruding, and in that the side of the clamping bracket (141) opposite to gear teeth (127) is rotatably mounted in both legs (128) of the retaining member (111').
  14. Fastener as claimed in claim 12 or 13,

    characterized in that

    the clamping bracket (141) is arranged as a clamping pin (142) with a grip section (143) which has a recess (144) for adjusting the support member (131).
  15. Fastener as claimed in one or more of claims 1 to 14,

    characterized in that

    each of the longitudinal sides of retaining member (111 or 111') is provided with a guide groove (114; 120) formed by a gap between opposing guide faces (115, 116, 117; 121, 122) for limited swivel-mounted location of the support member (131) and in which the plate-shaped support member (131) is swivel-mounted.
  16. Fastener as claimed in claim 1,

    characterized in that

    the guide grooves (114; 120) are formed by inwardly-facing webs (112, 113) or projections (119) arranged on the retaining member (111 or 111'') and/or on its longitudinal sides.
  17. Fastener as claimed in claim 15 or 16,

    characterized in that

    the guide grooves (115; 120) are arranged in a diverging manner down the longitudinal axis of the support member (131).
  18. Fastener as claimed in one or more of claims 15 to 17,

    characterized in that

    the guide faces (122) on the retaining member (111') and/or the webs (112, 113) and/or the projections (119) are arranged as curved sections.
  19. Fastener as claimed in one or more of claims 16 to 18,

    characterized in that

    the webs (112, 113) or projections (119) on the outer face opposing the coping (4) are provided with a bevel edge (118; 123) running parallel to the guide faces (116; 122) which serve to limit the maximum angle at which the coping (4) can be set.
  20. Fastener as claimed in one or more of claims 1 to 19,

    characterized in that

    the retaining member (11; 111) consists of two plateshaped components (11', 11'', 111', 111'') of which one component (11', 111') can be arranged at different heights to secure the support member (31; 131) and the other component (11'', 111'') bears the guide features (webs 12, 112, 113, projection 119) for swivel-mounting of the support member (31; 131).
  21. Fastener as claimed in claim 20,

    characterized in that

    one or both components (11', 11'', 111', 111'') of the retaining member (11; 111) has/have oblong recesses (20; 130) for securing the coping (4) to the top (3) of the wall (2).
