Abstract

A carburettor (10) with inbuilt governor for speed control of an engine which comprises a throttle valve (16) actuated by a diaphragm (20) responding via a fluid line (25) to air pressure varying with engine speed, and also comprising a device (26) responding to air pressure varying with engine speed and connected in a duct (27) serving to vent said fluid line, said device including valving means (31) to control the degree of venting of said fluid line depending upon the response of said device to air pressure changes.
