Abstract

Process for producing fabrics, in particular multilayer fabrics on a loom, whereby in order to achieve extremely careful insertion of the picks even at high pickages, the pickages are above 20 picks/cm, the individual picks are not first beaten up, and beating-up is effected only after insertion of a complete set of picks consisting of several picks of a specified number.

Description

The invention relates to a method and a device for producing fabrics, in particular multi-layer fabrics, by means of a weaving machine, made entirely or overweight from highly sensitive, technical fibers, such as carbon fibers, glass fibers or the like, and also a fabric made therefrom in its structure.

From GB-PS 20 66 308 three-dimensional fabrics are known in which carbon fibers or glass fibers are used. It is also known to provide a movement sequence in the case of carbon fibers which avoids sudden stresses in order to take account of the extreme brittleness which is caused by their temperature coefficient close to zero.

Also known from EP 00 56 351 is a flat fabric, which consists of high-strength material, such as. B. metal, carbon fibers, aramids or mixtures thereof, etc. This flat fabric is brought into a certain shape.

In the known solutions, the achievable result is unsatisfactory, as has been found because, on conventional weaving machines, every weft thread entered into the shed is struck on the edge of the goods after the entry thereof. In this case, the rods of the reed rub against the warp threads with each weft insertion during both the forward and backward movement of the reed. At high or very high weft density and the associated stroke of the reed there is a proportionality between leaf movement, chain, weft density and loading stroke.

In order to counter abrasion on the highly sensitive warp material, it is known to work with twisted warp material or with fiber-wrapped warp material. However, this leads to intolerable reductions in strength in many cases, at least in relative terms with regard to the entire fabric.

The object of the invention, while avoiding the aforementioned disadvantages, is to provide a method and an apparatus, and with both a fabric, in the production of which there is no impairment of the highly sensitive warp threads even at high weft densities.

This task is solved by the characteristic of the main claim. The subclaims represent advantageous developments.

The solution according to the invention has the advantage that weft densities of 20 to over 150 weft / cm can be worked from highly sensitive yarns of the type mentioned, including the appropriate bonds, and thus the production of technical fabrics in warp and weft in a three-dimensional arrangement (multi-layer fabric ) is made possible. Even with a correspondingly high number of wefts, the friction of the leaf bars on the warp threads can be reduced so considerably that damage to the fabric is avoided. This is especially true in the case of highly sensitive materials for the warp threads, so that, as has been found, a decrease in strength due to damage to individual capillaries of the thread no longer occurs there. This leads to an optimal product, especially for multi-layer fabrics. If you weave this with marginal zones, the warp threads of which are less sensitive and the weft threads are attached after each entry, you get an intermediate product that is optimally produced without damage, in which the marginal areas can be cut off two-dimensionally and easily with little loss and the middle multi-layer area can be used again .

The invention is illustrated in the drawing and is explained in more detail in the description below. It shows:
  • 1 shows the schematic structure of a loom with the inventive fixtures (in a clear representation),
  • 2 shows a detail of a weaving machine, in which the positioning and locking of the reed holder is shown schematically,
  • 3 shows a detail in the area of the limit switch control of a weaving machine according to FIG. 1.

The rigid connections in the form of shaft couplings between gear shaft 1 and blade drive shaft 2 Figure 1- have been replaced by couplings 3 Figure 1-. The clutches are controlled synchronously using the conventional methods mentioned here: punched paper card from the dobby or a commercially available color selection device.

Hierbei bedeutet:
Loch = Schließen der Kupplung - Blattanschlag nach Shußeintrag
kein Loch = Öffnen der Kupplung - kein Blattanschlag
oder auch umgekehrt.
Here means:
Hole = closing the clutch - blade stop after entry of shot
no hole = opening of the clutch - no blade stop
or vice versa.

Since the gear shafts carry out the intermittent movement for the leaf stop independently of this control, the two outer shop supports are bushed out, so that they are no longer used for leaf drive, but only for leaf support.

On the coupling parts facing the right and left gears, which participate in the constant intermittent movement of the gear shafts, the blade segment holders 4-image 1- are screwed, which hold the blade segments 9-image 1- in the width of the goods edge.

The leaf segments, which work directly to the right and left of the reed, take over after each weft entry the stop on the right and left goods edge, the warp threads of which are made of an insensitive material.

This device ensures that each weft thread, in the event that there is no regular leaf stop, is deposited about 1-3 cm in front of the edge of the goods.

According to selected binding constructions, several shots can be entered, which as a group of shots are struck together at the edge of the goods with a blade stop after the couplings have been closed. By appropriate control of the position switch on the color selector (not shown here) via the limit switch 8 Figure 3- it is achieved that the opening and closing of the toothed couplings is only possible when the blade is in the rearmost position.

The exact positioning and locking of the reed holder when the tooth coupling is open is achieved by the electrical holding magnet 6 with the setting plate 7, Figures 1 and 2-, the electrical circuit being constructed in such a way that the holding magnet and tooth coupling work synchronously.

The principle of periodic leaf stroke is to be matched to certain binding constructions. In particular, this principle is suitable for the production of multi-layer fabrics which are constructed in such a way that periodically several shaft changes are carried out successively only from top to bottom or only from bottom to top.

The goal of the greatest possible protection of the warp material during weaving is achieved all the more, the fewer blade stops in relation to the number of wefts entered.

The number of shots to be fired at the edge of the goods at the same time by means of periodic sheet firing as a group depends on the construction of the binding and can be at least 2 and at most up to more than 10 shots.

Without a leaf stop, as many shots can be entered as there are shed changes without intersecting warp threads.

Dies geschieht,

This happens,
  • 1. in particular in the case of multi-layer fabrics in which the wefts are entered in several planes, the shafts being changed only from top to bottom or only from bottom to top,
  • 2. when two or more shots are entered in the same shed in uninterrupted order.

The leaf stop must follow to form the shed with intersecting warp threads.

It was found that the design features of the finished fabric, which it possesses due to the fact that lateral edge zones were struck after each shot, but the middle area only after the entry of a respective group of wefts of a certain size, especially in the area of technical fabrics, their use was not affect. In order to adapt to certain uses or to optimize the volume / strength ratio, after weaving, for example, the edge zones equipped with normal, less sensitive warp threads can also be cut off in full or in part.

All the new features mentioned in the description and shown in the drawing are essential to the invention, even if they are not expressly claimed in the claims.
