Claims (3)

An improved articulation for vehicle bonnets, comprising a fixed portion carrying a bearing (1A) receiving an end (4A) of a movable member, the assembly being articulated about a spindle (5) having a bearing surface (5A), characterized in that the bearing (1A), the end (4A) and the bearing surface (5A) are spherical such that in addition to the rotary movement without play for which it is designed, a relative angular disp!acement of the fixed and movable members is possible.
  2. An articulation as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that it is formed by a fixed support (1) carrying the spherical bearing (1A) receiving the spherical end (4A) of a movable member (4), the assembly being articulated about the spindle (5) also having a spherical bearing surface (5A) with the interposition of slide washers (6, 7).
  3. An articulation as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that the bore (1B) of the spherical bearing (1A) of the support (1) has a greater diameter than the articulation spindle (5) so as to allow the spherical bearing (1A) to slide between the washers (6, 7) in order to provide a relative angular clearance between the fixed support (1) and the movable member (4).
