Sehr hohe Umdrehungs­geschwindigkeiten und damit sehr hohe Anpreßkräfte können dazu führen, daß die Spitze der an der Dichtungsrippe ange­ordneten Dichtungslippe entgegen der Zentrifugalkraft von der Dichtfläche fort auf den Walzenzapfen zu gebogen wird. Bei dieser sogenannten Schuhbildung der Dichtungslippe ist deren Dichtungsfunktion stark eingeschränkt. Hinzu kommt, daß die Dichtungsrippe bei hohen Umdrehungsgeschwindigkeiten nicht mehr parallel zum mit dem Lagergehäuse fest verbunde­nen Ringbund ausgerichtet ist und es bei axialer Verschie­bung der Walze und damit der Dichtungsvorrichtung zu einem Kontakt zwischen der sich drehenden Dichtungsrippe und dem feststehenden Ringbund kommen kann. Der Drahtring bewirkt, daß sich dieser Bereich des Dichtungskörpers und die damit einstückig verbundene Ringrippe nicht der Zentri­fugalkraft folgende nach außen auf die Dichtungsfläche zube­wegen kann. Gleichzeitig wird verhindert, daß sich dieser Bereich um den einstückig ausgebildeten Verbindungssteg zum Dichtungskörper biegen kann, so daß die Dichtungsrippe stets parallel zum feststehenden Ringbund des Lagergehäuses ausge­richtet ist.This object is achieved in that the sealing body region holding the ring rib on the journal bushing in one piece is reinforced by a wire rope ring. Claims (4)

1. Dichtungsvorrichtung für Walzenlager in Walzgerüsten, bei denen der Walzenzapfen einen konischen Abschnitt zwischen der Walzenstirnfläche und dem mit einer Zapfenbuchse be­stückten, in einer Lagerbuchse im Lagergehäuse gelagerten Bereich des Walzenzapfens aufweist, mit einem einstücki­gen, ringförmigen, flexiblen und mittels Drahtseil und ggf. eines Stahlbandes mittig stabilisierten Dichtungs­körper, der auf den konischen Abschnitt aufgeschoben ist und mit Ringdichtungsansätzen an diesem anliegt, wobei der zapfenbuchsenseitige Ringdichtungsansatz mittels einer Schraubenfeder stabilisiert ist und der Dichtungs­körper mit dem äußeren Ringende mindestens einer von zwei in axialem Abstand angeordneten radialen, elastischen Ringrippen mit elastischem Reibungskontakt an mindestens eine gehäusefeste bzw. deckelfeste , seitlich eines Ring­bundes angeordnete ringförmige Dichtfläche anlegbar ist,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß der die zapfenbuchsenseitige Ringrippe (18) einstük­kig halternde Dichtungskörperbereich (26) durch einen Drahtseil-Ring (25) bewehrt ist.

daß der Drahtseil-Ring (25) in den Dichtungskörper (1) einvulkanisiert ist.

3. Dichtungsvorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß in den die zapfenbuchsenseitige Ringrippe (18) ein­stückig halternden Dichtungskörperbereich (26) eine den Drahtseil-Ring (25) umgebende Schraubenfeder (24) in den Dichtungskörper (1) einvulkanisiert ist.
3. Sealing device according to claim 1 or 2,
characterized,

4. Dichtungsvorrichtung nach mindestens einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß der Drahtseil-Ring (25) im Bereich des Endes des zapfenbuchsenseitigen Dichtungskörperbereichs (26) vorge­sehen ist.
