Abstract

1. Vibration absorber for a tennis racket of the type consisting of a pair of parallel plates (2, 3) made from an elastomeric material and intended to be inserted on either side of the screen of a racket in a mesh thereof so as to move apart the cords (C1 , C'1 ) of at least one pair of cords forming said screen, characterized in that it comprises, on the outside of each plate (2, 3), at least one additional detachable element (8, 9) parallel to the plates (2, 3) and whose shape and dimensions can be chosen at random in order to adapt the vibratory system of the racket in question.

2. Vibration absorber according to claim 1, characterized in that each of the detachable elements (8, 9) is inserted by a stud (6, 7) in an additional plate (4, 5) parallel to the plates (2, 3) and forming the basic absorber and moulded in one piece with said plates.
