Definitions
- the invention relates to a safety ski binding according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a ski binding is essentially described in AT-PS 330.632.
- the locking member is designed such that it causes the heel holder to be actuated both in the event of excessive lateral forces and in the event of excessive forces acting in the vertical plane.
- the toe piece can be designed as a simple holding bracket, as a result of which the holding device for the ski boot can be designed in a particularly simple manner in the front region of the sole plate.
- the known device has the disadvantage that the determination of the differently large forces for the lateral and vertical release can be reconciled somewhat difficult because the dimensions of the holding element which fixes the control element on the ski are limited for reasons of the available space dimensions . For this reason, the technical solution, which has been known for many years and in itself progressive, could not be implemented in practice.
- Such a ski binding is also known from DE-OS 28 04 986.
- the front and rear areas of the sole plate are mounted on holding elements on one and the same base plate. This is disadvantageous insofar as undesirable tension in the ski can occur in the case of ski deflections caused by the terrain.
- the invention is intended to create a particularly favorable assembly for the ski binding mentioned at the outset, while at the same time the tension in the ski is to be reduced to a level which is practically negligible in use.
- the sole plate is supplied with the base plate as a unit, which also includes the toe piece and the heel holder, and this unit is delivered from the factory by the fitter even during transport in a preassembled state, the binding can be assembled after completion of the Drilling in the ski takes place without any further manipulation.
- each component can be dimensioned according to the respective needs. Furthermore, the designer has a greater choice in terms of material determination.
- the mounting plate and its associated components can be made in one piece, whereby fewer manufacturing steps are required.
- the features of claim 8 serve for a perfect function of the binding in ski deflections.
- the features of claim 9 also aim in a similar direction.
- FIG. 1 shows the ski binding according to the invention in longitudinal section
- FIG. 2 shows the rear area of FIG. 1 on an enlarged scale
- FIG. 3 shows a plan view of FIG. 2, partially cut along the line III-III of FIGS Figures 4, 5 and 6 show different embodiments of the rear region of the ski binding according to the invention in longitudinal section, only those parts being shown which differ from the first embodiment.
- FIG. 1 shows a complete safety ski binding to be described in more detail on a ski 1.
- the parts shown with dash-dotted lines are not the subject of the invention and have only been shown for clarity.
- a base plate 3 for a toe 25 and a mounting plate 5 for a base plate 20 pivotably mounted on a pivot 6 by means of its recess are fastened by means of screws 2.
- the sole plate 20 also carries a heel holder 30 and a ski brake 40, which are of a known type, do not form part of the subject of the invention and therefore have not been described in detail.
- the base plate 3 has guide rails 3a which extend in the longitudinal direction of the ski and project upwards on both sides.
- a guide plate 4 is mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable but not detachable, side parts 4a of the guide plate 4 embracing or engaging around the guide rails 3a of the base plate 3.
- a guide groove 4b which runs parallel to the top of the ski and transverse to the longitudinal axis of the ski, is excluded.
- the guide groove 4b has at its front end an upward extension 4b1.
- On the top of the guide plate 4, a downward and rearward sloping guide surface 4c is formed on the top of the guide plate 4.
- a control lug 4d rises in the region of the longitudinal axis of the guide surface 4c.
- the front region of the sole plate 20 is designed as a bearing block 20a for the front jaw 25, which is only indicated here.
- the front end region of the bearing block 20a is designed as an extension 20b and has the shape of an inverted, lying L in cross-section.
- the extension 20b of the bearing block 20a engages in the guide groove 4b of the guide plate 4, with an upwardly projecting part 20c of the extension 20b extends into the extension 4b1 of the guide groove 4b. There is a slight game S1 between the upstanding part 20c and the extension 4b1.
- the mounting plate 5 is equipped according to FIGS. 2 and 3 with bores 5a for the screws 2.
- the mounting plate 5 has a raised area 5b with a bearing point 5d, the raised area 5b possibly extending towards the end of the ski and thus forming a rib 5c.
- the pivot 6 is firmly anchored in the bearing 5d of the mounting plate 5 and carries the interposition of an elastic sleeve 7 Sole plate 20.
- the sleeve 7 is firmly inserted into the recess in the sole plate 20. It consists of a low-friction plastic material which allows the sole plate 20 to tilt relative to the pivot 6 without jamming.
- a polyacetal plastic such as Delrin is particularly suitable as the plastic.
- the rear end region 5e of the mounting plate 5 is designed as a receiving point 5f for the sole plate 20.
- he carries a guide plate 9 and a holding rail 11, optionally with the interposition of a sliding plate 8 made of material with a low coefficient of friction.
- Holding rail 11, guide plate 9 and sliding plate 8 are firmly connected to the rear region 5e of the mounting plate 5, for example by means of rivets 12.
- the rear region of the guide plate 9 is designed as a control curve 9a for the sole plate 20 and interacts with a locking member 30d connected to the heel holder 30.
- the locking member 30d comprises a control roller 30a which is supported by means of its holder 30b on a spring 30c of the heel holder 30 which presses it against the control curve 9a and serves to control the pivoting movement of the sole plate 20.
- a guide which in this exemplary embodiment shows an approximately U-shaped cross section - or holding element 20d is fixedly connected to the pivot plate 20 in a section 20e extending between the pivot 6 and the heel holder 30 on its underside. It is also possible to make the sole plate 20 hollow in a section 20g extending in the longitudinal direction of the ski, in which case the section of the guide element 20d fastened to the sole plate 20 projects into this cavity 20h of the sole plate 20 and is anchored there in any manner.
- a part 20f of the guide element 20d which is angled backwards engages in the receiving position 5f of the mounting plate 5.
- the receiving point 5f of the mounting plate 5 and the guide element 20d are, as can be seen from FIG. 3, designed as circular arc sections in order to pivot the sole plate 20 to ensure safe.
- a slight play S2 between the guide element 20d and the front end of the guide plate 9 and the holding rail 11 there is a slight play S2 in order to prevent jamming of these components in the event of a possible ski deflection.
- the embodiment according to FIG. 4 essentially corresponds to that described above, only here the holding rail is formed by the front area of the guide plate 9 '.

Description
The invention relates to a safety ski binding according to the preamble of
Such a ski binding is essentially described in AT-PS 330.632. In the known solution, the locking member is designed such that it causes the heel holder to be actuated both in the event of excessive lateral forces and in the event of excessive forces acting in the vertical plane. The consequence of this is that the toe piece can be designed as a simple holding bracket, as a result of which the holding device for the ski boot can be designed in a particularly simple manner in the front region of the sole plate. In contrast, the known device has the disadvantage that the determination of the differently large forces for the lateral and vertical release can be reconciled somewhat difficult because the dimensions of the holding element which fixes the control element on the ski are limited for reasons of the available space dimensions . For this reason, the technical solution, which has been known for many years and in itself progressive, could not be implemented in practice.
Such a ski binding is also known from DE-OS 28 04 986. In this ski binding, however, the front and rear areas of the sole plate are mounted on holding elements on one and the same base plate. This is disadvantageous insofar as undesirable tension in the ski can occur in the case of ski deflections caused by the terrain.
For the sake of completeness, reference is also made to DE-OS 33 42 155. In this known solution, a single spring is used for the lateral and vertical release, which means that compromises in construction and assembly have to be accepted. This configuration is further removed from the prior art that has already been taken into account.
The invention is intended to create a particularly favorable assembly for the ski binding mentioned at the outset, while at the same time the tension in the ski is to be reduced to a level which is practically negligible in use.
The object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of
Due to the fact that the sole plate is supplied with the base plate as a unit, which also includes the toe piece and the heel holder, and this unit is delivered from the factory by the fitter even during transport in a preassembled state, the binding can be assembled after completion of the Drilling in the ski takes place without any further manipulation.
If the mounting plate is formed in the area of its receiving point according to the features of

The front region of the
The
Delrin. The
The
The embodiment according to FIG. 4 essentially corresponds to that described above, only here the holding rail is formed by the front area of the guide plate 9 '. The guide plate 9 'is brought to the desired height by an
The mounting plate 5 'is formed at its rear end 5'e as a further raised area 5'h. In addition, the mounting plate 5 'has at least one recess 5'g for anchoring a sliding plate 8' made of low-friction material. For this purpose, an offset 8'b of the sliding plate 8 'extends into the recess 5'g. A forwardly extending extension 8'a of the sliding plate 8 'serves as a base for the
Die Steuerkurve 5''i für die Sohlenplatte 20 ist bei dieser Ausführungsform ebenfalls an der Montageplatte 5'' ausgebildet.6 shows a further embodiment of the ski binding according to the invention, in which the guide plate and the holding rail are formed in one piece with the mounting
The fact that the
The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiments shown. There are other variants that fall under the scope of protection. For example, the sole plate can be equipped with a known adjustment mechanism for a length adjustment. It would also be possible to form the guide plate in one piece with the base plate.
