Abstract

A frame for a door or window with at least one brace, manufactured from hollow, preferably heat-insulated composite sections. A filler is positioned at the butt joint between a frame section and a brace section. The filler matches the contours of a groove in the frame section. The filler extends into the brace section. The filler has an intermediate filler slot that extends parallel to the axis of the brace section. The filler also has a filler bore that extends parallel to the axis of the frame section and empties into the filler slot. Putty is forced into the filler bore and slot to seal off the butt joint from the front of the frame.

Description

The invention relates to a door or window frame made of thermally insulated composite profiles with at least one rung, in which the frame profile and the rung profile have two chambers, of which the first chamber located on the front side of the frame is partially delimited by insulating bars and for connecting the rung profile with the frame profile is provided on the frame profile and extends into the second chamber of the rung profile present on the rear of the frame.

It is known (DE-A 25 00 937) that only to push rung profiles onto connectors, but not to anchor them with them, so that movement can occur between the profiles to be connected.

The connectors used in metal construction are made of aluminum and are preferably extruded products. For the arrangement of ducts as a distribution system for sealing compounds to be injected according to the cited literature, additional work steps are required which make the connector considerably more expensive. Although it is possible to use cast connectors, these then require mechanical reworking due to the lack of accuracy. With regard to a firm profile connection made with an adhesive, it is very likely that the sealing compound cannot be subsequently pressed in, since the flow channels for the sealing compound are closed by the adhesive.

The invention has for its object to design a door or window frame of the type mentioned in such a way that in the region of the chamber lying on the front of the frame a sealant that requires little sealant is made in the joint area of the frame profile and the rung profile.

This object is achieved in that in the joint area of the frame profile and rung profile, a filler made of plastic, which is adapted to the groove profile of the frame profile and projects into the first chamber of the rung profile arranged on the front of the frame, is arranged which has a central filling slot and which runs in the axial direction of the rung profile a filling bore opening into the filling slot and extending in the axial direction of the frame profile is provided, wherein a sealing compound which seals the joint area toward the front of the frame is pressed into the filling bore and the filling slot.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the filler is positively inserted into a groove in the frame profile.

In the subject of the invention, the additional sealant is not used in the area of the T-connector. A filler is used to achieve a perfect seal between the rung profile and the frame profile in the area of the wet zone formed by a central seal provided between the rung profile and the casement and absorbing rainwater. This filler is inserted into the front chamber of the rung profile and equipped with channels for a good and targeted distribution of the sealant. The filler has no tasks with regard to the strength of the connection and is therefore not influenced by any other means such as glue and fasteners. The filler piece, which is made of plastic, does not have to meet high requirements, except that it has to be largely reproduced from the profile contour so that a tight seal is achieved with a relatively small amount of sealing compound. The filler is inexpensive to manufacture because it can be made from an inexpensive plastic of low quality, and all contours, channels and recesses can be manufactured in a simple manner.

Das Sprossenprofil 2 unterteilt den kompletten Rahmen in zwei Rahmenfelder 3 und 4.The window frame shown in Fig. 1 consists of the four outer frame profiles 1 and a rung profile 2. The rung profile 2 divides the complete frame into two frame fields 3 and 4.

The rung profile 2 is butt-connected to the frame profiles 1 in the joint area.

Der Stoßbereich ist in Fig. 2 detailliert dargestellt. The impact area is shown in detail in FIG. 2.

Both the frame profile 1 and the rung profile 2 are thermally insulated composite profiles.

The frame profile 1 has two chambers 5 and 6, the rung profile is also provided with two chambers 7 and 8.

The chambers 5 and 7 of the profiles 1 and 2 are in the region of the front of the complete frame and the chambers 6 and 8 are in the region of the rear of the frame.

On the frame profile 1, a known T-connector 9 is positively fixed within a longitudinal groove 10 and protrudes into the rear chamber 8 of the rung profile 2. The T- The connector is secured against longitudinal displacement in the groove 10 of the frame profile 1 by means of a screw 11.

The rung profile 2 is fixed on the T-connector 9 by means of a connecting screw, not shown, which passes through a screw groove 12 in the T-connector 9.

In the area of the front of the frame, a filler 13 is provided in the butt area, which corresponds to the groove pattern of the frame profile 1 in the area of its front and is inserted into these grooves.

On the other hand, the filler 13 protrudes into the front chamber 7 of the rung profile 2.

As shown particularly in Fig. 4 to 7 show very clearly the Fülls l Ueck 13 is provided with a filling bore 14 which extends in the axial direction of the frame profile 1, which is very clearly evident from FIG. 2. This filling hole 14 opens into a filling slot 15, which in turn extends in the axial direction of the rung profile 2.

Through the filling hole 14 and the filling slot 15, which is open to the front of the frame, a sealing compound is pressed in, which securely seals the entire joint area between frame profile 1 and rung profile 2, because the remaining free spaces are relatively small on the one hand and on the other hand through the filling hole and the filling slot can be filled with sealing compound. The required amount of sealing compound is comparatively small since the filler 13 itself fills the largest area of the free space in the joint area.
