Die Tastenkappe 1 besteht aus einem nach unten offenen halbschalenförmigen Kunststoffteil rechteckförmiger Gestalt, an dessen Längs- und Querseiten Federelemente 2 angebracht, vorzugsweise angespritzt sind. Diese Federelemente 2 sind an den Ecken der Tastenkappe 1 befestigt und verlaufen in einem spitzen Winkel gegen die horizontale Ebene nach unten, also zum Gehäuse 6 hin, in das sie eingesetzt werden. An der Oberseite ist die Tastenkappe 1 stufenförmig abgesetzt, wobei der mittlere, erhöhte Teil 3 der Tastenkappe 1 mit der Ziffer oder dem Symbol versehen ist, mit der die Tastenkappe 1 gekennzeichnet werden soll. Die Ziffer bzw. das Symbol besteht aus einer lichtdurchlässigen Schicht 11 aus verschiedenfarbigem, fluorreszierendem Kunststoff. Diese Schicht 11 ist fest mit einem Kunststoffteil 4 verbunden, der den Grundkörper der Taste bildet. Dieser Grundkörper besteht aus einem lichtdurchlässigen Kunststoff, der unterseitig in einen Zapfen 5 übergeht.
