Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for producing a heat exchanger, each having a channel for the fluids flowing through it, each channel being spiral-shaped, described by two wavy profiled, metal side wall sections and the flat metal band sections forming the channel ceiling and the channel bottom.
- the object of the invention is to show a method which fulfills the above-mentioned requirements.
- the invention as characterized in the claims, achieves the object of creating a method for producing a heat exchanger in which only metal strips are deformed and metallurgically connected to one another along their longitudinal edges.
- the advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that the manufacturing processes, namely the profiling, the bending and finally the metallurgical joining, allow a continuous manufacturing process which can be carried out completely automatically on a machine, so that the heat exchanger in can be produced in a short time and accordingly cheaply.
- the blanks required for this are simple sheet metal strips, the production costs of which are also small.
- Two metal strips 3, 4, which consist of any suitable, highly thermally conductive metal or metal alloy, for example copper, are deformed in a roller or rolling machine in such a way that they are profiled in a wave shape and at the same time are deformed into a spiral.
- the waves run in the longitudinal direction of the respective metal strip 3, 4.
- two metal flat strips 7, 8 are cold-deformed in such a way that they form a flat strip spiral, the windings of which describe a common plane.
- the profiled metal strips 3, 4 are brought together with the spiral flat strips 7, 8 and the strips and strips are connected to one another along their longitudinal edges 5, 6. This connection can be carried out by means of welding, brazing or soldering, depending on the respective metal be performed.
- FIG. 1 For example, a roller seam welding machine is used to establish the connection. Thereafter, the structure shown in FIG. 1 is present, namely a spiral-shaped first fluid channel 1, which has wavy profiled side walls 3, 4, a flat cover band 7 and a flat bottom band 8. 2 shows a simplified section through this first spiral fluid channel 1.
- the distance X between the turns is now selected depending on the width of a third 9 or fourth flat strip 10.
- These flat strips 9, 10 likewise run in a spiral, form a flat strip spiral and are produced in the same way as the first and second flat strips 7, 8.
- the third 9 and fourth flat strip 10 are now inserted into the spaces between the turns of the first fluid channel 1. such that the third ribbon 9 is aligned with the first ribbon 7 and the fourth ribbon 10 with the second ribbon 8 and, according to FIG.
- a flat metal strip is deformed in such a way that it has a flat longitudinal central section 11, to each of which a wave-shaped profiled longitudinal section 12, 13 adjoins.
- a flattened longitudinal edge section 14 or 15 adjoins each profiled longitudinal section 12, 13.
- the width of the flat The longitudinal center section 11 is selected such that it is equal to the width of the respective flat strips 17, 18 deformed to form the flat strip spiral.
- the width of the flat longitudinal edge sections 14, 15 is selected such that, when metallurgically connected to one another, they have the same width of the longitudinal central section 11.
- the metal strip present in this way is then bent at right angles at the transition regions 16 between the flat and undulating longitudinal sections, so that the hollow profile shown in FIG. 6 is formed.
- the longitudinal edges of the longitudinal edge sections 14, 15 lie directly opposite one another and can be connected to one another, so that a first spiral fluid channel 1 is again formed.
- a first spiral fluid channel 1 is again formed.
- FIG. 7 shows in particular that the cross-sectional area of the first fluid channel is different from that of FIG. 2. These cross-sectional areas are obviously chosen depending on the fluids that are to flow through the respective channels.
- FIGS. 8-10 Another exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention is described with reference to FIGS. 8-10.
- two metal strips are profiled in such a way that they have a wave-shaped longitudinal central section 19, to each of which a flat longitudinal edge section 20, 21 adjoins.
- Both metal profiled in this way strips are then bent at right angles at the transition regions 16 between the longitudinal center section 19 and the longitudinal edge sections 20, 21 and into the shape shown in FIG. 9, so that again to form a first fluid channel 1 and then connected to one another.
- This deformation takes place again at the same time as the deformation into a spiral.
- each fluid channel 1 is surrounded by fluid channels 2 or each fluid channel 2 is surrounded by fluid channels 1 give, so that on the one hand the heat exchange surface of the heat exchanger is relatively large and on the other hand the surfaces generating heat loss are relatively small.
- the fluid channels 1 and fluid channels 2 of each laminated body of this multilayer heat exchanger are then connected to one another by a distributor, so that an extremely compact heat exchanger is present.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method for producing a heat exchanger, each having a channel for the fluids flowing through it, each channel being spiral-shaped, described by two wavy profiled, metal side wall sections and the flat metal band sections forming the channel ceiling and the channel bottom.
In such heat exchangers, there is a need for a production which is as cheap as possible, the core production process being intended to be continuous, that is to say having a minimum of separate production steps.
The object of the invention is to show a method which fulfills the above-mentioned requirements. The invention, as characterized in the claims, achieves the object of creating a method for producing a heat exchanger in which only metal strips are deformed and metallurgically connected to one another along their longitudinal edges.
The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that the manufacturing processes, namely the profiling, the bending and finally the metallurgical joining, allow a continuous manufacturing process which can be carried out completely automatically on a machine, so that the heat exchanger in can be produced in a short time and accordingly cheaply. In addition, the blanks required for this are simple sheet metal strips, the production costs of which are also small.

Reference is now made to FIG. 1. Two
15 an. A further embodiment of the method according to the invention will now be described with reference to FIGS. 5-7. As shown in FIG. 5, a flat metal strip is deformed in such a way that it has a flat longitudinal
Another exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention is described with reference to FIGS. 8-10. In this case, two metal strips are profiled in such a way that they have a wave-shaped longitudinal
If one now considers the design of the heat exchanger according to FIGS. 3.7 and 10, it can be seen that the profiled side walls e.g. 3,4, an excellent heat exchange takes place, however, the fluid channel ceilings or fluid channel floors cause heat loss (apart from any insulation).
In order to remedy this disadvantage and to increase the heat exchange surface of a given heat exchanger as such, several structures according to FIGS. 3, 7 and 10 are now stacked on top of one another, so that a multilayer, spiral-shaped heat exchanger is present, as is shown in simplified form in FIG. 11. Apart from the
