Vorrichtung zur Umsetzung von Steuerknüppel-Stellungen in Mehrfrequenz-CodesDevice for converting joystick positions into multi-frequency codes
In der modernen Telefontechnik im allgemeinen, sowie bei der Deutschen Bundespost Telekom im speziellen, wird vermehrt ein MFV-Wahlverfahren (Mehrfrequenzvermittlung-Wahlverfahren) bei der elektronischen Vermittlung von Telefongesprächen eingesetzt. In modern telephone technology in general, and at Deutsche Bundespost Telekom in particular, a DTMF dialing system (multi-frequency switching dialing system) is increasingly used for the electronic switching of telephone calls.
Die zur Steuerung von Wählfunktionen über eine Telefonleitung bereits eingesetzten Mehrfrequenzsender besitzen grundsätzlich die von der Deutschen Bundespost Telekom genormten Tastaturen (10er Tastaturen - siehe Fig. 2) mit meist zwei zusätzlichen Tasten für Sonderzwecke, bezeichnet mit '*' und '#'. Jeder Taste auf dem Zifferntastenblock des Senders (z.B. des Telefons) werden bei diesem Verfahren zwei bestimmte, im hörbaren Bereich angeordnete, genormte Frequenzen zugeordnet (siehe Tabelle in Fig. 3).The multi-frequency transmitters already used to control dialing functions over a telephone line generally have the keyboards standardized by Deutsche Bundespost Telekom (10-key keyboards - see Fig. 2) with usually two additional keys for special purposes, designated '*' and '#'. Das gleiche Verfahren kann allerdings auch zur Übertragung beliebiger anderer Steuerinformation in interaktiven Systemen benutzt werden, was auch vermehrt geschieht. Dabei kommen Systeme zum Einsatz, die nach einer Entschlüsselung und Umsetzung der Tonfrequenzen entstehende digitale Signale z.B. für eine Simulation von Schaltvorgängen einer Steuerungseinrichtung einsetzen. Eine Dekodiereinheit, die benutzt werden kann, um Informationen zu empfangen, nachdem eine Verbindung zwischen Anrufer und Angerufenem besteht, wird beispielsweise in Patent DE 42 28 071 dargelegt.However, the same method can also be used to transmit any other control information in interactive systems, which is also happening more and more. Besonders im Bereich des interaktiven Fernsehens bieten sich interessante Möglichkeiten der direkten Kopplung von Steuerkommandos, die ein Mitspieler über das Telefon ausführt, mit dem Fernsehgeschehen. Das in Deutschland immer noch weit verbreitete Pulswahl verfahren ist für eine solche direkte Steuerung nicht gut geeignet, da hierbei unterschiedlich lange Verzögerungszeiten bei der Umsetzung auftreten. Zwar sind nach dem Stand der Technik beispielsweise für Telefonanrufbeantworter tragbare Frequenzgeneratoren zur Fernabfrage verfügbar, doch sind die eingesetzten 10er Tastaturen für bestimmte Anwendungen, wie Telespiele, äußerst inadequat.Particularly in the area of interactive television, there are interesting possibilities for directly linking control commands that a player carries out over the telephone with what is happening on television. Die Erfindung zielt darauf ab, die Ergonomie bei der Benutzung interaktiver Systeme zu verbessern. Da sich ein Steuerknüppel (Computer-Joystick - siehe Fig. 5) als gut geeignetes Eingabegerät zur Steuerung ähnlicher Programme auf Computern (vor allem Personalcomputern) und extra dafür ausgelegten Spielkonsolen auf Grund einer der Intuition entsprechenden Funktionalität erwiesen hat, ist es erstrebenswert diesem Eingabegerät den Weg ins interaktive Fernsehen zu ermöglichen. Normalerweise werden die Ziffern des Tastenfeldes vom Empfänger gemäß der Tabelle in Fig. 4 als richtungsändernde Kommandos interpretiert. Eine beliebiege andere Interpretation der Tasten ist jedoch nicht ausgeschlossen. Die Erfindung besteht unter anderem aus einem Umsetzer von Steuerknüppel-Stellungen in Mehrfrequenzcodes. Zunächst sei das Grundprinzip der Erfindung anhand Fig. 1 erläutert: Ein Joystick (D ist an eine erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung © angeschlossen. Diese speist über einen Akustikkoppler ®, der am Hörer Φ eines Telefonapparates ® angekoppelt ist, Multifrequenztöne in die Telefonleitung ein. Die Vorrichtung kann mit einer 10er Tastatur versehen werden, um bestimmte Sequenzen (z.B. einer Benutzerkennung) direkt eingeben zu können.The invention aims to improve the ergonomics of using interactive systems.
