Description
Knochentrichter mit Stössel zur gezielten Sponoiosaplastik M.Richtei—Turtur Bone funnel with pestle for targeted sponoiosaplasty M.Richtei—Turtur
Als sogenannte transpedikuläre Spongiosaplastik hat dieses Verfahren in der Behandlung van Wirbelsäulenverletzun^sn inissischan breiteIn previous procedures for transferring bone transplants, the bone graft was inserted openly into the defect or, for example, in the case of vertebral body injuries, it was filled in via a straight funnel. As so-called transpedicular cancellous bone grafting, this procedure has gained widespread acceptance in the treatment of spinal injuries.
A certain disadvantage of this method is that only the vertebral body itself can be filled with bone meal, but not the adjacent disc space, be it cranial or sidial, since the rigid, straight funnel does not have sufficient reach.
The aim of this instrument is to enable the targeted placement of pongiosa (>■ ,-iOchenmE-h '·) in hollow spaces. In particular, this simple instrument can also be used to specifically fill the intervertebral space with spondylosis. In addition, the funnel presented can also be used as an instrument to remove disc material from the intervertebral space.
These tasks are solved by a simple instrumentation as characterized in claim 1 and shown in Fig. 1.
It is a working tube (1) approximately 8 mm thick, which has a curvature with a radius of about 2.5 cm (Fig. 1). The wall thickness of the tube is 1 mm, so that the inner lumen has a width of 6 mm. These dimensions can also vary according to the different application requirements (Fig. 2). The tube can be either thicker or thinner and the radius of curvature can be more or less pronounced. In any case, one end of the tube is widened in a funnel shape to a diameter of about 2.5 cm (2). The other end is cut off at a right angle to a length of about 7-10 cm .
These curved funnels include pestles with handles whose outer diameter matches the inner diameter of the curved working funnel and has the same curvature as the corresponding funnel (3). They can therefore be pushed through the curved funnel. For better practical handling, these pestles can be provided with a counter-bend in front of the curved end that matches the rounded shape of the funnel (Fig. 1 and 2).
In addition to the plugs shown in Fig. 1 and 2, the instrumentation is supplemented by other tools with the same bend (not shown). For example, a congruent construction tool, which is used for the targeted suction of bone and disc fragments and blood, and a congruently curved tissue forceps (rongeur), which can also be used to remove material from the vertebral body or the disc space. This rongeur must be combined with a suction device.
