Description

Process for the digestion of phosphates The subject of patent 677 966 is a process for the digestion of phosphates with nitric acid with the separation of calcium nitrate from the reaction liquid. According to this process, the addition of the phosphates is carried out at low temperatures, preferably not above z5 °, and with an acid of medium concentration; preferably from about 55 to 65 percent by weight; here the calcium nitrate separates out during or immediately after the conversion. In this way, a well-crystallized calcium nitrate is obtained, which of the viscous mother liquor, proportionally can be separated easily. It became this in further training Process of the main patent. found, that is to even better crystallized products and especially to less viscous ones Mother Langen arrives when the, Salpieter- acid, phosphate or digestion solution one for the formation of what is known per se Calcium nitrate, ammonium nitrate or calcium Nitrate and potassium nitrate double salts are sufficient Amount of ammonium nitrate and / or I, '- aluminum nitrate clogs. Leave the double salts selected for this working method. separate very smoothly from the mother liquor, and the amount of mother liquor still adhering to the separated crystals is significantly less than in the case of work without the addition of the salts mentioned:.: The crystals separated from the mother liquor therefore need to be washed less often and thoroughly. in order to obtain them practically free of mother liquor: The addition of ammonium nitrate or potassium nitrate also offers the possibility of influencing the composition of the mother liquor so that, after neutralization, for example with ammonia, a usable mixed fertilizer is obtained immediately by drying the neutralized product.

The addition of ammonium nitrate to one made from phosphate and nitric acid digestion solution obtained is known per se. In the present procedure this per se known measure with the digestion process according to the main patent united and thereby the processing of the digestion material is made much easier. Implementation heis, piel iooo parts moroccan phosphate are at: a temperature of 21 'entered in 2,000 parts of 65% strength nitric acid, in the _.z 5.0 parts of ammonium nitrate are resolved. The deposition begins while the rock phosphate is being introduced of the calcium nitrate ammonium nitrate double salt, which ends a short time after the entry is. This results in 100 parts of well-crystallized, easily filterable double salt with a content of i, 3 ammonia nitrogen. obtain.
