Sie sind im Gegensatz zu allen anderen Bauarten derart angeordnet, daß die Rohrenden am Kesselmantel in einer Schraubenlinie oder einer ähnlichen Kurve aufeinanderfolgen. Die Neigungen der Schraubenlirnien beider Rohrendengruppen je eines Rohrbündels sind einander entgegengesetzt. Dadurch strömt an dem einen Rohrende das stark erhitzte Wasser nach oben ab, während es in das andere auf derselben Seite der Rohrgruppe liegende Rohrende hineinströmt.
