Versetzt man, wie ebenfalls bekannt. eine im wesentlichen neutrale Fluoraluminiumlösung nur mit Alkalihydroxyd oder Alkalicarbonat, so bildet sich bei Verwendung dein Fällungsmittels in entsprechender Menge neben der Doppelverbindung Tonerde, z. B. nach folgender Gleichung 2 A12F,; -f-- 6 NaOH A12F,; 6 NaF + A1203 + 3 H20.
