Abstract

Metal foil and thermoplastic scrap are comminuted to give chips. The chips are introduced into an extruder for the melting of thermoplastics and are prepared for extrusion therein. The mixture of the molten plastic and the metal foil chips is continuously moulded to give the moulding with the aid of an extrusion die connected to the extruder.

Description

The invention relates to a method of manufacture of moldings made of metal and a thermoplastic art material.

Many everyday items are made of metal, others are made of thermoplastic. Further Articles are made of thermoplastic plastic, which too at least on one side and in some areas with a metal foil is coated or combined. This applies in particular. for articles in the packaging industry, e.g. B. from one Plastic container part and a cover made of metal foil consist. In the manufacture of these articles and after Use waste that has so far, especially in relation to the plastic component, the environment and landfills. It is well known in the manufacture of plastic films trimmings generated in a plastic screw press, a so-called extruder, to make art out of it again to produce fabric films. However, such a return is So far it has not been carried out where there are combinations is about thermoplastic and metal foil. There is also no simple procedure that allows made of metal and thermoplastic, preferably from corresponding waste, objects of their own kind make high demands in terms of strength, Stability and corrosion behavior are sufficient.

The invention has for its object from metal and ther to produce plastic materials of their own kind, the z. B. in the construction industry, in the packaging industry, but can be used for other purposes.

The object of the invention is to achieve this object Process for the production of moldings from metal and egg nem thermoplastic, which is characterized by net is that waste of metal foil and thermoplastic chemical plastic shredded into chips that the Schnitzel in a screw extruder for melting of thermoplastic introduced and extru therein be prepared and that the mixture of the melted plastic and the chips from metal fo lie connected to the screw extruder with the help of a his extrusion tool continuously to the shaped body is formed, which can then be cut into sections.

There is a vote in this teaching on technical action rule, namely the mixing ratio Set up metal foil / plastic so that an extruded capable preparation in an extruder is possible. The amount thermoplastic must not be too low, on the other hand, it can be practically arbitrarily high. The Schnitzel should have an edge length of a few mm, e.g. B. from 2 mm.

A preferred embodiment of the invention is thereby characterized that waste, in particular trimming waste, from to Coat metal foil on at least one side and in some areas teten packaging containers and / or packaging materials be used as starting material. To that extent uses the Invention the fact that the waste of this type Ratios are such that an extrudable processing in an extruder is possible. That is about surprising. In addition, the metal foil components and the plastic components are already intimately united  are nigt. All of this applies in particular when it comes to waste is worked, which is 80 to 90 wt.% Plastic, too 10 to 20% by weight consist of metal foil chips. Too in literally, particularly good moldings are obtained, if the plastic is made of polyvinyl chloride and the Me tall foil made of an aluminum alloy. As part of the Erfin It is appropriate to add a scrap of metal foil to the chips to mix. It is also within the scope of the invention the chips also fine-particle thermoplastic art Add substances such as shredded plastic wrap. It goes without saying that the fillets are also other fillers can mix. - Within the scope of the invention can with all usual screw extruders to be worked. Preferential wise one works with twin screw extruders.

If one works according to the teaching of the invention, one comes to Shaped bodies that are particularly mechanical to draw. The metal component forms in the moldings a reinforcement and a skeleton in a plastic matrix, which gives the moldings particular flexural strength and compressive strength ability, but also special fatigue strength. The Plastic component also makes the molded parts weather-resistant and in most environments also outside neatly corrosion-resistant. The moldings produced can Therefore, for many uses in the construction industry and in the packaging industry, e.g. B. in the form of wall plate or cover plates for wall plates, floor plates and Ceiling plates or cover plates for floor and ceiling plate profiles, also for the production of transport pallets, be used. Esp. can be any profiles Form extrusion, e.g. B. also edge protection profiles, such as they are used in the packaging industry.
