Abstract

The boiler (1) flue gases are passed through a cooler forming part of a cooling circuit, incorporating the heat pump (52,4,6) with compressor, condenser heat exchanger. Heat removed from the gases is delivered to the evaporator side of the heat pump. The cooler (87) of the evaporator (7) is separate from that (8) for the flue gases (R). The two coolers are connected by a second coolant circuit, while the first coolant circuit passes through the heat pump.
