Description

  • Nachrichtenkabel mit einer Vorrichtung zur Bestimmung des Feuchtezustandes Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Nachrichtenkabel mit mehreren isolierten Aderpaaren und mit einer Vorrichtung zur Bestimmung des Feuchtezustandes des Kabels in Form eines Meldepaares.
  • Vielpaarige, nicht längswasserdichte Nachrichtenkabel, deren Seele aus kunstatsffisolierten Adern besteht, enthalten einen Leerraum von etwa 45 96 des Seelenquerschnittes. Bei einer Beschädigung des Kabelmantels oder bei einem versehentlich offenen Kabelende kann sich daher relativ viel Wasser zwischen den einzelnen Adern innerhalb des Kabels ansammeln. Dadurch werden aber die Der tragungseigenschaften des Kabels erheblich beeinträchtigt. In dem vom Wasser betroffenen Kabelabschnitt kann die Betriebakapazität bis auf den dreifachen Wert ansteigen. Der Isolationswiderstand kann sich vermindern, und unter ungünstigen Umständen kann es während des späteren Betriebes aufgrund elektrolytischer Korrosion zur Unterbrechung von Sprechkreisen kommen.
  • Es ist daher wichtig, eine Ansammlung von Wasser in einem Nachrichtenkabel rechtzeitig erkennen bzw. die Wasserfreiheit eines Kabels vor seiner Verlegung überprüfen zu können. Bisher wurde z. B. in einem Nachrichtenkabel ein Meldepaar mit eingeseilt, dessen Isolationswiderstand überwacht wurde. Als Meldepaar sind beispielsweise zwei besonders ausgebildete Adern verwendet worden, deren Isolation so beschaffen ist, daß der Isolationswiderstand beim Eindringen von Feuchte sich verändert. Insbesondere verwendet man zu diesem Zweck Meldeleiter mit einer perforierten Isolierung (DE-AS 10 59 062 und DE-OS 28 06 718). Außerdem ist es auch bekannt, innerhalb der Kabelseele ein Material anzuordnen, das bei Berührung mit Wasser einen Farbumschlag erleidet (DE-OS 23 20 478). Die Verwendung eines Farbindikators hat den Nachteil, daß eine nachträgliche Überprüfung des Kabels auf Wasseransammlung nur bei einer Zerstörung des Kabelmantels möglich ist.
  • Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine leicht überprüfbare und mit geringem Aufwand herstellbare Vorrichtung zur Kontrolle des Feuchtezustandes in einem Nachrichtenkabel zu schaffen. Diese Aufgabe wird gemäß der Erfindung dadurch gelöst, daß ein Meldepaar verwendet wird, das aus einem blanken und einem isolierten Leiter besteht, dessen Isolierung leicht wasserlöslich ist. Verwendet man ein solches Meldepaar und dringt Wasser in ein damit ausgerüstetes Nachrichtenkabel, wird sich in relativ kurzer Zeit die Isolierung der einen Meldeader auflösen, und es kommt zu einem Kontakt mit dem blanken Leiter des Meldepaares, der Jederzeit überprüfbar ist.
  • Als leicht wasserlösliches Isoliermaterial bevorzugt man Polyvinylalkohol oder Polyäthylenoxyd.
  • Um einen guten Kontakt bei Auflösung der Isolierung des einen Leiters des Meldepaares mit dem blanken Leiter sicherzustellen, empfiehlt es sich, beide Leiter miteinander zu verseilen. Der Kontakt kann auch dadurch verbessert werden, daß beide Leiter des Meldepaares gemeinsam mit einer Wendel umsponnen werden. Die Kontaktwirkung kann weiterhin erhöht werden dadurch, daß die Wendel aus einem gummielastischen Material besteht oder aus einem Material, das bei Wasserzutritt schrumpft.
  • Die Erfindung wird anhand des in der Zeichnung dargestellten und nachfolgend beschriebenen Ausführungsbeispieles im einzelnen erläutert.
  • In der einzigen Figur ist ein senkrechter Schnitt durch ein Meldepaar gemäß der Erfindung dargestellt. Das Meldepaar besteht aus einem blanken Leiter 10 und einem isolierten Leiter 11. Die Isolierung 12 des isolierten Leiters 11 ist leicht wasserlöslich ausgebildet. Sie besteht beispielsweise aus Polyvinylalkohol, das durch Extrusion auf den blanken Leiter aufgebracht worden ist.
  • Beide Leiter sind mit einer Wendel aus einem elastischen oder bei Wasserzutritt schrumpfenden Material 13 umsponnen.

Claims (6)

  1. Patentansprüche X \ Nachrichtenkabel mit mehreren isolierten Aderpaaren und mit einer Vorrichtung zur Bestimmung des Feuchtezustandes des Kabels in Form eines Meldepaares, d a d u r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , daß das Meldepaar aus einem blanken (10) und einem isolierten Leiter (11) besteht, dessen Isolierung (12) leicht wasserlöslich ist.
  2. 2. Nachrichtenkabel nach Anspruch 1, d a d u r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , daß das Isoliermaterial der Ader (11) des Meldepaares Polyvinylalkohol oder PolyEthylenoxyd ist
  3. 3. Nachrichtenkabel nach Anspruch 1 oder 22 d a d u r C h g e k e n n z e 9 c h n e t , daß der blanke (10) und der isolierte Leiter (11) miteinander verseilt sind.
  4. 4. Nachrichtenkabel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, d a du r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , daß der blanke (10) und der isolierte Leiter (11) gemeinsam mit einer Wendel (13) umsponnen sind
  5. 5. Nachrichtenkabel nach Anspruch 4, d a d u r c h g e k e n n z e i c h ne t , daß die Wendel (13) aus einem gummielastischen Material besteht.
  6. 6. Nachrichtenkabel nach Anspruch 4, d a d u r c h g e k e n n z e i c h n e t , daß die Wendel (13) aus einem Material besteht, das bei Wasserzutritt schrumpfte
