Description

  • Gelenkprothesenteil
  • Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Gelenkteil für eine Gelenkendoprothese mit einem dornartigen Schaft, der an seinem oberen Ende eine Gelenkkugel trägt, wobei der Schaft am oberen Ende mit einem Zapfen versehen ist, auf dem die Kugel mit einem Hals spielarm sitzt.
  • Solche Gelenkteile sind an sich bekannt. Sie haben gegenüber einstückigen Lösungen den Vorteil eines geringen Reoperationsaufwandes durch die Austauschbarkeit des Gelenkkopfes unter Belassung des in den Knochen eingesetzten Schaftes. Der Nachteil dieser Lösung besteht darin, daß die Verbindung zwischen Kugelkopf und Schaft eine zusätzliche Gefahrenquelle darstellt, indem sich die Verbindung lockert, dann rasch unbrauchbar wird und ausgetauscht werden muß. Der Vorteil der Vereinfachung der Reoperation wird also unter Umständen mit dem Nachteil häufigerer Reoperationsnotwendigkeit erkauft.
  • Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist die Vermeidung dieses Nachteiles durch Ausgestaltung der Verbindung zwischen Gelenkkugel und Schaft in der Weise, daß diese Verbindung besonders einfach herzustellen ist und sehr dauerhaft wird.
  • Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe haben der Zapfen am oberen Schaftende und die entsprechende Kugelbohrung einen von der Kreisform abweichenden, beispielsweise rechteckigen Querschnitt.
  • Mit der Lösung gemäß der Erfindung wird in der Verbindung zwischen Kugel und Schaft eine hohe Paßgenauigkeit erzielt, was eine gesicherte Kopf- und Kugelhalslage ergibt, wodurch die Kopfabstützung auf dem Schaft und/oder dem Knochen optimal gestaltet werden kann und die Einlauflage dem anderen Gelenkteil gegenüber fixiert ist.
  • Die Erfindung ist nachfolgend anhand der Zeichnung erläutert.
  • In der Zeichnung zeigen Fig. A eine Gesamtanordnung zum besseren allgemeinen Verständnis der Erfindung, Fig. 1 die erfindungsgemäß ausgestaltete Einzelheit der Anordnung zu Fig. A und Fig. 2 einen Schnitt nach der Linie II - II in Fig. 1.
  • Gemäß Fig. A umschließt bei einer bekannten und üblichen Lösung eine Pfannenfassung 1 die Kugelpfanne 2. Mit einem Ring 3 ist die Pfanne 2 in der Fassung 1 gehalten. Die Teile 1 - 3 bilden das eine Gelenkteil der Gelenkprothese.
  • Das andere Teil dieser Prothese weist eine Kugel 4 auf, die mit der Pfanne 2 zusammenwirkt. Diese Kugel sitzt beispielsweise auf einem Zapfen 5, der mit dem Schaft 6 fest verbunden ist. Zwischen Zapfen 5 und Schaft 6 befindet sich eine sowohl mit dem Zapfen als auch dem Schaft einstückige Scheibe 7, auf der sich die Kugel 4 mit dem unteren Ende eines Kugelhalses 8 abstützt. Mit dem Schaft 6 stützt sich die Gelenkkugel 4 in einer zur Aufnahme des Schaftes vorbereiteten Höhlung 9 des Knochens 10 ab. Mit 11 ist der Trochanter bezeichnet, an dem die zum Gelenk gehörenden Muskeln des Bewegungsapparates angewachsen sind.
  • Erfindungsgemäß ist nun sowohl der Zapfen 5 als auch die Bohrung 12 des Kugelkopfes 4 im Querschnitt rechteckig (wobei auch andere, nicht kreisrunde, beispielsweise ovale Querschnitte in Frage kommen können) und es sitzt der Kugelkopf mit geringstmöglichem Spiel auf dem Zapfen 5. Der Querschnitt ist auch über die ganze Länge des Zusammenwirkens konstant, die Bohrung ist lediglich am inneren Ende abgerundet.
  • Die Lage des Querschnittes im Raum ist so gewählt, daß sowohl der Schaft 6 als auch die Kugel eine funktionsgerechte Lage einnehmen, wenn das Gelenkteil an Ort und Stelle eingesetzt ist. In dieser Lage sind Schaft und Gelenkkugel auf Dauer insbesondere unverdrehbar gegeneinander gesichert.

Claims (2)

  1. Patentansprüche Gelenkteil für eine Gelenkendoprothese mit einem dornartigen Schaft, der an seinem oberen Ende eine Gelenkkugel trägt, wobei der Schaft am oberen Ende mit einem Zapfen versehen ist, auf dem die Kugel mit einem Hals spielarm sitzt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Zapfen (5) und die zum Zapfen passende Hülsenbohrung (12) einen von der Kreisform abweichenden, beispielsweise rechteckigen Querschnitt haben
  2. 2. Gelenkteil nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Querschnitt des Zapfens (5) und der Bohrung (12) über den ganzen Bereich des Zusammenwirkens von Zapfen und Bohrung konstant ist.
