Die entscheidende Neuerung liegt in der Verbindungseinrichtung von Matratzenteil und Matratzen-Zusatzteil, mit deren Hilfe diese beiden Teile miteinander dauerhaft, aber lösbar verbunden sind. Sie sind also normalerweise als Einheit, als eine Matratze zu handhaben, können aber zu bestimmten Sonderzwecken wieder voneinander gelöst und jeweils für sich gehandhabt werden. Ein Sonderzweck ist zunächst der Transport der Matratzenanordnung. Hier kann das Matratzenteil bzw. das Matratzen-Zusatzteil jeweils für sich transportiert werden.
