Description:

The present development is intended to store dentures and denture models in dental practices and dental laboratories and to enable easy access to dentures and denture models.

I. Known status

Until now, dentures and denture models have been stacked "loosely" in cabinets in dental practices and dental laboratories.

II. Underlying task

The described method of storing dentures and denture models in dental practices and dental laboratories is not practical, as it makes stacking the dentures needed for processing or transport difficult. For transport between the dental practice and the dental laboratory or vice versa, dentures and denture models must be packaged separately. The aim was to simplify both storage and transport.

III. Technical solution to this task

The following "box" is now available for storing and transporting dentures and denture models:

The box is made of plastic. The material is 3 mm thick. The box is 31.3 cm deep and 9.3 cm wide. This means that up to 6 dentures or denture models can be stored and transported in it. The box is 8 cm high at both ends.

A handle is attached to the front. This handle is open at the bottom. A hook is attached to the back of the box. This hook is also made of plastic. The material is 3 mm thick. This hook is 8.8 cm wide and 9 cm high.

This prevents the box from slipping out of the hook. It is held in place by the lower device. The box can only be removed from the hook by lifting the front part of the box.

However, another hook made of the same material can be attached to the hook. This additional hook is 8.8 cm wide and 6 cm high. It is rounded at the top and then runs 2.8 cm parallel to the back of the box. It is attached to the box 1 cm below the top of the first hook.

A bar can be pushed into this additional hook, using which the box can be attached to a wall - e.g. a mobile cupboard. This bar is also made of plastic. It can be any length and can therefore accommodate any number of boxes. The bar is 6 cm high. The upper part is 2 mm thick, the lower part is 6 mm thick. The upper part is pushed into the hook.

In the lower part there are holes - at any distance and in any number - through which the bar can be attached to a wall or in a cupboard using screws.

With both types of fastening, the box can be removed from the holder by slightly lifting the front part and can be locked back into the holder just as easily.

Each box can hold several sets of dentures or denture models from one patient. This ensures that the dentures and models stored in the box can be accessed at any time. Dentures and denture models, sorted by patient, can be transported in the boxes between the dentist's office and the dental laboratory without having to be moved. This is particularly the case if the same system is used in both the dentist's office and the respective dental laboratory.
