Die Vorrichtung besteht aus einer Hülse a, durch welche die Schnur h in der Pfeilrichtung A, Fig. i, gezogen wird. Die Hülse kann mit irgend einer Vorrichtung, z. B. einem Haken, zur Verbindung mit anderen Körpern bezw. zur Anschliefsung an andere Theile versehen sein. In diese Hülse ist etwa bis auf ^!/₃ der Länge, in der Längsachse der Hülse gerechnet, ein seitlicher Schlitz I und II, Fig. 4, geschnitten, welcher etwas enger ist, als die Dicke der darin festzuklemmenden Schnur beträgt. Durch das Einlegen und Einziehen des freien Schnurendes in den seitlichen Schlitz, Fig. 2, ist der verfolgte Zweck schon vollständig erreicht, dafs nämlich die Hülse an dieser Stelle der Schnur vollkommen festgehalten werde. Um indefs zu verhüten, dafs durch irgend welche Unvorsichtigkeit, z. B. beim Abhaken der Schnur sammt der Hülse von einer Kolben- oder Schieberstange, das in den Schlitz geklemmte Schnurende aus diesem wieder herausgezogen werde, was schon durch eine äufserst kleine Kraft am freien Schnurende in der Pfeilrichtung A, Fig. 1, geschehen würde, ist noch eine besondere Sicherung des freien Schnurendes dadurch hergestellt, dafs dasselbe durch einen in den Figuren über Kreuz am anderen Ende der Hülse angebrachten zweiten Schlitz III und IV, Fig. 5, in der Richtung von B nach C, Fig. 3, gezogen und dadurch festgeklemmt wird. Durch dieses Zurückbiegen und Einklemmen des Schnurendes ist jedes unerwünschte Loslösen in den zu beanspruchenden Richtungen unmöglich gemacht. In welcher Lage dieser zweite Schlitz im Vergleich zu dem am anderen Ende angebrachten Schlitz sich befindet, ob er in gleicher Ebene oder um go° gedreht steht, ist gleichgültig. Zweckmäfsig ist es jedoch, wegen der gröfseren Festigkeit und Haltbarkeit der Hülse beide Schlitze über Kreuz anzuordnen.The device consists of a sleeve a through which the cord h is pulled in the direction of arrow A, Fig. I. By bending back and pinching the end of the cord, any undesired loosening in the directions to be stressed is made impossible. It does not matter in which position this second slot is in comparison to the slot made at the other end, whether it is in the same plane or rotated by go °. However, it is advisable to arrange both slots crosswise because of the greater strength and durability of the sleeve.
