, Diese Maschine gleicht im Princip der unter No. 9676 patentirten Chenilleschneidmaschine, weicht jedoch von dieser in der Construction der Messerwalzen ab. Die Messer sind wie bei V jener kreisförmig, doch an den Schneiden dem ) Zweck entsprechend ausgebaucht, wie Fig. 5 in '..Ansicht und den durch α b und c d gelegten ./Schnitten zeigt. Bei der in der Zeichnung gewählten Anordnung der Messer, Fig. 4, liefert ■ die Maschine Streifen von der Form der Fig. 6, giebt dagegen Streifen von der Form der Fig. 7, wenn alle Messer so eingestellt sind, dafs ihre Wellen parallel kufen. Zum guten Arbeiten der Maschine ist vor allem eine saubere Ausführung der Messer erforderlich, und mufs das Einstellen der Messer mit gröfster Genauigkeit geschehen. Es ist, dies zu ermöglichen, die obere Walze in Spitzen gelagert, die durch die Stellvorrichtung op axial bewegt werden können; die Klemmschraube q- verhindert ein Drehen der Spindel o. Aufserdem sind die Traversen r T1 um den Verbindungsbolzen s drehbar, während ^1 in einer Gabel des Bockes χ gestellt werden kann und ein genaues Einstellen der Messer in verticaler Richtung gestattet.
