Verfahren zum Schleifen der Stirnflächen von Wellendichtringlippen aus elastischem Werkstoff Die Erfindung behandelt ein Verfahren zum Schleifen der Stimflächen von Wellendichtringlippen aus elastischem Werkstoff. Nach den bekanntgewordenen Verfahren schleift man diese Fläche mit hochtourig drehenden Schleifkörpern, wobei man vorzugsweise zylindrische Schleifkörper (Schleifstifte) verwendet. Die Schleifkörper haben einen relativ kleinen Durchmesser und bearbeiten mit ihrem Außenumfang die Stirnfläche, so daß entweder der Wellendichtring oder aber das Schleifgerät zusätzlich gedreht werden muß, um die gesamte Stimfläche bearbeiten zu könne. Diesem Verfahren haftet der Mangel an, daß der Schleifkörper bei der Anstellbewegung den entsprechenden Teil der Wellendichtringlippe aus der Kreisforin drückt, so daß sich eine ungleichmäßige Bearbeitung der Stirnfläche nicht immer vermeiden läßt. Um zu vermeiden, daß sich der Wellendichtring auf seiner Arbeitstischplatte dreht, wird ferner eine Vorrichtung zur Ausführung des erfindungsgemäßen Schleifverfahrens mit einem Schleifkörper als Werkzeug, einer Werktischplatte als Auflage und einer Unterlage als Zwischenlage zwischen Werktischplatte und Wellendichtring vorgeschlagen, bei der die Werktischplatte Saugluft kanäle aufweist. Die durch die Kanäle strömende Saugluft hält das Werkstück fest, und gleichzeitig läßt sich mit der Saugluft der Werkstoffabrieb entfernen, das Werkstück sowie das Werkzeug kühlen und die Oberflächengüte des Werkstückes verbessern. Darüber hinaus entfällt durch die Absaugung des Abriebes die unangenehme Staubbelästigung des Bedienungspersonals. Diese Wirkung kann man dadurch unterstützen, daß der Schleifkörper im Bereich seiner Arbeitsfläche mit Ausnehmungen versehen ist. Die Ausnehmungen, die sich vorzugsweise axial erstrekken, ermöglichen es, daß durch einfaches Abziehen der Schleifkörperarbeitsfläche der gewünschte Schnittwinkel eingehalten werden kann. Ferner vermeidet man durch die Ausnehmungen ein Zusetzen des Werkzeuges. Vorzugsweise werden Schleifkörper mit einem Schneidwinkel von 70 bis 90' verwendet.
