Abstract
The flow control valve (1) has an operating organ (2) and a closure element (3) cooperating with a sealing surface (5) of a flow channel (4). The closure element is moved into a readiness position (6) before switching, for obtaining a short switching path (7) before contacting the sealing surface and is moved from the readiness position into a fully retracted position for opening the flow channel cross-section, e.g. by adjusting the position of the bearing element for the closure element.
