Abstract

一种安装到电连接器上的屏蔽件(1)包括一个屏蔽部分(1A),由与之成为一体的,插入壳体(8)的槽(8A)中的腿部(2A)固定在绝缘壳体(8)上,和与腿部(2A)成一体的装配部件(2)。所说装配部件(2)穿过壳体(8)上的槽(9),自壳体(8)的底面(8B)向下伸出,用来与线路板上的孔相啮合。

Description

本发明涉及一种电连接器,具体地说是一种装在电连接器上的电连接器屏蔽件,该屏蔽件具有将电连接器装到线路板上的装配部分。
美国专利4,679,883号公布了一种带金属屏蔽罩的直角连接器。该金属屏蔽罩围绕着结合面,并与一接地板组成一体。该接地板伸向各安装面。环眼螺丝穿过凸缘上的若干窗孔,并穿过接地板,将连接器固装在印刷线路板上。同时形成了一条自金属屏蔽罩到印刷线路板上接地点的电通路。因此,一个要装到线路板上并需要电磁屏蔽的连接器应包括一个将连接器屏蔽的屏蔽件和将屏蔽的连接器安装到线路板上的几个单独的装配件。
于是产生了一个问题:就是制造和装配这样一个连接器需要大量的工时,而且屏蔽件和线路板之间的接地连接是不可靠的。
本发明的目的是提供一个具有良好电特性的屏蔽件,以及将屏蔽件和装配件加工成为一个整体部件,使之不仅易于装配,也避免了两个独立部件之间的电连接不完整的可能性。另外,由于整体形成的带有装配部件的屏蔽件很易于安装,并可牢靠地固定在连接器的外壳上,所以能减少装配需要的工时。这样的电连接器组件就能顺利地安装到线路板上。
根据本发明的屏蔽件包括一个罩住连接器壳体前表面的屏蔽部分和将电连接器装到线路板上的装配部分。本发明的特点是:屏蔽件和装配件由合适的导电金属板整体制成,并在屏蔽部分和装配部分的端部均有固紧部分,用于将屏蔽件固紧于连接器的壳体上。
因此,按这种方法制造的屏蔽件,可以避免屏蔽件和装配件之间的不完整电连接。而且将屏蔽件装到连接器绝缘壳体上和将连接器安到线路板上所需的装配工时可以减少。当连接器安装到线路板上时,在其与线路板上接地点之间能够获得较好的接地连接。
进而,由于装配件可直接固焊在对导电材料进行过表面处理,即为获得良好的焊接特性所做的处理,的接地面上,便可保证进一步改进了的装配工艺和电连接。
参照下列本发明的详细说明和相应的附图对本发明的实施例进行描述。
图1为表明屏蔽件和连接器壳体的部件分解透视图。
图2是按照本发明将屏蔽件与连接器壳体组装在一起的一个整体屏蔽电连接器的透视图。
按照本发明,屏蔽件由一块合适的导电金属片制成。它包括罩在电连接器壳体前表面上的屏蔽部分1A和与其做成一体的装配件2。利用装配件2把电连接器安到线路板上,并焊在其上,以建立接地连接。腿部2A自屏蔽部分1A向后伸出;而装配件2由腿部2A向下弯折,与之成直角。
套管部6向前突出于屏蔽部分1A。它可为长方形。并在上壁和下壁上布有一些压齿痕3。在优选实施例中,套管部6的侧壁有一些固定孔3A,用于安装附加电连接器的锁紧件。此外,在屏蔽部分1A的两侧有将连接器固定到接线板上的螺孔4。腿部2A在螺孔4的下侧。凸爪或固紧件5在屏蔽部分1A的上侧两边,并对准螺孔4的位置上方。另外一对凸爪或固紧件7则在腿部2A的后侧。这些凸爪或固紧件5,7折入壳体8上侧和后侧的凹槽5A、7A内,使两者相接合。
在壳体8左下侧和右下侧有L形槽8A,相应地可与腿部2A和装配件2相配合。槽9自壳体8前面向壳体8的后方沿表面8B延伸。与每个槽8A相连通的槽9用来接纳装配件2。
当屏蔽件1与连接器壳体8相装配时,屏蔽部分1A与壳体8的前表面相吻合。带有装配件2的腿部2A插入槽8A、9和壳体8的前表面内。
在屏蔽件1置于壳体8上后,凸爪5,7即被折入相应的壳体8上的凹槽5A,7A之中,以使屏蔽件1和其上与之为一体的装配件2固定在连接器壳体8上,如图2所示。电触头10是以单独工序装入壳体8内的。从而形成了一个完整的屏蔽电连接器11,如图2所示。
连接器壳体8上有若干孔8C以接纳螺钉。螺钉穿过这些孔8C,以及与这些孔对准的屏蔽部分1A上的螺孔4可将连接器固定到接线板上。也就是连接器可用从屏蔽件1前表面插入的固定螺钉拧紧在接线板上。屏蔽连接器11通过将装配件2插入线路板上相应孔内安装在线路板上。这是一种压配合。藉此便可将连接器暂时稳定在线路板上。然后,便可将装配件2焊在线路板上的接地点。装配件2可看成是一对有弹性的分离插脚。插脚底端从内缘到外缘成锥形,以保证这对插脚可靠地插入线路板的孔中。插脚外缘呈锯齿形,沿印刷线路板厚度方向与孔的侧壁摩擦啮合。由此连接器即固定在线路板上。
由于本发明的屏蔽件是由屏蔽部分1A和装配件2形成一体构成的。因此保证了其间有更可靠的电连续性。与装配件形成一件的屏蔽件通过将凸爪5、7折弯来啮合壳体,便能容易地安装在壳体8上。所以将具有一体的装配件的屏蔽件装到连接器上的装配工时就大为减少。由此形成了一个十分可靠的屏蔽电连接器。它可由与之成为一体的装配件容易地安在线路板上。由于插座孔的摩擦啮合,装配件便可临时地将连接器固定在线路板上。再将装配件焊在接地端上形成永久连接。这样就形成了极好的接地连接。

Claims (8)

1、一种用于电连接器的金属屏蔽件,包括一个屏蔽连接器用的屏蔽部分(1A),和若干将连接器装到线路板上的装配件(2),其特征在于:
所说屏蔽部分(1A)包括腿部(2A),该腿部(2A)上有伸出的上述装配件(2),和
上述屏蔽部分(1A)上有固紧件(5,7),用来将屏蔽件(1)固紧在连接器壳体(8)上,连接器的装配件伸出来与线路板上的孔相啮合,从而将连接器装在线路板上。
2、如权利要求1所述的金属屏蔽件,其特征在于所述装配件(2)相对于上述的腿部(2A)折成直角。
3、如权利要求2所述的金属屏蔽件,其特征在于每个所述的装配件(2)均包括一对分离插脚,所说插脚端部为锥形的斜面,插脚的外缘呈锯齿形状。
4、如权利要求1所述的金属屏蔽件,其特征在于所述的固紧件(5,7)为凸爪。
5、一种用于安装到线路板上的屏蔽电连接器,包括一个绝缘壳体(8)和一个安装于壳体上的屏蔽件(1),该壳体(8)内安有可与线路板上导电区相连接的电触头(10),其特征在于:
所述的屏蔽件(1)包括一个突出于上述壳体(8)的屏蔽部分(1A),和沿上述壳体(8)伸出的整体腿部(2A),所述的腿部(2A)包括从上述壳体(8)的底面(8B)向外伸出的整体装配部分,该伸出部分与线路板上的孔啮合,将屏蔽连接器固定在线路板上。
6、如权利要求5所述的屏蔽电连接器,其特征在于上述壳体(8)有槽(8A),上述腿部(2A)沿槽插入。
7、如权利要求6所述的屏蔽电连接器,其特征在于上述槽(8A)包括与之相连通的槽9,上述装配件(2)沿槽(9)插入。
8、如权利要求5所述的屏蔽电连接器,其特征在于所述的装配件(2),每个包括一对分离的插脚,插脚的端部是锥形面,插脚的外缘呈锯齿形状。
9、如权利要求5所述的屏蔽电连接器,其特征在于上述屏蔽件(1)包括凸爪(5,7),该凸爪(5,7)折入上述壳体(8)的槽(5A,7A)内,使上述屏蔽件(1)固定在上述壳体(8)上。
