Abstract
An electronic device and a control method thereof are provided. The electronic device includes: a rotatable display; a motor for rotating the display; a memory storing at least one command; a processor executing the at least one command stored in the memory, the control electronics operating in one of a landscape mode and a portrait mode, wherein the processor controls the display to display a user interface for setting the display mode for each of the plurality of operation modes, stores information about the display mode corresponding to each of the at least one operation mode to the memory if a user input for setting the display mode corresponding to the operation mode is received through the user interface, and controls at least one of the display and the motor to operate the display according to the information about the display mode corresponding to the first operation mode stored in the memory if a user input for operating in a first operation mode of the at least one operation mode is received.
Description
The present application is a divisional application of an invention patent application "electronic device and control method of the electronic device" filed on 13/5/2020 and having an application number of 202010401429.7.
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to an electronic device and a control method thereof, and more particularly, to an electronic device in which a display can be rotated and a control method thereof.
Background
Recently, with the development of electronic technology, various electronic devices are being developed. In particular, a rotatable display device is being developed recently.
The rotatable display device may rotate the display arranged in the landscape state to the portrait state or rotate the display arranged in the portrait state to the landscape state when a user command for rotation is input.
Currently, there is a technology in which the display is directly rotated at a point of time desired by a user or the display is rotated only in a partial case. For example, if a user input is received, the electronic device rotates the display according to the user input. In this case, there is an inconvenience that the user needs to input a user command for rotating the display each time.
Therefore, the necessity for independently setting the rotation state of the display for each of the service provided by the electronic device, the external device connectable to the electronic device, and the power on/off with respect to the electronic device is increasing.
Disclosure of Invention
The present disclosure has been made in view of the above-mentioned necessity, and it is an object of the present disclosure to provide an electronic device and a control method thereof, which can set a display mode of a display for each source of the display supplied to the electronic device.
To achieve the object, an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a rotatable display; a motor for rotating the display; a memory storing at least one command; and a processor to control the electronic device to execute at least one command stored in the memory and to control the electronic device to operate in one of a landscape mode and a portrait mode, wherein the processor: controlling the display to display a first UI for setting a display mode for each of at least one source providing an image to the display, storing information on a display mode corresponding to a first source of the at least one source in the memory if a first user input for setting the display mode corresponding to the first source is received through the first UI, and controlling at least one of the display and the motor to operate the display according to the information on the display mode corresponding to the first source stored in the memory if a second user input for providing an image through the first source is received.
To achieve the object, a control method of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: displaying a first UI for setting a display mode for each of at least one source providing an image to a display; storing information on a display mode corresponding to a first source of the at least one source if a first user input setting the display mode corresponding to the first source is received through the first UI; and if a second user input for providing an image through the first source is received, controlling at least one of the display and the motor to cause the display to operate according to pre-stored information about a display mode corresponding to the first source.
To achieve the object, an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a rotatable display; a motor for rotating the display; a memory storing at least one command; and a processor to control the electronic device to execute at least one command stored in the memory and to control the electronic device to operate in one of a landscape mode and a portrait mode, wherein the processor: controlling the display to display a user interface for setting a display mode for each of a plurality of operation modes, storing information on the display mode corresponding to each of the at least one operation mode to the memory if a user input for setting the display mode corresponding to at least one of the plurality of operation modes is received through the user interface, and controlling at least one of the display and the motor to operate the display according to the information on the display mode corresponding to a first operation mode stored in the memory if a user input for operating in the first operation mode of the at least one operation mode is received.
To achieve the object, a control method of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: displaying a user interface for setting a display mode for each of a plurality of operation modes; storing information about a display mode corresponding to each of the at least one operation mode if a user input to set a display mode corresponding to at least one operation mode of the plurality of operation modes is received through the user interface; and if a user input for operating in a first operation mode of the at least one operation mode is received, controlling at least one of a display and a motor for rotating the display to cause the display to operate according to pre-stored information about a display mode corresponding to the first operation mode.

Hereinafter, the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1a is a block diagram for explaining the configuration of an electronic apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The electronic device 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be implemented as various Display devices such as a TV, a smart TV, a screen, an electronic album, an electronic blackboard, an electronic desk, a notebook, a Large Display (LFD), and the like.
Referring to fig. 1a, an electronic device 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a memory 110, a display 120, a motor 130, and a processor 140.
At least one command regarding the electronic device 100 may be stored in the memory 110. An Operating System (O/S) for driving the electronic device 100 may be stored in the memory 110. Also, the memory 110 may have stored therein various software programs or applications for causing the electronic device 100 to operate in accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure. Also, the Memory 110 may include a semiconductor Memory such as a Flash Memory (Flash Memory) or a magnetic storage medium such as a Hard Disk (Hard Disk).
In particular, various software modules may be stored in the memory 110 for enabling the electronic device 100 to operate according to various embodiments of the present disclosure, and the processor 140 may control the operation of the electronic device 100 by executing the various software modules stored in the memory 110. That is, the memory 110 may be accessed by the processor 140, and may perform data reading/writing/modifying/deleting/updating, etc. through the processor 140.
In addition, in the present disclosure, the term "memory 110" may be used as meaning including the memory 110, a ROM (not shown) within the processor 140, a RAM (not shown), or a memory card (not shown) (e.g., a micro SD card, a memory stick) mounted on the electronic device 100.
In particular, in various embodiments according to the present disclosure, if a user input setting a display mode corresponding to each of at least one source providing an image to the display 120 is received, information about the display mode corresponding to the source receiving the user input may be stored in the memory 110. Also, contents and the like received from an external device such as a user terminal or a broadcast receiving device may be stored in the memory 110. In addition, various information required for achieving the object of the present disclosure may be stored in the memory 110, and the information stored in the memory 110 may be updated according to reception from a server or an external device or through user input.
The display 120 may display various images. Here, the image is a concept including at least one of a still image or a moving image, and the display 120 may display various images such as broadcast content, multimedia content, and the like. Also, the display 120 may display various User Interfaces (UIs) as well as icons.
The display 120 may be rotated according to the driving of the motor 130. At this time, the display 120 may be rotated around the rotation center while maintaining the predetermined direction in the front. Here, the rotation center may be located at the geometric center of the display 120, but is not necessarily limited thereto, and may be located at other positions of the display 120.
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the display 120 may operate in one of a landscape mode and a portrait mode. As an example, as shown in fig. 1b, the portrait mode may be a mode in which the display 120 has a longer vertical ratio than a horizontal ratio. At this time, although the display mode shown in fig. 1b may be referred to as a portrait mode, it is only an embodiment and may also be referred to as a portrait orientation mode or a portrait (Portrait) mode. Also, as shown in fig. 1c, the landscape mode may be a mode in which the landscape ratio of the display 120 is longer than the portrait ratio. At this time, although the display mode shown in fig. 1c may be referred to as a landscape mode, it is only an example and may be referred to as a landscape (landscape) mode or a landscape posture mode.
According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the processor 140 may control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to operate the display 120 in one of the portrait mode of fig. 1b and the landscape mode of fig. 1c according to a preset display mode.
The Display 120 may be implemented as various types of displays such as a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), a Light Emitting Diode (LED), an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED), a Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS), a Digital Light Processing (DLP), and the like. The display 120 may further include a driving circuit, a backlight unit, and the like, which may be implemented in the form of, for example, an a-si TFT, a Low Temperature Polysilicon (LTPS) TFT, an organic TFT (OTFT), and the like.
Also, the display 120 may be implemented as a touch screen in combination with a touch sensing part.
The motor 130 may rotate the display 120. Specifically, the motor 130 may be connected to a gear (e.g., a circular gear) combined with the display 120, and may rotate the gear according to the control of the processor 140, thereby rotating the display 120. Alternatively, the motor 130 may suspend rotation of the gear, and thus the display 120, according to the control of the processor 140.
For this, the motor 130 may be implemented as a stepping motor capable of generating a rotational force, but it is only an embodiment, and the motor 130 may be implemented as various motors such as an AC motor, a DC motor, etc.
The processor 140 controls the overall operation of the electronic device 100. To this end, the processor 140 may include at least one of a Central Processing Unit (CPU), an Application Processor (AP), and a Communication Processor (CP). The processor 140 may be implemented in a variety of ways. For example, the processor 140 may be implemented as at least one of an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC), an embedded processor, a microprocessor, hardware control logic, a hardware Finite State Machine (FSM), and a Digital Signal Processor (DSP). Further, in the present disclosure, the term "processor" may be used as meaning including a Central Processing Unit (CPU), a Graphic Processing Unit (GPU), a Main Processing Unit (MPU), and the like.
The processor 140 may drive an operating system or an application program to control a hardware component or a software component connected to the processor 140, and may perform various data processing and operations. Also, the processor 140 may load and process a command or data received from at least one of the other constituent elements into the volatile memory, and may store various data into the non-volatile memory.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, the processor 140 may control the display 120 to display a first UI for setting a display mode for each of at least one source providing an image to the display 120. According to the present disclosure, the electronic device 100 may set a display mode with respect to a source providing an image to the display 120 based on a user input received through the first UI.
As an embodiment, information on at least one source and an icon for setting a display mode on the at least one source may be included in the first UI. And, if a first icon corresponding to the first source is selected among the icons for setting the display mode with respect to the at least one source, the processor 140 may control the display 120 to display a second icon for changing the display mode with respect to the first source. Also, if a first user input to set a display mode corresponding to the first source is received through the second icon, the processor 140 may store information on the display mode corresponding to the first source in the memory 110 based on the first user input.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, a display mode regarding a situation in which the power of the electronic apparatus 100 is turned on or off may be set through the first UI. As an example, if a user input for turning off the power of the electronic device 100 is received, the processor 140 controls at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to operate the display 120 in a display mode corresponding to a case where the power is turned off according to the setting through the first UI, and the power of the electronic device 100 may be turned off. Details of setting the display mode regarding the case where the power of the electronic apparatus 100 is turned on or off will be described later with reference to fig. 8a and 8 b.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, through the first UI, a display mode regarding a screen provided from at least one external device connectable with the electronic device 100 may be set. In this case, as an embodiment, if the processor 140 performs the initial connection with the external device, the display 120 may be controlled to display the first UI.
And, if a first external device among the at least one external device connectable with the electronic device 100 performs a primary connection, the display 120 may be controlled to further display information on a terminal connected with the first external device and information on the first external device on the first UI.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, the processor 140 may control the display 120 to further display a recommendation icon for recommending a display mode for each source on the first UI. As an embodiment, the processor 140 may acquire information about the source and control the display 120 to further display a recommendation icon for recommending a display mode corresponding to the source on the first UI based on the acquired information. As an embodiment, in case that the source is a first external device among external devices connectable with the electronic device, the processor 140 may receive information about the first external device from the first external device. As an embodiment, the information on the first external device may include a type of the first external device, a product name, a manufacturer, content viewing history information of a user using the first external device, and the like. Also, the processor 140 may identify a display mode corresponding to the first external device based on the received information about the first external device. Also, the processor 140 may control the display 120 to display a recommendation icon for recommending the recognized display mode as a display mode with respect to the first external device on the first UI.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, in a case where an application is provided inside an external device connectable with the electronic device 100, the processor 140 may control the display 120 to also display a second UI for setting a display mode for each application provided on the external device. And, if a third user input to set a display mode corresponding to a first application among at least one application set in the first external device is received through the second UI, the processor 140 may store information on the display mode corresponding to the first application in the memory 110.
As an embodiment, a case may be assumed in which the display mode with respect to the first external device is set to the landscape mode, and the display mode with respect to the first application provided within the first external device is set to the portrait mode. In this case, if a user input for receiving an image through the first external device is received, the processor 140 may control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to cause the display 120 to operate in a landscape mode according to the information about the display mode corresponding to the first external device stored in the memory 110. That is, during operation in the portrait mode in the existing display mode of the display 120, if a user input for receiving an image through the first external device is received, the processor 140 may control the display 120 and the motor 130 to rotate the display 120 such that the display 120 operates in the landscape mode. In contrast, in case that the existing display mode of the display 120 is the landscape mode, if a user input for providing an image through the first external device is received, the processor 140 may control the display 120 to maintain the display mode of the display 120 unchanged. Also, during the display of the image provided by the first external device in the landscape mode, if a user input for displaying an image regarding the first application is received, the processor 140 may control the display 120 and the motor 130 to cause the display 120 to operate in the portrait mode according to information regarding a display mode corresponding to the first application.
That is, as an embodiment according to the present disclosure, if a second user input for displaying the first source is received, the processor 140 may recognize whether the display mode corresponding to the first source and the current display mode are the same. In the case where the display mode corresponding to the first source is different from the current display mode, the processor 140 may control the display 120 and the motor 130 to rotate the display 120. In contrast, in the case where the display mode corresponding to the first source is the same as the current display mode, the processor 140 may maintain the display mode of the display 120 as it is.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, in case that the display 120 rotates according to a display mode corresponding to the first source, the processor 140 may control the display 120 to display a third UI inquiring whether to rotate. And, if a user input for rotating the display 120 is received through the third UI, the processor 140 may control the display 120 and the motor 130 such that the display 120 is rotated.
That is, as an embodiment, if it is recognized that the display mode is changed according to the user input for displaying the first source, the display 120 may be immediately rotated, but is not limited thereto, and in case of receiving a rotation command of the user through the third UI, the display 120 may be operated according to the display mode corresponding to the first source.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, a display mode regarding a source corresponding to an image displayed by the display 120 may be set according to a history regarding the image displayed by the display 120. In particular, the processor 140 may control the display 120 to display information about a history of images displayed for the display 120. That is, the processor 140 may control the display 120 to display at least one of information about at least one source displayed on the display 120, information about a time at which the at least one source is displayed, and information about a display mode displayed on the at least one source. Also, the processor 140 may control the display 120 to further display an icon for setting a display mode for each of the at least one source. And, if the icon is selected, the processor 140 may control the display 120 to display a first UI for setting a display mode with respect to a source corresponding to the icon.
Although the method of setting the display mode for each source through the first UI in the electronic apparatus 100 has been described above, it is not limited thereto. That is, the display mode for each source of the electronic apparatus 100 may be set by an external apparatus connectable to the electronic apparatus 100, and details thereof will be described later with reference to fig. 16.
According to various embodiments as described above, the electronic apparatus 100 may set the display mode of the display 120 for each source supplied to the electronic apparatus 100, and the display 120 may operate in accordance with the display mode corresponding to the source provided to the screen of the display 120.
Fig. 2 is a sequence diagram for explaining an operation of an electronic apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
The electronic device 100 may display a first UI for setting a display mode for each of at least one source providing an image on a display (S210). As an embodiment, the electronic device 100 may display a first UI for setting a display mode with respect to an external device connectable to the electronic device 100 when performing an initial connection with the external device. As an example, if a new external device is connected to the HDMI 1 terminal provided in the electronic device 100, the first UI may be displayed.
Also, if a user input for setting a display mode for each source is received, the electronic apparatus 100 may display the first UI. As an embodiment, the user input for setting the display mode for each source may be a user input for displaying the first UI through environment setting of the electronic apparatus 100. Also, the electronic apparatus 100 may display the first UI through a user input for setting a display mode for each source according to the viewing history, and details regarding this will be described later with reference to fig. 9.
As an embodiment, the first UI is a UI for setting a display mode with respect to at least one source providing an image to the display according to the present disclosure. Information about at least one source, at least one first icon for setting a display mode about the at least one source, and a second icon for changing the display mode about the at least one source may be included in the first UI.
As an embodiment, if a first icon corresponding to a first source is selected among at least one first icon, the electronic device 100 may display a second icon for changing a display mode with respect to the first source on the first UI. During the display of the first UI, the electronic device 100 may receive a first user input setting a display mode corresponding to a first source of the at least one source through the first UI (S220). As an embodiment, the first user input may include a user input selecting an icon displayed on the first UI, but is not limited thereto and may also include a voice input of the user. That is, the first user input may include: a user input for inputting an icon displayed in the first UI through an external remote control device connected to the electronic device 100; and a user voice for selecting an icon displayed on the first UI through a speaker provided in the electronic apparatus 100 or a speaker provided in an external remote control apparatus.
Also, based on the first user input, the electronic device 100 may store information about a display mode corresponding to the first source (S230). As an embodiment, if a first user input setting a display mode corresponding to a first source to a landscape mode is received, the electronic device 100 may store information about the first source and information about the landscape mode as information about the display mode corresponding to the first source in a matching manner.
And, if a second user input for receiving an image through the first source is received (S240), the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 and the motor 130 to cause the display 120 to operate according to pre-stored information about a display mode corresponding to the first source (S250). Specifically, the electronic device 100 may maintain the display mode of the display 120 under the condition that the current display mode of the display 120 is the same as the pre-stored display mode corresponding to the first source. However, in a case where the display mode of the display 120 at present is different from the pre-stored display mode corresponding to the first source, the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 and the motor 130 to rotate the display 120.
Fig. 3 is a diagram for explaining a UI for setting a display mode with respect to an image provided by an external device connectable to an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
Referring to fig. 3, the electronic device 100 may display a UI 30 for setting a display mode for each of at least one external device connectable with the electronic device 100 on a display. That is, the user can set a display mode with respect to each external device connectable with the electronic device 100 through the UI 30 shown in fig. 3.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, the UI 30 for setting a display mode for each external device may include information 310-1 to 310-4 about at least one source and at least one icon 320-1 to 320-4 for setting a display mode about at least one source. Specifically, the UI 30 may include information 310-1 for setting information about an a set-top box connected to the HDMI No. 1 terminal and a 1 st-1 icon 320-1 for setting a display mode about the a set-top box. Also, the information 310-1 on the a set-top box may include information on a display mode (landscape mode) currently set at the a set-top box. Also, the UI 30 may include information 310-2 about B TV connected to the HDMI No. 2 terminal and a 1-2 icon 320-2 for setting a display mode about the B TV. As an embodiment, if the 1 st-2 icon 320-2 for setting the display mode with respect to the B TV is selected, a second icon 330 for changing the display mode with respect to the B TV may also be displayed on the UI 30. As an example, the second icon 330 may include icons regarding "landscape running", "portrait running", and "running with the current screen".
Also, if a user input to set a display mode with respect to the B TV is received through the second icon 330, the electronic apparatus 100 may store information regarding the display mode with respect to the B TV in the memory 110 based on the user input. Specifically, if the "landscape" icon among the second icons 330 is selected, the electronic apparatus 100 may store information matching information about the B TV with information about the landscape mode as information about the display mode corresponding to the B TV in the memory 110. Also, in case of selecting an icon about "run on current screen" among the second icons 330, the electronic device 100 may store information matching information about the current display mode of the display 120 and information about the B TV in the memory 110.
After setting the display mode with respect to the B TV through the UI 30 of fig. 3, if a user input for displaying an image provided from the B TV to the display 120 is received, the electronic apparatus 100 may control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to operate the display 120 based on the information about the display mode of the B TV stored in the memory. Although the UI 30 in fig. 3 shows a case where an external device is connected through an HDMI terminal, it is not limited thereto. That is, the external device may be connected to the electronic device 100 through a Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL), a Universal Serial Bus (USB), a Display Port (DP), a Thunderbolt, a Video Graphics Array (VGA) Port, an RGB Port, a D-subminiature (D-SUB), or a Digital Visual Interface (DVI) or may be wirelessly connected to the electronic device 100 through a communication interface described later.
As an example, the UI 30 of fig. 3 may be displayed on the display 120 of the electronic device 100, but is not limited thereto. That is, the display mode may be set for each of at least one external device connected to the electronic device 100 through the UI 30 at the external device connected to the electronic device. In this case, an unselected icon among the icons included in the second icon 330 may be displayed in an obscured manner. That is, since the current screen state of the electronic device 100 cannot be recognized in the case where the UI 30 is displayed on the external device, the icon about "run on the current screen" included in the second icon 330 of fig. 3 may be displayed in a blurred manner.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, an "auto mode" icon may be further displayed on the second icon 330, and if the "auto mode" is selected, the display mode of the corresponding source may be set based on the viewing history with respect to the corresponding source. As an example, if the user input to set the display mode with respect to the first source to the landscape mode is input a predetermined number of times or more (e.g., 5 times), the electronic device 100 may automatically set the display mode with respect to the first source to the landscape mode.
With the above-described embodiment, the display mode is set for each external device connectable to the electronic device 100, so that the electronic device 100 can control the display 120 according to the display mode set in advance in the case where an image is provided from the set external device.
Fig. 4 is a diagram for explaining a UI for setting a display mode with respect to an image provided by an application provided inside an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
Referring to fig. 4, the electronic apparatus 100 may display a UI 40 for setting a display mode for each application provided inside the electronic apparatus 100 on a display. That is, the user can set a display mode with respect to each application provided within the electronic apparatus 100 through the UI 40 displayed in fig. 4.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, the UI 40 for setting a display mode for each application provided inside the electronic device 100 may include information 410-1 to 410-4 about at least one application and at least one icon 420-1 to 420-4 for setting a display mode for the at least one application.
Specifically, the UI 40 may include information 410-1 regarding an album application provided at the electronic device 100 and a 1 st-1 icon 420-1 for setting a display mode regarding the album application. Also, the information 410-1 on the album application may include information (landscape mode) on a display mode currently set in the album application. Also, the UI 40 may include information 410-2 regarding the video application and a 1 st-2 nd icon 420-2 for setting a display mode regarding the video application. As an embodiment, if the 1 st-2 nd icon 420-2 is selected, a second icon 430 for changing a display mode with respect to a video application may also be displayed.
Also, if a user input to set a display mode for the video application is received through the second icon 430, the electronic device 100 may store information on the display mode for the video application in the memory 110 based on the user input.
Although the UI 40 of fig. 4 may be displayed on the display 120 of the electronic device 100, the invention is not limited thereto. That is, the display mode may be set for each application provided inside the electronic apparatus 100 through the UI 40 at an external apparatus connected to the electronic apparatus. In this case, an unselected icon among icons included in the second icon 430 may be displayed in an obscured manner. That is, since the current screen state of the electronic device 100 cannot be recognized in the case where the UI 40 is displayed on the external device, the icon about "run on the current screen" included in the second icon 430 of fig. 4 may be displayed in a blurred manner.
With the above-described embodiment, in a case where a display mode is set for each application provided in the electronic apparatus 100, thereby running the application for which the display mode is set, the electronic apparatus 100 may control the display 120 according to the display mode set in advance.
Fig. 5a and 5b are diagrams for explaining a UI for setting a display mode with respect to an image provided by an application provided on an external device connectable to an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
Referring to fig. 5a and 5b, the electronic device 100 may display UIs 50-1, 50-2 for setting a display mode for each application provided at an external device connectable to the electronic device 100 on a display. That is, the user may set a display mode with respect to at least one external device connectable with the electronic device 100 through the UI 50-1 shown in FIG. 5a, and may set a display mode with respect to an application provided to the external device through the UI 50-1 shown in FIG. 5 b.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, the electronic device 100 may further display an icon for setting a display mode with respect to an application provided to the external device on the UI 50-1 for setting a display mode with respect to at least one external device connectable to the electronic device 100. Referring to fig. 5a, the UI 50-1 further includes an icon 510 for setting a display mode with respect to an application provided on the D-smart phone connected to the HDMI 4.
Also, if the icon 510 for setting the display mode with respect to the application set at the smart phone is selected, the UI 50-2 with respect to the display mode with respect to the application set at the D smart phone according to fig. 5b may be displayed. Also, a display mode may be set for each application set in the D smart phone through the UI 50-2 shown in fig. 5 b.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, as shown in fig. 5a and 5b, a case may be assumed in which a display mode corresponding to a D smart phone is set to a landscape mode (landscape mode), and a message application provided in the D smart phone is set to a landscape mode (portrait mode). In this case, if a user input for receiving an image through the D-smart phone is received, the electronic device 100 may control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to operate the display 120 in the landscape mode. If a messaging application provided at the D-smart phone is running while the image provided by the D-smart phone is displayed on the display 120 in the landscape mode, the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 and the motor 130 to operate the display 120 in the landscape mode.
Fig. 6a and 6b are diagrams for explaining a UI for setting a display mode for each channel provided by an external device connectable to an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
Referring to fig. 6a, the electronic device 100 may further display an icon 610 for setting a display mode for each channel provided by the external device on the UI 60-1 for setting a display mode of the external device connectable with the electronic device 100. That is, in the case where the a set-top box connected to the HDMI 1 terminal of fig. 6a provides images on a plurality of channels, the electronic apparatus 100 may also display an icon 610 for setting a display mode for each of the plurality of channels, along with an icon for setting a display mode on the HDMI 1 terminal.
And, if the icon 610 is selected, the electronic device 100 may display the UI 60-2 for setting the display mode with respect to the plurality of channels provided by the a set-top box, as shown in fig. 6 b. Also, through the UI 60-2 of FIG. 6b, a display mode may be set for each of the plurality of channels provided by the set-top box.
As an embodiment, a case may be assumed in which the display mode with respect to the a set-top box connected to the HDMI 1 terminal is set to the landscape mode, and the display mode with respect to the channel 1 provided by the a set-top box is set to the portrait mode. In this case, if a user input for receiving an image with respect to the a set-top box connected to the HDMI 1 terminal is received, the electronic device 100 may control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to operate the display 120 in the landscape mode. Also, during the display 120 displaying the image on the a set-top box, if a user input for displaying the image on the channel 1 is received, the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 and the motor 130 to operate the display 120 in the portrait mode.
With the embodiments as described above, the display mode can be set according to the characteristics and kinds of channels provided by the external device.
Fig. 7a to 7c are diagrams for explaining a method in which a display mode of a display is changed according to an image provided by an external device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
If a user input for receiving an image through an external device in which a display mode related to the external device is set is received, the electronic device 100 may control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to cause the display 120 to operate according to the display mode set for the external device. Also, if an application set to the external device is executed, which sets a display mode related to the application, the electronic device 100 may control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to cause the display 120 to operate according to the display mode set for the corresponding application.
Fig. 7a is a diagram illustrating providing an image provided inside the electronic device 100 in a landscape mode. Referring to fig. 7a, a screen provided from the electronic apparatus 100 is being displayed. Also, if a user input for providing an image through an external device such as a smart phone is received, the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 to operate according to a display mode set for the corresponding external device and display the image provided by the corresponding external device on the display 120, as shown in fig. 7 b. As an example, if the display mode set for the external device is a landscape mode and a user input for providing an image through the external device is received, the electronic device 100 may display the image provided by the external device on the display 120 while controlling the display 120 to operate in a portrait mode, as shown in fig. 7 b.
Also, as shown in fig. 7b, if an application set to the external device is executed during the display of an image provided by the external device, the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 to operate according to a display mode set for the executed application. As an example, if the display mode set for the video application provided to the external device is the landscape mode, and if a user input for providing an image through the video application provided to the external device is received, the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 to operate while changing from the portrait mode to the landscape mode, as shown in fig. 7c, and display the image provided by the video application of the external device on the display 120.
With the above-described embodiments, the display mode of the display can be set according to the characteristics and kinds of applications provided to the external device.
Fig. 8a is a diagram for explaining a UI for setting a display mode in a case where a power of an electronic device is turned on or off according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
Referring to fig. 8a, the electronic apparatus 100 may display a UI 80 for setting a display mode for each power state of the electronic apparatus 100 on a display. That is, the user can set the display mode of the display 120 when the power of the electronic apparatus 100 is turned on or off through the UI 80 shown in fig. 4.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, the UI 80 for setting the display mode for each power state of the electronic device 100 may include an icon 820-1 for setting the display mode in a case where the power of the electronic device 100 is turned on and an icon 820-2 for setting the display mode in a case where the power of the electronic device 100 is turned off.
Also, if the icon 820-2 for setting the display mode in the case where the power of the electronic apparatus 100 is turned off is selected, the electronic apparatus 100 may further display an icon 830 for changing the display mode in the case where the power of the electronic apparatus 100 is turned off on the UI 80. As an embodiment, the icons 830 for changing the display mode in the case where the power of the electronic device 100 is turned off may include icons regarding "turn off in the landscape" and "turn off in the portrait". However, it is not limited thereto, and as shown in fig. 8a, an icon about "close with current screen" may also be included. That is, after the icon 830 selects "turn off in landscape" to set the display mode in a case where the electronic apparatus 100 is turned off to the landscape mode, if a user input for turning off the electronic apparatus 100 is received, the electronic apparatus 100 may control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to operate the display 120 in the landscape mode while turning off the power of the electronic apparatus 100. Also, if a user input for turning off the electronic apparatus 100 is received after the icon 830 selects "turn off with current screen" to set the display mode in a state where the electronic apparatus 100 is turned off to the portrait mode, the electronic apparatus 100 may control the display 120 to turn off the power of the display 120 while maintaining the current display mode.
Also, if the icon 820-1 for setting the display mode in the case where the power of the electronic device 100 is turned on is selected, the electronic device 100 may further display an icon (not shown) for changing the display mode in the case where the power of the electronic device 100 is turned on the UI 80. As an embodiment, icons (not shown) for changing a display mode in a case where the power of the electronic device 100 is turned on may include icons regarding "turn on in the landscape" and "turn on in the portrait". However, it is not limited thereto, and an icon about "open with current screen" may be included.
Fig. 8b is a diagram for illustrating a method of operating a display according to a display mode in a case where a power of an electronic device is turned on after being turned off according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
As an example, a case may be assumed where the display mode in a case where the power of the electronic device 100 is turned off is set to the "portrait mode" and the display mode in a case where the power of the electronic device 100 is turned on is set to the "landscape mode". In this case, as in fig. 8b, in a case where the display 120 is currently operated in the portrait mode, if a user input for turning off the power of the electronic device 100 is received, the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 to turn off the power while maintaining the display mode of the display 120 in the portrait mode. Also, if a user input for turning on the power of the electronic device 100 is received, the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 and the motor 130 such that the display 120 operates in a landscape mode.
Fig. 9 is a diagram illustrating a UI 90 for setting a classification mode for each source according to a display device viewing history according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
Referring to fig. 9, the electronic apparatus 100 may display history information on sources providing images displayed on the display 120 on the UI 90 for setting a display mode for each source according to the viewing history. That is, referring to fig. 9, which shows that the electronic device 100 is turned on in landscape mode at 9 o 29/9/2/2020, the electronic device 100 is connected with the D-smart phone in a mirror image manner after 1 minute. And, the first application provided at the D smart phone is operated in the landscape mode at 10: 21, and the image provided by the a set-top box connected to the HDMI 1 terminal is operated in the portrait mode at 10: 30.
Also, the electronic apparatus 100 may further display an icon for setting a display mode for each source according to the viewing history on the UI 90 for setting a display mode for each source according to the viewing history. That is, if the icon 910 corresponding to the case where the electronic device 100 is turned on is selected, the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 to display a UI for setting a display mode of the case where the electronic device 100 is turned on.
Also, if the "Re-connect (Re-connect)" icon 920 for the viewing history with respect to the a set-top box is selected, the electronic apparatus 100 may control the display 120 to display an image provided through the a set-top box.
With the above-described embodiment, the display mode for each source providing an image can be set according to the history of images displayed on the electronic apparatus 100.
Although the above-described embodiment has described the case of setting the display mode for each source through the UI 90 that sets the display mode for each source according to the viewing history, it is not limited thereto. As an example, if the user input to set the display mode with respect to the first source to the landscape mode is input a predetermined number of times or more (e.g., 5 times), the electronic device 100 may automatically set the display mode with respect to the first source to the landscape mode.
Fig. 10a is a diagram illustrating an inquiry as to whether to set a UI regarding a display mode of an external device in a case where the external device connectable to the electronic device 100 performs a primary connection with the electronic device 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, if a desktop computer, which is a new external device, is connected at the HDMI 1 terminal of the electronic device 100, the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 to display the UI 1010 inquiring whether to set a display mode with respect to the desktop computer. That is, the electronic device 100 may display a UI inquiring whether to set a display mode with respect to the initially connected external device, so that the user is guided to set the display mode of the external device when the external device is initially connected to the electronic device 100.
Also, if it is recognized that the display mode with respect to the initially connected external device is set through the UI 1010, the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 to display the UI 1000 for setting the display mode with respect to the initially connected external device, as shown in fig. 10 b. As an embodiment, the UI 1000 may include an icon 1020-1 for setting a display mode with respect to the initially connected desktop computer and an icon 1030 for changing the display mode with respect to the desktop computer. Also, the UI 1000 may further include information (HDMI 1) on a terminal to which the primarily connected desktop computer is connected. As an example, even if the desktop computer is connected to the electronic device 100 for the first time, the display mode of the desktop computer may be set to the landscape mode in advance. Also, if the display mode with respect to the desktop computer is changed through the icon 1030 for changing the display mode with respect to the desktop computer, the electronic device 100 may store the changed display mode as the display mode with respect to the desktop computer.
Fig. 11a is a diagram illustrating a UI for setting a display mode of a setting screen with respect to an external device connectable to the electronic device 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, and fig. 11b is a diagram for explaining a method of displaying a setting screen of an external device according to a display mode of a setting screen with respect to an external device.
As an embodiment, in the case where the external device connectable to the electronic device 100 is an IoT device that is not equipped with a display, the setting regarding the external device may be performed by displaying a setting screen regarding the corresponding external device through the display of the electronic device 100.
Fig. 11a illustrates a UI 1100 for changing a display mode of a setting screen regarding an air conditioner and a bar-type sound connectable to the electronic device 100, as an example. If the icon 1120-1 for setting the display mode with respect to the air-conditioning setting screen is selected through the UI 1100, the electronic device 100 may further display an icon 1130 for changing the display mode with respect to the air-conditioning setting screen on the UI 1100. As an embodiment, in the case where the air conditioner connectable to the electronic device 100 is a vertically long type air conditioner, the user may set the display mode regarding the air conditioner setting screen to the vertical mode through the UI 1100. Also, if a user input for displaying a long type air conditioner setting screen in the portrait orientation is received, the electronic device 100 may control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to operate the display 120 in the portrait mode and display the air conditioner setting screen, as shown in fig. 11 b.
Also, as an embodiment, in the case where the bar sound connectable to the electronic apparatus 100 is a bar sound of a horizontally long type, the user can set the display mode of the bar sound setting screen to the horizontal mode through the UI 1100.
With the above-described embodiment, the setting screen for the external device can be set in accordance with the type of the external device.
Fig. 12a is a diagram illustrating a UI for setting a display mode regarding a screen provided by an external device connectable to the electronic device 100 according to an implementation of the present disclosure, and fig. 12b is a diagram for explaining a method of providing a camera screen according to a display mode of a screen provided by a camera connectable to the electronic device 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
As an embodiment, in the case where the external device connectable to the electronic device 100 is an IoT device, the electronic device 100 may set a display mode with respect to the IoT device through the UI 1200 for setting a display mode of a screen provided by the corresponding IoT device. As an embodiment, the electronic device 100 may perform connection with an IoT device through wireless communication. However, it is not limited thereto, and the connection may be performed by wired communication. A detailed description thereof will be described later with reference to fig. 16.
As an embodiment, in the case where the first camera connectable with the electronic device 100 is a camera for photographing a room in which the first camera is provided, the display mode with respect to the first camera may be set through an icon 1220-1 for setting the display mode with respect to the first camera and an icon 1230 for changing the display mode with respect to the first camera within the UI 1200. Also, if a user input for displaying an image provided by the first camera is received, the electronic device 100 may control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to cause the display 120 to operate according to a display mode with respect to the first camera.
As an embodiment, in case that the display mode with respect to the first camera is set to the landscape mode, if a user input for displaying an image provided by the first camera is received, the electronic device 100 may control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to operate the display in the landscape mode and display the image provided by the first camera, as shown in fig. 12 b.
Fig. 13 is a diagram illustrating a UI inquiring whether to operate in a preset display mode according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, in case that a user input for receiving an image through a source providing the image to the display 120 is received and a current display mode is different from a display mode corresponding to the corresponding source, the electronic device 100 may control the display 120 to display the UI 1310 inquiring whether to rotate the display 120.
That is, in case of receiving a user input for receiving an image through a source providing the image to the display 120, the electronic device 100 may immediately control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to operate the display 120 according to a display mode corresponding to the corresponding source, but is not limited thereto. That is, if a user input for receiving an image through a source providing the image to the display 120 is received, the electronic device 100 may control at least one of the display 120 and the motor 130 to operate the display 120 according to a display mode corresponding to a corresponding mode only in case of receiving the user input for rotating the display 120 through the UI 1310 of fig. 13.
Fig. 14 is a diagram for explaining an icon recommending a display mode with respect to a source providing an image to a display according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
As an embodiment of the present disclosure, an icon 1430 recommending a display mode for each source may be further displayed on the UI 1400 for setting a display mode for each of at least one source providing an image to the display 120. That is, if the icon 1410 for setting the display mode with respect to the B TV connected to the HDMI No. 2 terminal is selected in the UI 1400 illustrated in fig. 14, the electronic apparatus 100 may control the display 120 to also display an icon 1430 recommending the display mode with respect to the B TV, together with an icon 1420 to be used for changing the display mode with respect to the B TV.
Specifically, the electronic apparatus 100 may acquire information on at least one source providing an image to the display 120 and control the display 120 to display an icon for recommending a display mode corresponding to the at least one source based on the acquired information. As an embodiment, the electronic device 100 may acquire information about the B TV connected to the HDMI terminal No. 2 from the B TV. As an embodiment, the information on the B TV may include a Type (TV) of the B TV, a product name, a manufacturer of the B TV, B TV content viewing history information, and the like. As an embodiment, if the type of the B TV is TV among the information on the B TV and viewing is performed in the landscape mode among the content viewing history information of the B TV, the electronic apparatus 100 may recognize the recommended display mode on the B TV as the landscape mode. Also, if the icon 1410 for setting the display mode with respect to the B TV is selected, the electronic apparatus 100 may control the display 120 to display an icon 1430 for recommending the display mode with respect to the B TV as a landscape mode, together with the icon 1420 for changing the display mode with respect to the B TV.
With the above-described embodiments, the electronic device 100 may provide a display mode for each source characteristic providing an image to the display.
Fig. 15 is a diagram for explaining a method for setting a display mode with respect to at least one source provided to the display 120 of the electronic device 100 at the external device 200 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, a display mode regarding at least one source provided to the display 120 of the electronic device 100 may also be set at the external device 200 connectable with the electronic device 100.
As an embodiment, in a case where the electronic apparatus 100 is connected with the external apparatus 200 such as a smartphone, a display mode for each source provided from the electronic apparatus 100 may be set through a display equipped to the smartphone. As an embodiment, the display mode for each source provided by the electronic device 100 may be set by the external device 200 through an application for setting the display mode of the electronic device 100. That is, not only the display mode when the image provided by the external device 200 is displayed on the display 120 of the electronic device 100 may be set in the external device 200, but also the display mode with respect to another external device connectable to the electronic device 100 may be set in the external device 200. Also, as an embodiment, a display mode for each application provided in the electronic apparatus 100 may be set in the external apparatus 200.
Fig. 16 is a block diagram for explaining a specific configuration of an electronic apparatus 1600 according to the present disclosure.
As shown in fig. 16, the electronic device 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include not only the memory 1610, the display 1620, the motor 1630, and the processor 1640, but also an input-output interface 1650, a communication interface 1660, a microphone 1670, and a speaker 1680. However, this configuration is merely exemplary, and it is obvious that a new configuration may be added to this configuration or a partial configuration may be omitted in order to implement the present disclosure. As detailed with respect to memory 1610, display 1620, motor 1630, and processor 1640 with reference to fig. 1a, the following detailed description is with respect to input-output interface 1650, communication interface 1660, microphone 1670, and speaker, among others.
The input-output interface 1650 may input and output at least one of audio and image signals. In particular, the input/output interface 1650 may receive images from an external device capable of providing images to the display 1620.
Although the input/output Interface 1650 may be a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), it is only an example and may be an Interface of any one of Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL), Universal Serial Bus (USB), Display Port (DP), Thunderbolt, Video Graphics Array (VGA) Port, RGB Port, D-SUB, Digital Visual Interface (DVI). According to an embodiment, the input-output interface 1650 may independently include a port to input and output only an audio signal and a port to input and output only an image signal, or may be implemented as one port to input and output both an audio signal and an image signal.
The communication interface 1660 is configured to perform communication with various types of external devices according to various types of communication schemes. Communication interface 1660 may include a WiFi chip, a bluetooth chip, a wireless communication chip, and an NFC chip. Processor 1640 can perform communications with various external devices using communications interface 1660.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, the processor 1640 may perform a connection with an IoT device connectable to the electronic device 100 wirelessly through the communication interface 1660. Particularly, the WiFi chip and the bluetooth chip may perform communication in a WiFi manner and a bluetooth manner, respectively. In the case of using a WiFi chip or a bluetooth chip, various connection information such as an SSID and a session key may be transceived first, and various information may be transceived after connection communication using the same. The wireless communication chip means a chip that performs communication in various communication standards such as IEEE, Zigbee, third Generation (3G: 3rd Generation), third Generation Partnership Project (3 GPP: 3rd Generation Partnership Project), Long term evolution (LTE: Long term evolution), and the like. The NFC chip means a chip operating in a Near Field Communication (NFC) mode using a 13.56MHz band among a plurality of RF-ID bands such as 135kHz, 13.56MHz, 433MHz, 860-960 MHz, 2.45GHz, etc.
That is, in one embodiment, the processor 1640 may be connected to an external device that provides an image to the display 1620 via the input/output interface 1650 or the communication interface 1660, and may display the image provided by the external device on the display 1620.
The microphone 1670 receives an audio signal from the outside. The audio signal may include a user voice, and the user voice may include an instruction for setting a display mode with respect to a source providing an image to the display 1620 of the electronic device 1600. However, without being limited thereto, the user voice may also include various voice instructions for controlling the electronic apparatus 1600.
As an embodiment according to the present disclosure, if a user voice for setting a display mode with respect to a source providing an image to the display 1620 is received from the microphone 1670, the processor 1640 may set the display mode with respect to the source based on the input user voice. That is, user input according to the present disclosure may be input from the microphone 1670 by the user's voice. Specifically, the processor 1640 may receive a user voice through the microphone 1670 and perform voice recognition on the received user voice, so that a user command corresponding to the received user voice can be acquired. More specifically, the processor 1640 may receive a user voice through the microphone 1670 and input the received user voice into the learned artificial intelligence model to obtain a user command corresponding to the user voice. Also, if a user command corresponding to the received user voice is acquired, the processor 1640 may set a display mode for a source providing an image to the display 1620 based on the type of the user command, as described above. That is, although the display mode with respect to the source is set by selecting an icon on the UI for setting the display mode in the embodiment detailed previously by the drawings, the display mode with respect to the source providing an image to the display 1620 may be set by the user voice without being limited thereto.
Although the electronic device 1600 disclosed in fig. 16 is disclosed as including the microphone 1670, it is not limited thereto and an external electronic device may receive an audio signal, and the electronic device 1600 according to the present disclosure may receive an audio signal from an external electronic device.
The speaker 1680 may output audio data through control of the processor 1640. In particular, in various embodiments according to the present disclosure, the speaker 1680 may output voice content provided according to user commands. Also, as an embodiment according to the present disclosure, in the case where the display 1620 is rotated, the speaker 1680 may output an audio informing the rotation.
The present embodiments are capable of many modifications and various embodiments, specific embodiments being shown in the drawings and will be described in detail in the detailed description. However, it is not intended to limit the scope of the particular embodiments, and it should be understood that various changes, equivalents, and/or substitutions of the embodiments of the disclosure are included. With respect to the description of the figures, like reference numerals may be used for like elements.
In describing the present disclosure, if it is determined that a detailed description of related well-known functions or configurations will unnecessarily obscure the gist of the present disclosure, a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
Further, the above-described embodiments may be modified into various forms, and the scope of the technical idea of the present disclosure is not limited to the following embodiments. Rather, these embodiments make the present disclosure more complete and complete, and are provided for fully conveying the technical ideas of the present disclosure to those skilled in the art.
Although the above-described embodiment shows a case where the UI for setting the source for providing the image to the display 120 is displayed on the display 120 in the display mode of the landscape mode, it is not limited thereto. That is, the UI according to the present disclosure may be displayed on the display 120 in a display mode of a portrait mode, which is apparent.
The terminology used in the present disclosure is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to limit the scope of the claims. Singular references include plural references unless the context clearly dictates otherwise.
In the present disclosure, the expressions "having", "possibly having", "including" or "may include" and the like indicate the presence of corresponding features (e.g., components of values, functions, operations, or means, etc.), and do not exclude the presence of additional features.
In the present disclosure, the expressions "a or B", "at least one of a or/and B" or "one of a or/and B or more than one thereof" and the like may include all possible combinations of the contents that can be listed together. For example, "a or B", "at least one of a and B", or "at least one of a or B" may refer to all of the following: (1) comprises at least one A; (2) includes at least one B or (3) includes both at least one A and at least one B.
The terms "first", "second", and the like used in the present disclosure may be used to modify a plurality of kinds of components regardless of order and/or importance, and are used only to distinguish one component from another component, and do not limit the corresponding components.
When a certain component (e.g., a first component) is referred to as being (functionally or communicatively) coupled to or "connected to" another component (e.g., a second component), "the certain component and the another component may be directly connected or connected via another component (e.g., a third component).
On the contrary, when a certain component (e.g., a first component) is "directly connected" or "directly connected" to another component (e.g., a second component), it is understood that no other component (e.g., a third component) is present between the certain component and the another component.
The expression "constituted (or, set to) …" used in the present disclosure may be used interchangeably with, for example, "adapted to …", "having … capability (", "designed to …", "changed to …", "manufactured to …", or "may …", as the case may be.
However, in some instances, the expression "a device configured as …" may mean that the device may "function as …" in conjunction with other devices or components. For example, the phrase "a processor configured to execute A, B and C" may refer to a dedicated processor (e.g., an embedded processor) for performing corresponding operations or a general-purpose processor (e.g., a CPU or an application processor) for performing corresponding operations by executing one or more software programs stored in a memory device.
In an embodiment, a "module" or "section" performs at least one function or operation, and may be implemented as hardware or software, or as a combination of hardware and software. Also, a plurality of "modules" or a plurality of "sections" may be integrated into at least one module to be implemented as at least one processor, except for the "modules" or "sections" necessary to be implemented as specific hardware.
In addition, various elements and regions in the drawings are schematically illustrated. Therefore, the technical idea of the present invention is not limited by the relative size or spacing illustrated in the drawings.
Furthermore, the various embodiments described above may be implemented in software, hardware, or a combination thereof on a medium readable by a computer or similar device. By way of hardware implementation, the embodiments described in the present disclosure may be implemented using at least one of Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), Digital Signal Processing Devices (DSPDs), Programmable Logic Devices (PLDs), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), processors (processors), controllers (controllers), micro-controllers, microprocessors (microprocessors), and electrical units (units) for performing other functions. In some cases, the embodiments described herein may be implemented as a processor itself. By software implementation, embodiments such as the steps and functions described in this specification can be implemented as separate software modules. The software modules may each perform more than one of the functions and operations described in this specification.
Further, the method according to various embodiments of the present disclosure described above may be stored in a non-transitory readable medium. Such a non-transitory readable medium can be installed in various devices and used.
A non-transitory readable medium denotes a medium that stores data semi-permanently and can be read (reading) by a device, and not a medium that stores data for a short time such as a register, a cache, and a memory. Specifically, a program for executing the above-described various methods may be provided stored on a non-transitory readable medium such as a CD, a DVD, a hard disk, a blu-ray disc, a USB memory card, a ROM, or the like.
According to an embodiment, a method according to various embodiments disclosed in the present specification may be provided in a computer program product (computer program product). The computer program product may be traded as a commodity between a seller and a buyer. The computer program product may be in the form of a device-readable storage medium (e.g., a compact disc read only memory (CD-ROM)), or may be in a form capable of passing through an application Store (e.g., a Play Store)TM) Are distributed over the network. In the case of distribution over the internet, at least a portion of the computer program product may be at least stored or temporarily generated on a storage medium such as a manufacturer's server, a server of an application store, or a relay server.
Also, although the foregoing has been shown and described with respect to the preferred embodiments of the present disclosure, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described specific embodiments, and it will be apparent that various modifications can be made by those having ordinary knowledge in the technical field to which the present disclosure pertains without departing from the gist of the present disclosure claimed in the claims, and such modified embodiments should not be construed independently of the technical idea or expectation of the present disclosure.
Claims (14)
1. An electronic device, comprising:
a rotatable display;
a motor for rotating the display;
a memory storing at least one command; and
a processor to control the electronic device to execute at least one command stored in the memory and to control the electronic device to operate in one of a landscape mode and a portrait mode,
wherein the processor:
control the display to display a user interface for setting a display mode for each of a plurality of operating modes,
storing information regarding a display mode corresponding to each of the at least one operation mode to the memory if a user input setting the display mode corresponding to at least one operation mode of the plurality of operation modes is received through the user interface,
controlling at least one of the display and the motor to cause the display to operate according to the information about the display mode corresponding to the first operation mode stored in the memory if a user input for operating in a first operation mode of the at least one operation mode is received.
2. The electronic device of claim 1,
the plurality of operation modes include an operation mode for turning on power of the display and an operation mode for turning off power of the display.
3. The electronic device of claim 2,
the processor:
controlling at least one of the display and the motor to operate in a display mode corresponding to an operation mode for turning on a power of the display if the power of the display is turned on.
4. The electronic device of claim 1,
the plurality of operation modes include an operation mode to run a first application, an operation mode to run a second application, and an operation mode to run a third application.
5. The electronic device of claim 1,
the user interface further includes information on each of the plurality of operation modes and at least one first icon for setting a display mode on each of the plurality of operation modes,
wherein the processor:
controlling the display to display a second icon for changing a display mode with respect to the first operation mode if a first icon corresponding to the first operation mode among the at least one first icon is selected,
storing information regarding a display mode corresponding to the first operation mode to the memory if a user input to set the display mode corresponding to the first operation mode is received through the second icon.
6. The electronic device of claim 1,
the processor:
if a user input for operating in a second operation mode of the at least one operation mode is received during operation in the first operation mode, controlling at least one of the display and the motor to cause the display to operate according to the information stored in the memory about the display mode corresponding to the second operation mode.
7. The electronic device of claim 6,
identifying whether a display mode corresponding to the first operation mode and a display mode corresponding to the second operation mode are the same if a user input for operating in the second operation mode is received,
controlling the display and a motor to rotate the display in a case where a display mode corresponding to the first operation mode and a display mode corresponding to the second operation mode are different,
controlling the display to not rotate the display in a case where a display mode corresponding to the first operation mode is the same as a display mode corresponding to the second operation mode.
8. A method of controlling an electronic device, comprising the steps of:
displaying a user interface for setting a display mode for each of a plurality of operation modes;
storing information about a display mode corresponding to each of the at least one operation mode if a user input to set a display mode corresponding to at least one operation mode of the plurality of operation modes is received through the user interface; and
if a user input for operating in a first operation mode of the at least one operation mode is received, controlling at least one of a display and a motor for rotating the display causes the display to operate according to pre-stored information about a display mode corresponding to the first operation mode.
9. The control method according to claim 8,
the plurality of operation modes include an operation mode for turning on power of the display and an operation mode for turning off power of the display.
10. The control method according to claim 8, further comprising the steps of:
controlling at least one of the display and the motor to operate in a display mode corresponding to an operation mode for turning on a power of the display if the power of the display is turned on.
11. The control method according to claim 8, further comprising the steps of:
the plurality of operation modes include an operation mode to run a first application, an operation mode to run a second application, and an operation mode to run a third application.
12. The control method according to claim 8, further comprising the steps of:
the user interface further includes information on each of the plurality of operation modes and at least one first icon for setting a display mode on each of the plurality of operation modes,
the step of storing comprises the steps of:
controlling the display to display a second icon for changing a display mode with respect to the first operation mode if a first icon corresponding to the first operation mode among the at least one first icon is selected; and
storing information about a display mode corresponding to the first operation mode if a user input to set the display mode corresponding to the first operation mode is received through the second icon.
13. The control method according to claim 8,
controlling at least one of the display and the motor to cause the display to operate according to pre-stored information about a display mode corresponding to a second operation mode of the at least one operation mode if a user input for operating in the second operation mode is received during operation in the first operation mode.
14. The control method according to claim 13, further comprising the steps of:
identifying whether a display mode corresponding to the first operation mode and a display mode corresponding to the second operation mode are the same if a user input for operating in the second operation mode is received;
controlling the display and a motor to rotate the display in a case where a display mode corresponding to the first operation mode and a display mode corresponding to the second operation mode are different; and
controlling the display to not rotate the display in a case where a display mode corresponding to the first operation mode is the same as a display mode corresponding to the second operation mode.
