Abstract
The invention discloses a picture and character comparison display method and device based on an electronic document, and relates to the technical field of computers. The method comprises the following steps: displaying the text description of the target object in a first display area of a display page of the electronic document, and displaying the picture of the target object in a second display area; acquiring a mouse click instruction, and determining and highlighting a first keyword associated with a first part in the text description through a preset association relation when the mouse click instruction triggers the first part of a target object in the picture; and when the mouse click instruction triggers a second keyword of the target object in the text description, determining a second part associated with the second keyword in the picture through the association relation and highlighting the second part. The method and the device are suitable for scenes needing the comparison and explanation of the images and the characters, and can enable the user to directly see the images of the parts corresponding to the keywords described by the characters, so that the learning cost of the user is reduced, the information acquisition efficiency of the user is improved, and the user experience is improved.

Background
At present, scenes needing to use both characters and pictures are usually displayed in a character and picture contrasting manner, for example, taking a product specification as an example, by adding a label of each part of a product in a character, adding a corresponding label at a corresponding position of the product in a contrasting picture, and associating a specific character description with a part of an image in the picture so as to enable a user to know the structure of the product.

Optionally, the image of each portion in the object may be disassembled, each portion is used as a different layer, and the different layers are overlaid together to be used as an overall image of the object.
The first part is any part of a target object in the picture, the second part is any part of the target object in the picture, the first keyword is any keyword of the target object in the text description, and the second keyword is any keyword of the target object in the text description.
For example, taking the case of highlighting a component on a webpage page through a tag, when performing layout development of the webpage, two display areas may be preset, and are respectively used for displaying a picture and a text description of a product, and then a keyword is associated and mapped with the tag added at the position of the corresponding component in the picture by calling a function or the like, thereby implementing contrast display.
