Description
本发明涉及热熔单组分密封剂组合物。本发明进一步涉及所述密封剂组合物作为中空玻璃(IG)结构(例如窗或门)中的第一道密封剂(primary sealant)的用途。最后,本发明涉及包含根据本发明的密封剂组合物作为第一道密封剂的中空玻璃结构或单元。
在中空玻璃(IG)密封剂市场中目前使用热熔单组分密封剂组合物来制造IG单元。
中空玻璃(IG)单元用于多种多样的应用,例如天窗、高温环境观察窗、建筑窗、冰箱门,仅举几例。IG单元通常用于减少例如建筑物内部与外部之间的热传递。
典型的IG单元由两块玻璃片(或玻璃板)形成,所述玻璃片(或玻璃板)在其边缘附近被具有基本矩形横截面的间隔件隔开,以便在两块玻璃片之间提供空腔。该空腔通常填充选定的绝缘气氛(例如氩气),以增强IG单元的绝缘特性。
密封剂系统用于将两块玻璃片与间隔件粘合。期望密封剂系统提供足够的结构强度以保持IG单元的一体性,并还提供足够的保护以防止绝缘气氛从空腔中漏出和/或防止IG单元外部的环境气氛中的湿气传递到空腔中。防止外部环境气氛传递到空腔中对于避免水在该单元内部冷凝到玻璃板内表面上的风险是重要的,该冷凝将对IG单元的透明度及其绝缘效率均有害。
IG单元的强度和性能极大依赖于用于将玻璃片固定到间隔件上的密封剂系统和密封剂类型。目前使用的大多数密封剂一般可分成两种主要类型:
- 边缘密封剂,和
- 低湿气渗透率(MVTR)密封剂。
边缘密封剂在玻璃片与间隔件之间形成粘合并促进IG单元的结构完整性。边缘密封剂的实例包括丁基橡胶和热固性材料,例如聚硫化物、聚氨酯和硅酮。这些材料具有适当的机械性质,特别是就它们的应力/应变关系而言相对高的“模量”。
但是,这些边缘密封剂通常提供不佳的MVTR特性,并且还提供相对高的气体透过率。因此,仅用常规的边缘密封剂制成的IG单元通常不提供商业上可接受的MVTR特性或气体保留性质。
另一方面,不那么有效粘附于玻璃片和/或间隔件的低MVTR密封剂提供与边缘密封剂相比改善的MVTR特性和改善的气体阻隔能力,但几乎不提供或不提供结构完整性。低MVTR密封剂的实例包括热塑性材料,例如热熔材料,特别是基于聚异丁烯(下面缩写为PIB)的组合物。
为了平衡(compensate)边缘密封剂和低MVTR密封剂的相对优点和缺点,用于IG单元的许多密封剂系统是“双道密封”系统,其具有两个单独或不同的密封剂区域:
-低MVTR密封剂(也称为“衬垫(gasket)”),其基本位于间隔件的每个侧面区域和两块玻璃片的相应内表面之间,也称为“第一道密封剂”,和
-边缘密封剂,其基本位于间隔件的外部(IG单元的外侧区域或外边缘)以将间隔件和两块玻璃片粘合在一起;所述密封剂也被称为“第二道密封剂(secondary sealant)”。
相对于基于(例如)双组分化学固化密封剂的其它技术,IG单元制造商喜欢使用热熔单组分密封剂组合物,因为它们没有固化机制并且易于施加。确实,不需要混合两种组分,不需要像在缓慢固化的双组分密封剂组合物中的暂存区(staging area),并且窗单元可在制造之后立即被操作和移动。
在IG单元的制造期间,热熔密封剂通常借助热熔泵和线性挤出机在140℃至250℃的温度下、优选在170℃至200℃的温度下、且更优选在180℃至195℃的温度下,例如通过使用任何合适的施加器,包括手持胶枪、挤出机、线性挤出机或自动化施加设备通过挤出施加到玻璃板的表面和/或间隔件的表面。
此外,因为热熔单组分密封剂组合物是非固化的并具有热塑性质,所以将它们施加到相关基底上而产生的粘合接头可能具有耐热性的问题,特别是对于在最终IG单元的运输和储存期间可能施加的高温(例如高达75℃)。存在的风险是,例如,在这样的温度下,由热熔组合物组成、例如由基于PIB的组合物组成的第一道密封剂在暴露于热时可能在两块透明玻璃板之间的空腔内流动和/或过度变形。这当然将对于IG单元的美观性和对于第一道密封剂对气体和湿气的阻隔效果均有害。
可能用作第一道密封剂并且市售可得的热熔单组分基于PIB的密封剂组合物包含无机填料,其通常选自许多材料,例如白垩、天然或重质或沉淀碳酸钙、碳酸钙镁、硅酸盐、滑石和炭黑。所述无机填料的含量基于密封剂的总重量计可为10重量%至60重量%、且优选15重量%至40重量%。
特别由于这种无机填料,这样的热熔单组分基于PIB的密封剂组合物是不透明的。
现在,作为使可向IG单元制造商提供的解决方案更丰富的方式,本发明的目标是提出热熔单组分基于PIB的密封剂组合物及其作为第一道密封剂的用途,其是透明的,同时确保适当的施加性能并产生具有可接受的耐热性的最终IG单元。
对这样的透明密封剂的需要源于对获得全透明IG单元的需要,其中间隔条也由透明材料如玻璃或聚合物(例如聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)或聚碳酸酯)组成。
本发明的另一目标是提出透明热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其通过在140℃至250℃、优选170℃至200℃、且更优选180℃至195℃的温度下运行的设备,特别是通过挤出设备提供良好的施加性能。
本发明的另一目标是提出透明热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其一旦用于IG单元,则提供具有改善的耐热性的粘合接头。
本发明的另一目标是提出透明热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其具有良好的气体和水分性质,包括良好的MVTR性质。
现在已经发现,借助作为本发明的主题的热熔单组分密封剂组合物,可以全部或部分实现上述目标。
根据本发明的第一目的,本申请涉及热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其特征在于其包含基于组合物的总重量计70重量%至99重量%、优选73%至99%的聚异丁烯。
已经令人惊讶地发现,所述密封剂组合物非常适合作为IG单元中的第一道密封剂,同时可产生可能用于透明IG单元的透明密封剂。
其确实具有低MVTR,且更确切地说,具有小于0.1 g/m2的MVTR。MVTR根据ASTME96-90来测定,该测试在23℃和92%相对湿度下在具有2 mm厚度的密封剂膜上进行。
此外,根据本发明的密封剂组合物由于其流动性质,也非常适合其借助常规的施加设备通过挤出施加到玻璃板的表面和/或间隔件的表面。通过大于10 g/10 min、优选处于10 g/10 min至70 g/10 min范围内的熔体流动指数(MFI)值来评估这样的适合性。根据ASTM D1238在190℃下和针对2.16 kg的重量测定MFI。
最后,根据本发明的密封剂组合物有利地还具有相对于包含无机填料的已知基于PIB的密封剂组合物而言至少一样令人满意且甚至改善的耐热性。通过根据ASTM D-36也称为环球法使用硅酮油作为介质测量软化点来评估耐热性。本发明密封剂组合物的软化点大于90℃、并优选介于100℃和150℃之间。
PIB以及任何可能的其它成分在根据本发明的密封剂组合物中的含量以重量百分比给出,并且相对于根据本发明的热熔密封剂组合物的总重量表示。
PIB是广泛市售可得的,特别是以例如OPPANOL® B15N、OPPANOL® B12、OPPANOL®B12N、OPPANOL® N50或GLISSOPAL® V1500或GLISSOPAL® V640之类的各种等级得自BASF。
优选地,根据本发明的组合物包含具有不同分子量的几种等级的PIB。
根据一种实施方案,本发明的基于PIB的密封剂组合物进一步包含热塑性聚合物,其选自聚烯烃(polyalkylene)(例如聚乙烯、聚丙烯和聚丁烯);聚α-烯烃聚合物,包括例如脂族单-1-烯烃(α烯烃)的均聚物、共聚物和三元共聚物(例如C2至C10聚(α)烯烃);具有至少一种C3至C20 α烯烃的乙烯的均质线型或基本线型的互聚物;聚(环氧烷);聚(对苯二甲酰苯二胺)(poly(phenylenediamine terephthalamide));聚酯(例如聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯);聚丙烯酸酯;聚甲基丙烯酸酯;聚丙烯酰胺;聚丙烯腈;丙烯腈和包括例如丁二烯、苯乙烯、聚甲基戊烯和聚苯硫醚的单体的共聚物(例如苯乙烯-丙烯腈、丙烯腈-丁二烯-苯乙烯、丙烯腈-苯乙烯-丁二烯橡胶);聚酰亚胺;聚酰胺;乙烯醇和烯键式不饱和单体的共聚物;聚乙酸乙烯酯(例如乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯);聚乙烯醇;氯乙烯均聚物和共聚物(例如聚氯乙烯);乙烯、一氧化碳和丙烯酸酯或乙烯基单体的三元共聚物;聚硅氧烷;聚氨酯;聚苯乙烯、及其组合,及其均聚物、共聚物和三元共聚物,及其混合物。其它可用种类的热塑性聚合物包括柏油(asphalt)、沥青(bitumen)、生橡胶、氟化橡胶和纤维素树脂。
根据优选的实施方案,热塑性聚合物选自非晶聚α-烯烃聚合物,并优选基于丙烯的聚合物(选自丙烯均聚物或丙烯与一种或更多种C2至C10 α-烯烃共聚单体的共聚物)、乙烯和乙酸乙烯酯的共聚物、乙烯和丙烯酸乙酯的共聚物、乙烯和丙烯酸的共聚物、聚乙烯、聚丙烯、聚酰胺、苯乙烯-丁二烯-苯乙烯和苯乙烯-异戊二烯-苯乙烯嵌段共聚物、及其混合物。
根据本发明的密封剂组合物可有利地包含基于密封剂组合物的总重量计0.5重量%至10重量%、并优选1%至5%的热塑性聚合物。
根据另一实施方案,本发明的基于PIB的密封剂组合物进一步包含透明增粘树脂,其选自以下种类:
(a)天然和改性松香,如,例如脂松香、木松香、妥尔油松香、蒸馏松香、氢化松香、二聚松香和聚合松香;
(b)天然和改性松香的甘油酯和季戊四醇酯,如,例如浅色木松香(pale woodrosin)的甘油酯、氢化松香的甘油酯、聚合松香的甘油酯、浅色木松香的季戊四醇酯、氢化松香的季戊四醇酯、妥尔油松香的季戊四醇酯和酚醛改性的松香季戊四醇酯;

根据优选的实施方案,增粘树脂属于(e)或(g)类。
根据另一优选实施方案,增粘树脂不包含碳-碳双键。在该后一情况下,饱和增粘树脂可通过不饱和增粘树脂的完全氢化来制备。
根据另一优选实施方案,增粘树脂具有大于90℃、优选介于100℃和140℃之间的软化点。
增粘树脂容易市售可得。作为实例,可提到来自KOLON的SUKOREZ® SU-525,其是由C5烃单体的聚合产生的具有大约125℃的R&B的氢化脂环族树脂。
增粘树脂优选以基于根据本发明的密封剂组合物的总重量计5重量%至50重量%、并优选10重量%至35重量%的量存在于该密封剂组合物中。
根据一种实施方案,本发明的基于PIB的密封剂组合物进一步包含抗氧化稳定剂,以在加工和储存期间保护根据本发明的密封剂组合物免受由热、光、UV辐射引起的降解。可使用几种类型的抗氧化剂,要么是主抗氧化剂,如受阻酚,要么是助抗氧化剂,如亚磷酸酯衍生物或其共混物。在商品中,可使用来自BASF的Irganox® 1010和来自VERTELLUS的Topanol® O。
抗氧化稳定剂优选以基于密封剂组合物的总重量计0.05重量%至3重量%、优选0.1%至1%的量存在。
根据本发明的密封剂组合物还可包括基于密封剂组合物的总重量计0.1重量%至2重量%、优选0.1%至1%的量的选自基于环氧的硅烷和基于氨基的硅烷的助粘剂。在可能的商业助粘剂中,可提到来自Momentive的Silquest® A187。
根据本发明的密封剂组合物可最后包括少量的其它添加剂,例如UV吸收剂、蜡、润滑剂、催化剂、流变改性剂、杀生物剂、腐蚀抑制剂、脱水剂、表面活性剂、成核剂、阻燃剂、及其组合。此类少量的典型范围介于0.1重量%和2重量%之间。
根据特别优选的实施方案,根据本发明的密封剂组合物包含以下组分、并优选基本由以下组分组成:

- 90重量%至99重量%、优选95%至99%的聚异丁烯;和
- 1重量%至10重量%、优选1%至5%的乙烯和乙酸乙烯酯的共聚物。
根据另一特别优选的实施方案,根据本发明的密封剂组合物包含以下组分、并优选基本由以下组分组成:
基于密封剂组合物的总重量计,
- 70重量%至80重量%、优选73%至78%的聚异丁烯;和
- 20重量%至30重量%、优选22%至27%的例如先前定义的增粘树脂。
用于制备根据本发明的密封剂组合物的方法包括:
-在混合装置中加入一部分PIB、一部分热塑性聚合物或增粘树脂(当存在时)、抗氧化稳定剂,
-将混合装置的内容物在真空下加热到介于100℃和160℃之间、并优选大于120℃的温度,然后
-加入一部分热塑性聚合物或增粘树脂、混合直至混合物均匀,之后加入剩余的热塑性聚合物(或增粘树脂)和PIB,以及可能的助粘剂。
将该混合物在真空下在相同温度下保持1至2小时,直至成分熔融并均匀共混。
根据本发明的第二目的,本申请涉及根据本发明的热熔单组分密封剂组合物作为IG单元(例如窗或门)的制造过程中的第一道密封剂(或衬垫)的用途。

参考图1,IG单元(1)具有第一玻璃板(pane)(11),其具有内表面(21)和外表面(31)。第一玻璃板(11)与也具有内表面(22)和外表面(32)的第二玻璃板(12)隔开。这两块玻璃板(11)和(12)可为IG单元领域中通常使用的任何透明材料,例如透明浮法玻璃。
第一玻璃板(11)的内表面(21)面向第二玻璃板(12)的内表面(22),且内表面(21)和(22)被间隔件(3)隔开,间隔件(3)通过密封剂系统(5)附着(即粘结)到这两块玻璃板(11)和(12)上。
间隔件(3)可为IG单元领域中使用的任何类型,例如常规的刚性间隔件,其具有基本矩形的横截面。在图1中所示但不应被认为限制本发明的例示性实施方案中,间隔件(3)被描绘为具有基底(31)和从基底(31)延伸出的第一侧面(32)和第二侧面(33)。每个侧面(32)、(33)包括面向各自相邻的玻璃板(11)、(12)的内表面(21)、(22)的外表面(42)、(43)。
两块玻璃板(11)和(12)和间隔件(3)在两块玻璃板(11)和(12)之间界定空腔(4)或“死区”。空腔(4)可填充绝缘气氛,例如空气或氩气或氪气。
优选地,根据本发明的IG单元中所含的间隔件(3)具有基本矩形的横截面。
根据本发明的密封剂组合物用于双道密封系统(5),其具有两个单独或不同的区域:外部或第二道密封剂(52)和内部或第一道密封剂(51),其中根据本发明的密封剂组合物用于形成第一道密封剂(51)。
第一道密封剂(51)主要位于间隔件(3)的侧面区域,即大部分密封剂位于每个侧面(32)、(33)的外表面(42)、(43)与各自相邻的玻璃板(11)、(12)的内表面(21)、(22)之间。
第二道密封剂(52)优选横跨间隔件(3)的外部的宽度(外侧区域),例如横跨由间隔件(3)的基底(31)的外表面与玻璃板(11)和(12)的内表面(21)和(22)的外边缘形成的周边凹槽。
密封剂(51)、(52)可为任何合适的尺寸以将玻璃板(11)、(12)粘合到间隔件(3)上。
根据优选的实施方案,第二道密封剂(52)是常规的边缘密封剂,例如常规的热固性密封剂材料。例如,第二道密封剂(52)可包含一种或更多种如本领域中已知的常规的基于硅酮、聚氨酯、聚硫化物或丁基橡胶的边缘密封剂材料。
根据本发明的密封剂组合物可通过热熔泵和线性挤出机在140℃至250℃的温度下、优选在170℃至200℃的温度下、且更优选在180℃至195℃的温度下,例如通过使用任何合适的施加器,包括手持胶枪、挤出机、线性挤出机、其它形式的挤出机头(extruderbead)、自动化施加设备及其组合,作为第一道密封剂施加到玻璃板的表面。
以下实施例仅作为本发明的例示给出,并且在任何情况下都不应被解释为限制其范围。
实施例中所用的试验程序如下:
湿气渗透率(MVTR):
根据ASTM E96-90测定MVTR。在23℃和92%相对湿度下在具有2 mm厚度的密封剂膜上进行该试验。将所述膜密封到含有干燥剂的试验皿的开口。将该组装件置于受控气氛中。定期称重测定湿气移动通过密封剂膜进入干燥剂中的比率。
熔体流动指数(MFI):
根据ASTM D1238测定MFI。MFI是在具有2.16 kg总重量的加载活塞施加的压力的作用下,在10分钟内流过具有固定直径的模头的(预先置于垂直圆筒中的)组合物的重量。
软化点:
通过根据ASTM D-36的环球法使用硅酮油作为介质来测定软化点,该方法的原理如下。在直径大约2 cm的黄铜环中填充熔融状态的受试树脂。在冷却到室温后,将该环和固体树脂水平放置在恒温甘油浴中,其温度每分钟可变化5℃。将直径大约9.5 mm的钢球放在固体树脂盘的中心。软化温度是在浴温以5℃/min的速率升高期间,使得树脂盘在球的重量下流动25.4 mm的量的温度。
实施例中所用的原材料列在表1中:
实施例A(参比):包含无机填料的基于PIB的密封剂组合物
如下制备表1中的实施例A的组合物。
在混合装置中加入一部分PIB和抗氧化稳定剂,并加热到介于100℃和160℃之间的温度。然后将炭黑加入混合装置中,将该混合装置的内容物在真空下混合直至混合物均匀,之后加入剩余的PIB、重质碳酸钙和蜡。
将该混合物在真空下在相同温度下保持大约30 min至1 h的时间段,直至成分熔融并均匀共混。
这种组合物是不透明的。
根据如上所述的熔体流动指数、软化点和MVTR试验对其进行测试。
结果在表1中给出。

Claims (13)
1.热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其特征在于其包含基于所述组合物的总重量计70重量%至99重量%、优选73%至99%的聚异丁烯。
2.根据权利要求1的热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其特征在于其进一步包含热塑性聚合物,选自聚烯烃、聚α-烯烃聚合物、聚(环氧烷)、聚(对苯二甲酰苯二胺)、聚酯、聚丙烯酸酯、聚甲基丙烯酸酯、聚丙烯酰胺、聚丙烯腈、丙烯腈的共聚物、聚酰亚胺、聚酰胺、乙烯醇和烯键式不饱和单体的共聚物、聚乙酸乙烯酯、聚乙烯醇、氯乙烯均聚物和共聚物、乙烯、一氧化碳和丙烯酸酯或乙烯基单体的三元共聚物、聚硅氧烷、聚氨酯、聚苯乙烯。
3.根据权利要求2的热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其特征在于所述热塑性聚合物是乙烯和乙酸乙烯酯的共聚物。
4.根据权利要求2或3中任一项的热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其特征在于其包含基于所述密封剂组合物的总重量计0.5重量%至10重量%、并优选1%至5%的所述热塑性聚合物。
5.根据权利要求1至4中任一项的热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其特征在于其进一步包含透明增粘树脂,选自以下种类:
(a)天然和改性松香;
(b)天然和改性松香的甘油酯和季戊四醇酯;
(c)聚萜树脂;
(d)酚醛改性的萜烯树脂;
(e)具有大约60℃至140℃的环球软化点的脂族石油烃树脂(C5),所述树脂由C5烃单体的聚合产生;和由其随后的完全或部分氢化产生的相应氢化衍生物;
(f)具有大约60℃至140℃的环球软化点的芳族石油烃树脂(C9),所述树脂由C9烃单体的聚合产生;和由其随后的完全或部分氢化产生的相应氢化衍生物;
(g)具有大约60℃至140℃的环球软化点的脂族和/或芳族石油树脂(C5/C9),所述树脂由C5/C9烃单体的聚合产生;和由其随后的完全或部分氢化产生的相应氢化衍生物。
6.根据权利要求5的热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其特征在于其包含基于所述密封剂组合物的总重量计5重量%至50重量%、并优选10%至35%的所述增粘树脂。
7.根据权利要求1至6中任一项的热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其特征在于其进一步包含基于所述密封剂组合物的总重量计优选0.05重量%至3重量%的量的抗氧化稳定剂。
8.根据权利要求1至7中任一项的热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其特征在于其进一步包含基于所述密封剂组合物的总重量计优选0.1重量%至2重量%的量的选自基于环氧的硅烷和基于氨基的硅烷的助粘剂。
9.根据权利要求1至4中任一项的热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其特征在于其包含以下组分、并优选基本由以下组分组成:
基于所述密封剂组合物的总重量计,
- 90%至99%的聚异丁烯;和
- 1%至10%的乙烯和乙酸乙烯酯的共聚物。
10.根据权利要求5或6中任一项的热熔单组分密封剂组合物,其特征在于其包含以下组分、并优选基本由以下组分组成:
基于所述密封剂组合物的总重量计,
- 70重量%至80重量%的聚异丁烯;和
- 20重量%至30重量%的所述增粘树脂。
11.例如权利要求1至10中任一项所定义的热熔单组分密封剂组合物作为中空玻璃单元的制造过程中的第一道密封剂的用途。
12.中空玻璃单元(1),其包含:
-第一玻璃板(11),
-第二玻璃板(12),
-位于所述第一玻璃板(11)的内表面(21)和所述第二玻璃板(12)的内表面(22)之间的间隔件(3),和
-用于将所述玻璃板(11)、(12)的所述内表面(21)、(22)粘合到所述间隔件(3)上的密封剂系统(5),其包含位于所述间隔件(3)的侧面区域(32)、(33)的第一道密封剂(51)和位于所述间隔件(3)的外侧区域的第二道密封剂(52),
其特征在于所述第一道密封剂(51)由例如权利要求1至10中任一项所定义的热熔单组分密封剂组合物组成。
13.根据权利要求12的中空玻璃单元(1),其特征在于所述间隔件(3)具有基本矩形的横截面。
