Abstract

Background
In the joining of hull components, toggle plates are used very widely. The toggle plate is additionally arranged, so that the nodes can be connected more firmly. The toggle plate can play the role of a gusset plate, reduce stress concentration at the corner joint of the beam and reduce the deformation and bending moment of the beam. The specification of the beam can be reduced under the same load. In order to ensure the stability of the toggle plate, the specifications provide: the toggle plate at the end part of the main component is provided with a folded edge or a panel; when the free edge of the toggle plate at the end of the secondary member is 40 times larger than the plate thickness, the toggle plate should have a folded edge or a panel.

and S5, chamfering the corners of the toggle plate at the area parts of the first marking line 2 and the second marking line.
The circle center of a crack arrest circular arc 4 is determined by extending a set distance along the direction of a reserved elbow root 1 by two reserved root points 11 on two sides of a toggle plate, the two circle centers are linearly connected to form a toggle plate corner pressing line 3, the crack arrest circular arc 4 is processed on the toggle plate, and because the tangent of the intersection point between the toggle plate corner pressing line 3 and the crack arrest circular arc 4 is perpendicular to the toggle plate corner pressing line 3, stress concentration is reduced, the two ends of the toggle plate corner pressing line 3 are in smooth transition, the stress concentration in the toggle plate pressing process is further reduced by beveling the corners of the first marking line 2 and the second marking line area, cracks at the edge folding part can be eliminated in the toggle plate pressing process, and the quality of the toggle plate is ensured.

6. A method of eliminating hemming toggle plate corner pressing cracks according to claim 1 wherein the set distance is 15 mm.
7. A method for eliminating creasing and corner cracking in flanged elbow as claimed in claim 1, wherein in step S3, the arcs on both sides of the crack arrest arc (4) are each chamfered by 45 °.
