It is understood that the terminal device includes, but is not limited to, a mobile phone capable of supporting dual-radio under two LTE networks, such as a smart bracelet and a tablet computer capable of supporting dual-radio.
Taking the example where the terminal device comprises a handset supporting dual-transceiving, the handset may further comprise a memory, which is connected to the processor 101. The memory may be used to store computer programs, such as an operating system that enables the handset to operate, including but not limited toOperating system orAn operating system; for another example, an application program required for supporting the mobile phone to implement various functions (such as a sound playing function, an image playing function, and the like) of the mobile phone is stored. The touch panel can comprise two parts, namely a touch detection device and a touch controller; the touch detection device detects the touch direction of a user, detects a signal brought by touch operation and transmits the signal to the touch controller; the touch controller receives touch information from the touch detection device, converts the touch information into touch point coordinates, sends the touch point coordinates to the processor 110, and can receive and execute instructions sent by the processor 110.
The mobile phone may further include a display, which may be connected to the processor 110 through a display controller, and the display may display information input by a user or information provided to the user under the control of the display controller, such as a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for carrying various operation menus of the mobile phone, and a graphical user interface for carrying incoming call information. The display may include a display panel disposed on a front surface of the mobile phone, and the display panel may include a liquid crystal display or a display configured based on an organic light emitting diode.

Specifically, the light sensor may include an ambient light sensor and a proximity light sensor, wherein the ambient light sensor may adjust the brightness of the display panel according to the brightness of ambient light, the proximity light sensor is disposed on the front surface of the mobile phone, and when the mobile phone moves to the ear, the mobile phone turns off the power supply of the display panel according to the detection of the proximity light sensor, so that the mobile phone may further save electric power. As one of the motion sensors, the accelerometer sensor can detect the magnitude of acceleration in each direction (generally three axes), can detect the magnitude and direction of gravity when stationary, and can be used for applications of recognizing the gesture of a mobile phone (such as horizontal and vertical screen conversion, related games, magnetometer gesture calibration), vibration recognition related functions (such as pedometer and tapping) and the like; as for other sensors such as a gyroscope, a barometer, a hygrometer, a thermometer, and an infrared sensor, which can be configured on the mobile phone, further description is omitted here.

The power module may be connected to the processor 101 through a power management system, so as to implement functions of managing charging, discharging, power consumption of the mobile phone, and the like through the power management system. The power module can also be used for supplying power to the display panel, the touch panel and the processor.
It is understood that the mobile phone may further include other components for supporting the mobile phone to implement specific functions, and further description of the other components that the mobile phone may further include is omitted here.
In the embodiment of the application, the terminal device performs voice service based on VOLTE related to the first SIM card or the second SIM card, which means that the terminal device performs voice call based on VOLTE with other terminal devices through the first SIM card or the second SIM card under the operation of a user.
In the embodiment of the application, when the terminal device performs the VOLTE-based first voice service through one of the SIM cards, not only TX needs to be occupied to send one or more voice data packets, but also a radio frequency receiving path RX1 is occupied to receive one or more voice data packets; it may also be necessary to involve the TX sending one or more signaling packets, such as a Scheduling Request (SR) packet, an Acknowledgement (ACK) packet, a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) packet, a response packet, and one of the RX1 receiving one or more signaling packets related to the first voice service.
The voice data packet is a data packet which is generated in the process of carrying out voice service and contains voice data; the service data packet refers to a data packet containing service data, which interacts with the application server or the electronic device providing the specific service when the terminal device accesses the application server or the electronic device providing the specific service.
In this embodiment, a specific process of the terminal device responding to the connection request may require the terminal device to perform one or more information interactions with one or more devices located on the network side, which will be exemplarily described in subsequent embodiments.
In this embodiment, if the terminal device is in a dormant state (RCC idle state or inactive state), the terminal device may generally reside in a cell managed by a base station of a 5G network through a first SIM card, in a cell managed by a base station of a first LTE network through the first SIM card, and in a cell managed by a base station of a second LTE network through a second SIM card. At this time, the terminal device may enter the non-sleep state by receiving a paging request related to the first SIM card from the 5G network through RXn, or receiving a paging request related to the first SIM card from the first LTE network through RX1, or receiving a paging request related to the second SIM card from the second LTE network through RX 2. It can be understood that the paging request received by the terminal device may trigger the terminal device to establish an RRC connection with the network device of the 5G network, the first LTE network, or the second LTE network through the first SIM card or the second SIM card, so that the terminal device enters a non-dormant state (RCC connected state). When the terminal equipment is in a non-dormant state, the terminal equipment can be preferentially connected with the 5G network through the first SIM card, so that a user can carry out data service through the 5G network; that is, in the case where the terminal device is connected to the 5G network through the first SIM card, the terminal device may not necessarily be connected to the first LTE network through the first SIM card. It should be noted that, the terminal device is connected to the 5G network through the first SIM card, including but not limited to establishing an RRC connection between the terminal device and a base station of the 5G network through the first SIM card, for example, it may also include establishing a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session between the terminal device and one or more User Plane Function (UPF) entities of the 5G network based on the RRC connection that has been established between the terminal device and the network device of the 5G network, so that the terminal device can access the internet through the 5G network.
In summary, when the terminal device needs to perform the first voice service during the process of using the terminal device by the user, the terminal device is often connected to the 5G network via the first SIM card, that is, the RRC connection between the terminal device and the 5G network is established and activated via the first SIM card and connected to the second LTE network via the second SIM card.
In this embodiment of the application, the networking modes of the 5G network and the first LTE network may be independent networking. When the 5G network and the first LTE network are networked independently, the terminal device may access the 5G network or the first LTE network through the first SIM card, that is, the terminal device may maintain an RRC connection with a network device (such as a base station) of the 5G network or with a network device of the first LTE network through the first SIM card.
In this embodiment of the application, the networking modes of the 5G network and the first LTE network may also be non-independent networking. When the 5G network and the first LTE network are non-independent networks, the 5G network and the first LTE network may have the same core network, that is, a radio access Network (NR) of the 5G network may be connected to the same core network as a radio access network (ran) of the first LTE network, such as to a 5G core network (5GC) or an Evolved Packet Core (EPC). At this time, a second base station included in the radio access network of the first LTE network may serve as a primary base station, a first base station included in the radio access network of the 5G network may serve as a secondary base station, and the primary base station and the secondary base station maintain Dual Connectivity (DC); the auxiliary base station does not need to interact RRC signaling with the terminal equipment, only needs to interact RRC signaling between the main base station and the terminal equipment, and the terminal equipment can know the access information distributed by the auxiliary base station and the access information distributed by the main base station, so that the terminal equipment can be kept in RRC connection with the main base station and the auxiliary base station through the first SIM card, namely, the terminal equipment is connected to the 5G network and the first LTE network simultaneously.
Accordingly, in the embodiment of the present application, the terminal device disconnects from the 5G network and is connected to the first LTE network through the first SIM card, which essentially means that the RRC connection established between the terminal device and the network device (such as a base station) of the 5G network through the first SIM card is no longer maintained, but the RRC connection related to the first SIM card is ensured to exist between the terminal device and the first LTE network. How the terminal device disconnects from the 5G network and connects to the first LTE network through the first SIM card will be exemplarily described in the subsequent embodiments.
An application scenario to which the embodiment of the present application may be applied is exemplarily described below with reference to fig. 2. As shown in fig. 2, the terminal device 10 used by the user a may be a handset capable of supporting dual-transceiving under two LTE networks, and the terminal device 10 may be installed with a first SIM card and a second SIM card; the first SIM card may be a pre-designated primary card for supporting the terminal device 10 to perform data services, the second SIM card may be a pre-designated secondary card, and the terminal device 10 may be connected to the 5G network through the first SIM card to support the terminal device 10 to perform data services, that is, the first SIM card maintains RRC connection with the base station 401 of the 5G network; at this time, the terminal device 10 may reside in a cell managed by the base station of the second LTE network through the second SIM card, or the terminal device may have established an RRC connection with the cell managed by the base station of the second LTE network through the second SIM card.
When the user a needs to use the terminal device 10 to perform voice service with the terminal device 30 used by the user C, the terminal device 10 disconnects the connection with the 5G network and connects to the first LTE network, that is, the RRC connection between the terminal device 10 and the base station 401 is no longer maintained, and an RRC connection is established or activated with one base station 501 of the first LTE network; then, the terminal device 10 can perform the first voice service based on VOLTE with respect to the first SIM card with the terminal device 30 through the first LTE network including the base station 501 and the base station 502.
In the process that the terminal device 10 performs the first voice service, the terminal device 10 is simultaneously connected to two LTE networks meeting the LTE network standard through the first SIM card and the second SIM card; when the terminal device 20 used by the user B needs to perform a voice service related to the second SIM card with the terminal device 10 used by the user a, the terminal device 20 may send an INVITE message for requesting the terminal device 10 to perform the voice service through the base station 602 with which the RRC connection is established; at this time, the terminal device 10 sends a connection request (for example, a paging request or an INVITE message) to the terminal device 10 through the base station 601; the terminal device 10 may respond to the received connection request by occupying the radio frequency transmission path TX of the terminal device 10 in a time-sharing manner, for example, establishing an RRC connection and further interacting a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) signaling between the second SIM card and the base station 601 of the second LTE network; the network device 10 may then receive incoming call information from the second LTE network regarding the second voice service.
It is understood that the service scenario shown in fig. 2 is only an example, for example, the first voice service based on VOLTE may also be a voice service related to the second SIM card; at this time, the terminal device is simultaneously connected to the first LTE network and the second LTE network through the first SIM card and the second SIM card. When the terminal device 30 needs to perform the second voice service related to the first SIM card with the terminal device 10, the base station 501 may directly send an INVITE message to the terminal device 10 instead of the paging request, where the INVITE message received by the terminal device 10 is a connection request for requesting the terminal device to perform the voice service related to the first SIM card.
In summary, according to the technical solution provided in the embodiment of the present application, when a terminal device needs to perform a first voice service related to one of the SIM cards, the terminal device actively disconnects from the 5G network and connects to a first LTE network through the first SIM card; in this way, when receiving a connection request from the second LTE network, the terminal device is located in two LTE networks meeting the LTE network system, and the terminal device can respond to the connection request for requesting the terminal device to perform the second voice service related to the other SIM card by occupying the radio frequency transmission path in a time-sharing manner during the process of performing the first voice service related to one SIM card, so that the terminal device receives and provides the incoming call information related to the other SIM card to the user.
It can be understood that after the terminal device responds to the connection request, the user can perform corresponding operations on the terminal device to select the second voice service and terminate the first voice service, that is, to answer an incoming call related to another SIM card and end the first voice service; or corresponding operation is carried out on the terminal equipment to refuse to carry out the second voice service. The user can know the incoming call information related to the other SIM card in the process of using one SIM card for conversation, and can select whether to answer the incoming call related to the other SIM card or not by operating the terminal equipment, so that the user experience is better.
It can be understood that VOLTE is a voice over IP solution applied to LTE networks, and can support voice traffic and data traffic concurrency. Generally, the first SIM card may be set as a main card for supporting the terminal device to perform data services, and after the terminal device is connected to the first LTE network through the first SIM card, the terminal device may perform corresponding data services through the first LTE network regardless of whether the terminal device performs voice services related to the first SIM card.
The technical solutions of the embodiments of the present application are described in more detail below.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart of a communication method provided in an embodiment of the present application. The communication method can be applied to the terminal equipment 10 shown in fig. 1 and fig. 2, the terminal equipment 10 includes a first radio frequency receiving path RX1, a second radio frequency receiving path RX2 and a first radio frequency transmitting path TX, the terminal equipment further includes a first SIM card interface 103 and a second SIM card interface 104, the first SIM card interface 103 is used for communicating with a first SIM card, the second SIM card interface 104 is used for communicating with a second SIM card, and the terminal equipment 10 is connected to a 5G network through the first SIM card. As shown in fig. 3, the communication method may include at least the following steps 31 to 35.
First, in step 31, when the terminal device needs to perform a first voice service, the terminal device is disconnected from the 5G network and connected to a first LTE network through the first SIM card.
Here, the first voice service may be related to the first SIM card or to the second SIM card.
In a possible implementation, the first voice service may be a voice service actively initiated by the terminal device under the operation of the user, that is, the terminal device may disconnect the terminal device from the 5G network in response to a request operation of the user for the first voice service, and connect to the first LTE network through the first SIM card.
In another possible implementation, the first voice service may be a voice service initiated by another device to the terminal device, that is, the terminal device may disconnect the terminal device from the 5G network and connect to the first LTE network through the first SIM card when receiving a connection request for requesting the terminal device to perform the first voice service.
In a more specific example, the terminal device may disconnect the terminal device from the 5G network and connect to the first LTE network through the first SIM card when receiving an INVITE message requesting the terminal device to perform the first voice service.
In a more specific example, the INVITE message may be from the 5G network or the first LET network. When the INVITE message is from the 5G network, the INVITE message may be used to request the terminal device to perform a first voice service based on a 5G voice bearer (VONR); when the INVITE message is from the first LTE network, the INVITE message may be used to request the terminal device to perform the first voice service based on the epsfb (evolved packet system fallback), or used to request the terminal device to perform the first voice service based on the VOLTE.
In this embodiment of the application, the terminal device may disconnect the connection between the terminal device and the 5G network and connect to the first LTE network through the first SIM card by using at least any one of the following various implementation manners.
In implementation 1, referring to fig. 4, the networking mode of the 5G network and the first LTE network is non-independent networking, the 5G network and the first LTE network may share the EPC of the first LTE network or the 5GC of the 5G network, one base station eNB included in the radio access network of the first LTE network may serve as a main base station, and one base station gNB included in the radio access network of the 5G network may serve as an auxiliary base station. each cell covered by the eNB forms a main cell group, each cell covered by the gNB forms an auxiliary cell group, and the eNB and the gNB are in double linkage. The terminal device 10 may interact RRC signaling with the eNB, so that the terminal device 10 simultaneously establishes an RRC connection with the gNB and the eNB, and may interact voice data packets and service data packets with the RRC established between the terminal device 10 and the gNB.
Accordingly, in the case that the terminal device 10 and the first LTE network, 5G network satisfy the system framework shown in fig. 4, as shown in fig. 5, the terminal device 10 may be disconnected from the 5G network and connected to the first LTE network through the first SIM card by the following steps 51 to 59.
In step 51, the terminal device 10 sends an SCG failure signaling to the eNB of the first LTE network.
In step 53, the eNB of the first LTE network sends an SCG failure message related to the terminal device 10 to the gNB of the 5G network in response to the SCG failure signaling.
In step 55, the gNB of the 5G network releases the RRC connection established between itself and the terminal device 10 in response to the SCG failure message.
And 57, the gNB of the 5G network sends response information to the eNB of the first LTE network.
In step 59, the eNB of the first LTE network transmits an RRC release message to the terminal device 10 in response to the response information.
Wherein the RRC release message is used to instruct the terminal device 10 to perform voice service and/or data service related to the first SIM card based on the RRC connection between the eNB of the first LTE network and the terminal device 10. That is, the terminal device may receive and/or transmit the voice data packet related to the first voice service and the service data packet related to the data service through the RRC connection related to the first SIM card established between the terminal device and the eNB of the first LTE network in a subsequent procedure under the instruction of the RRC release message.
In implementation manner 2, regardless of whether the first LTE network and the 5G network are independently networked, the base station used for accessing the terminal device 10 in the NR of the 5G network may be connected to the base station used for accessing the terminal device 10 in the first LTE network. Accordingly, as shown in fig. 6, the terminal device may be disconnected from the 5G network and connected to the first LTE network through the first SIM card through the following steps 61 to 66.
In step 61, the terminal device 10 sends a signal measurement report to the first base station of the 5G network.
The first base station is a base station in the 5G network, which establishes an RRC connection with the terminal device 10.
The signal measurement report is at least used for indicating that the signal quality of the first base station relative to the terminal equipment does not meet a preset condition.
Wherein the signal measurement report may also be used to indicate that the signal quality of the second base station of the first LTE network with respect to the terminal device 10 satisfies a preset condition.
Step 62, the first base station of the 5G network sends a request message to the second base station of the first LTE network.
Wherein the request message is used to request handover of the terminal device 10 to a second base station of the first LTE network.
It can be understood that the access request may further include related information of the first SIM card, so that when the terminal device sends the confirmation message to the second base station in the subsequent process, it is known whether the terminal device 10 sending the confirmation message is the terminal device 10 allowed to be accessed by the second base station.
And step 63, the second base station of the first LTE network responds to the request message and sends the access information to the first base station of the 5G network.
The access information includes information required for the terminal device to access the second base station, such as relevant parameters of a dedicated channel allocated to the terminal device by the second base station.
Step 64, the first base station of the 5G network sends a handover command to the terminal device 10.
Wherein the handover command includes access information.
In step 65, the terminal device 10 responds to the switching instruction, and updates the access information related to the first SIM card stored in the terminal device 10 by using the access information included in the switching instruction.
Step 66, the terminal device sends a confirmation message to the second base station of the first LTE network based on the updated access information.
The confirmation message may carry related information of the first SIM card, so that when the first LTE network receives the confirmation message, it is known that the terminal device is successfully switched to the second base station, that is, it is known that the terminal device has completed establishing RRC connection with the second base station.
In implementation 2, the terminal device 10 can quickly access the first LTE network without competing for resources of the first LTE network with other terminal devices.
Implementation mode 3: the terminal equipment is disconnected from the 5G network by reselecting the PLMN, and is connected to the first LTE network through the first SIM card. Namely, the terminal device actively releases the established RRC connection with the 5G network, and actively requests and completes establishment of the RRC connection with the first LTE network.
Next, in step 33, when the first voice service is associated with the first SIM card, the first voice service based on VOLTE is performed through the first LTE network, and a first connection request from the second LTE network is received.
Wherein, the first voice service may occupy the first radio frequency receiving path RX1 and the first radio frequency transmitting path TX, and the terminal device may receive a connection request from the second LTE network through the second radio frequency receiving path RX2, where the connection request is used to request the terminal device 10 to perform the second voice service based on VOLTE, the second voice service is associated with the second SIM card, and the connection request may be a paging request or an INVITE message.
Then, in step 35, the first connection request is responded during the first voice service by occupying the radio frequency transmission path in a time-sharing manner.
Specifically, taking the first voice service associated with the first SIM card and the first LTE network being a Time Division Duplex (TDD) LTE network as an example, it may have various slot configurations as shown in table 1 below.
TABLE 1
As shown in table 1, the TDD-LTE network may include a plurality of slot allocations (UL-DL allocations). In 7 types of UL-DL configurations shown in table 1, the switching period (Switch-point periodicity) of the uplink and downlink subframes of UL-DL (0), UL-DL (1), UL-DL (2), and UL-DL (6) is 5ms, and the switching period of the uplink and downlink subframes of UL-DL (3), UL-DL (4), and UL-DL (5) is 10 ms. In table 1, "U" is used to indicate a time slot for transmitting uplink data (e.g., uplink voice data packet), and "D" is used to indicate a time slot for transmitting downlink data.
As can be seen from table 1, uplink data (e.g., uplink voice data packets) is transmitted only in a part of timeslots (i.e., uplink timeslots "U") of a subframe, and other timeslots do not transmit uplink data, and for each time slot (idle time slot for short) during which uplink data does not need to be transmitted, the first voice service associated with the first SIM card does not occupy the radio frequency transmission channel TX for transmitting uplink voice data packets during the idle time slot.
Accordingly, during the first voice service through the first LTE network, the terminal device may occupy the radio frequency transmission path TX during its corresponding idle period to respond to the connection request received by RX2, so that the terminal device 10 receives the incoming call information related to the second SIM card from the second LTE network.
In order to ensure the call quality of the first voice service, when the terminal device 10 performs the first voice service, the priority of one or more second data packets that need to be occupied and sent by the TX1 and the priority of one or more first data packets that need to be sent when the terminal device 10 responds to the connection request may also be set, for example, the priority of each second data packet is set to be higher than the priority of the first data packet, the priority of each voice data packet in the one or more second data packets is set to be higher than the priority of each signaling packet, and the terminal device 10 occupies the radio frequency transmission path TX in a time-sharing manner according to the priority of each second data packet.
In one possible implementation, the log of the terminal device 10 may record information of each data packet sent and received by the first SIM card and the second SIM card. For example, the log may record the types of all uplink packets related to the first SIM card, the name of the first SIM card, the number of bytes, and the like.
Fig. 7 is an example of data packet information sent by the first SIM card recorded in a log according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 7, assuming that the first SIM card is in a call state (i.e., the terminal device performs voice traffic with respect to the first SIM card through the first LTE network), the voice data packets with respect to the first voice traffic may include a voice data packet Y0, a voice data packet Y1, a voice data packet Y2, a voice data packet Y3, and a voice data packet Y4. The voice packet Y0, the voice packet Y1, the voice packet Y2, the voice packet Y3, and the voice packet Y4 are expected to be transmitted at time T0, time T1, time T2, time T3, and time T4, respectively.
Taking still the priority of the voice data packet related to the first voice service higher than the priority of each signaling packet to be sent in response to the connection request as an example, when the terminal device receives the connection request, if the voice data packet related to the first voice service to be sent exists in the terminal device, the terminal device may delay responding to the connection request received by the terminal device; correspondingly, if the voice data packet related to the first voice service to be sent does not exist in the terminal equipment, the terminal equipment immediately responds to the connection request received by the terminal equipment.
With reference to table 1, it is assumed that terminal device 10 performs voice services of the first SIM card and the second SIM card by using the timeslot matching method shown in table 1 as UL-DL (2). As shown in fig. 8A, in the downlink time slot "9-D" of cycle 2 (i.e. at time T7), the terminal device 10 receives a connection request for the second SIM card on the radio frequency receiving path RX2, such as a paging request or an INVITE message related to the second SIM card, and the connection request is mainly used as a paging message in the following.
It should be noted that when the first SIM card is in a call state (i.e. the terminal device is engaged in voice service with respect to the first SIM card), if the terminal device 10 receives a connection request for the second SIM card as a paging request, as shown in fig. 8A, the terminal device 10 may send a signaling packet X0 and a signaling packet X1 (e.g. RRC signaling packet) in response to the paging request.
In general, regardless of whether the voice data packet of the first SIM card is transmitted on the TX, the terminal device 10 may transmit the signaling packet X0 and the signaling packet X1 on the TX in response to the paging request immediately after receiving the paging request. For example, as shown by "Tx (1)" in fig. 8A, the terminal device 10 may immediately respond to the paging request when receiving the paging request for the second SIM card at time T7, and transmit the signaling packet X0 at the next uplink slot (i.e., slot "2-U" of cycle 3, time T3), and transmit the signaling packet X1 at the next uplink slot (i.e., slot "7-U" of cycle 4, time T4). Subsequently, the terminal device 10 may transmit the voice packet Y3 at the time of slot "2-U", T5 of cycle 5) and transmit the voice packet Y4 at the time of slot "7-U", T6 of cycle 6). That is, the terminal device 10 may occupy TX transmission voice packet Y0, voice packet Y1, voice packet Y2, signaling packet X0, signaling packet X1, voice packet Y3, and voice packet Y4 at time T0, time T1, time T2, time T3, time T4, time T5, and time T6 in sequence.
However, when the first SIM card is in a call state, if the terminal device 10 receives a paging request for the second SIM card and immediately responds to the paging request, the TX is occupied to send the signaling packet X0 and the signaling packet X1 to the second LTE network, which may cause the voice data packet of the first SIM card to be sent in a delayed manner, thereby affecting the voice communication quality of the first SIM card.
In order to ensure the voice communication quality of the first SIM card, in a possible implementation, the terminal device 10 may delay responding to the paging request when sending the voice data packet of the first SIM card (i.e. the voice data packet that needs to be sent during the process of the terminal device performing the first voice service). For example, as shown by "Tx (2)" in fig. 8A, the terminal may delay responding to the paging request when receiving the paging request for the first SIM card at time T7. As shown by "Tx (2)" in fig. 8A, the terminal device 10 can transmit the voice packet Y3 at the next upstream slot (i.e., slot "2-U" of cycle 3, time T3) and transmit the voice packet Y4 at the next upstream slot (i.e., slot "7-U" of cycle 4, time T4). Subsequently, the terminal device 10 may transmit the signaling packet X0 at slot "2-U" of cycle 5 (i.e., time T5 delayed by Δ T compared to time T7) and transmit the signaling packet X1 at slot "7-U" of cycle 6 (time T6). That is, the terminal device 10 may occupy TX transmitting voice packet Y0, voice packet Y1, voice packet Y2, voice packet Y3, voice packet Y4, signaling packet X0, and signaling packet X1 at time T0, time T1, time T2, time T4, time T5, and time T6 in sequence.
In another possible embodiment, it is assumed that the terminal device 10 performs voice communication with respect to the first SIM card by using the timeslot allocation scheme of UL-DL (2) shown in table 1, and performs voice communication with respect to the SIM card 2 by using the timeslot allocation scheme of UL-DL (1) shown in table 1.
In general, regardless of whether voice data packets of the SIM card 1 are transmitted on the radio frequency TX path, the terminal 110 can immediately respond to the paging request after receiving the connection request (such as the paging request) and transmit the signaling packet X0 and the signaling packet X1 on the TX path. For example, as shown in fig. 8B, at downlink slot "9-D" of cycle 2 of UL-DL (1) (i.e., time T7), the terminal device 10 receives a paging request for the second SIM card from the second LTE network via RX 2. The terminal may transmit the signaling packet X0 at the time slot "2-U" of cycle 3 of UL-DL (1) (i.e., at time T3) and transmit the signaling packet X1 at the time slot "3-U" of cycle 3 of UL-DL (1) (i.e., at time T4) in response to the paging request immediately upon receiving the paging request for the second SIM card at time T7. Subsequently, the terminal 110 may transmit the voice data packet Y3 at the time of T5 in the time slot "7-U" of the period 4 of the UL-DL (2), and transmit the voice data packet Y4 in the time slot "2-U" of the period 5 of the UL-DL (2), i.e., at the time of T6.
However, when the first SIM card is in a call state, if the terminal device 10 receives a paging request for the second SIM card and immediately responds to the paging request, and the TX is occupied to transmit the signaling packet X0 and the signaling packet X1 to the second LTE network, the voice data packet of the first SIM card may be transmitted in a delayed manner, which may affect the voice communication quality of the first SIM card.
In order to ensure the voice communication quality of the first SIM card, in another possible implementation, the terminal device 10 may delay responding to the paging request when transmitting the voice data packet of the first SIM card (i.e., the terminal device 10 has the voice data packet related to the first voice service to be transmitted). For example, as shown by "Tx (2)" in fig. 8B, the terminal device 10 may delay the response to the paging request when receiving the paging request for the second SIM card at time T7, transmitting the voice packet Y3 at slot "2-U" of cycle 3 of UL-DL (2), and transmitting the voice packet Y4 at slot "7-U" of cycle 4 of UL-DL (2), i.e., at time T4. Terminal 110 may then transmit signaling packet X0 at slot "2-U" of cycle 5 of UL-DL (1) (i.e., time T5, delayed by Δ T compared to time T7) and signaling packet X1 at slot "3-U" of cycle 5 of UL-DL (1), time T6.
For example, in conjunction with table 1, assume that the terminal performs voice communication (i.e., voice service) between the first SIM card and the second SIM card by using the timeslot matching method shown in table 1 as UL-DL (2). As shown in fig. 9A, in the downlink time slot "9-D" of cycle 2 (i.e., time T7), the terminal device 10 receives a paging request for the second SIM card from the second LTE network via RX2 (i.e., requests the terminal device to make a connection request for the second voice service associated with the second SIM card). At this time, the terminal device 10 does not have a voice packet related to the first voice service to be transmitted. Then, the terminal device 10 may receive the paging request and immediately respond to the paging request when receiving the paging request, and transmit the signaling packet X0 and the signaling packet X1 on the TX path. For example, as shown in fig. 9A, the terminal may send the signaling packet X0 in the next uplink slot (i.e., slot "2-U" of cycle 5, time T5) and send the signaling packet X1 in the next uplink slot (i.e., slot "7-U" of cycle 6, time T6) in response to the paging request immediately after receiving the paging request for the second SIM card at time T7.
For example, it is assumed that the terminal performs the voice service related to the first SIM card by using the timeslot matching method of UL-DL (2) shown in table 1, and performs the voice service related to the second SIM card by using the timeslot matching method of UL-DL (1) shown in table 1. As shown in fig. 9B, the terminal device 10 may transmit a signaling packet X0 at slot "2-U" of cycle 5 of UL-DL (1) (i.e., time T5) and transmit a signaling packet X1 at slot "3-U" of cycle 5 of UL-DL (1) (i.e., time T6) in response to the paging request immediately after receiving the paging request for the SIM card 2 at time T7.
In a possible implementation, the terminal device may have a capability of continuously measuring the signal quality of the 5G network, and in order to avoid that the terminal device 10 is reconnected to the 5G network through the first SIM card after the terminal device 10 is connected to the first LTE network because the signal quality of the 5G network is better than that of the first LTE network, the terminal device 10 may suspend measuring the signal quality of the 5G network after the terminal device 10 is connected to the first LTE network.
As described above, the first voice service may be a voice service related to the first SIM card or the second SIM card, which is actively initiated by the terminal device under the operation of the user, and the first voice service may also be a voice service related to the first SIM card or the second SIM card, which is initiated by another terminal device. The following describes an exemplary communication method provided in the embodiment of the present application for one or more of the foregoing originating voice services.
Taking an example that the terminal device 10 actively initiates a first voice service related to a first SIM card to the terminal device B under the operation of a user, and implements a process of performing a voice call with the terminal device B through the first SIM card in the terminal device 10, and receives incoming call information corresponding to a second voice service related to a second SIM card initiated by the terminal device C to the terminal device 10, as shown in fig. 10, the communication method in the embodiment of the present application may partially or completely include the following steps 1001 to 1009.
Step 1001, in response to a request operation of a user for requesting a first voice service with terminal device B related to a first SIM card, terminal device 10 disconnects connection with the 5G network and accesses the first LTE network through the first SIM card.
Specifically, the request operation may be an operation of the user to perform a corresponding operation on the mobile phone, and the generated operation is to dial a phone number corresponding to one SIM card installed in the terminal device B.
In step 1002, the terminal device 10 performs a first voice service related to the first SIM card and based on VOLTE with the terminal device B through the first LTE network.
Wherein, the first voice service occupies the first rf receiving path and the rf transmitting path of the terminal device 10.
It should be noted that, before step 1002, the terminal device 10 may also perform an information interaction procedure with the first LTE network, including, but not limited to, the following steps 1005 to 1009.
In step 1003, the terminal device C sends an INVITE message related to the second SIM card to the second LTE network.
In step 1004, the second LTE network sends a paging request related to the second SIM card to the terminal device B in response to the INVITE.
Wherein the paging request is used to request the terminal device 10 and the terminal device C to perform the second voice service based on VOLTE related to the second SIM card.
In step 1005, the terminal device 10 interacts RRC signaling with the second LTE network through the second SIM card in response to the paging request.
Here, the process of the terminal device 10 interacting the RRC signaling with the second LTE network through the second SIM card may be regarded as a process of the terminal device accessing the second LTE network through the second SIM card, that is, after the terminal device 10 and the second LTE network complete the RRC signaling interaction, the terminal device 10 realizes accessing the second LTE network through the second SIM card.
Here, since the terminal device 10 accesses the first LTE network through the first SIM card, and in the process that the terminal device 10 responds to the paging message, a receiving end (i.e., the second LTE network) of a signaling packet (e.g., an RRC signaling packet, response information, etc.) that needs to be sent also satisfies an LTE network standard, one or more first data packets sent by the terminal device 10 in response to the paging message and one or more second data packets sent by performing the first voice service with the terminal device 10 may occupy a radio frequency transmission path of the terminal device 10 in a time-sharing manner.
It is understood that steps 1005 to 1007 are specific procedures for responding to the page related to the second SIM card by the terminal device 10, and the whole responding procedure not only needs to transmit one or more signaling packets, but also may receive one or more signaling packets. The "paging request" with respect to the second SIM card may be regarded as a connection request for requesting the terminal device 10 to perform the VOLTE-based second voice service with the terminal device C through the second SIM card.
In step 1006, the second LTE network sends an INVITE message to the terminal device 10.
It should be noted that, a network device of the second LTE network (which may be a proxy server located in the second LTE network) may insert an address (e.g., an IP address) of the network device itself into the INVITE message sent by the terminal device C, and send the INVITE message after inserting the address to the terminal device 10, so that the response information sent by the terminal device can reach the network device of the second LTE network.
Step 1007, the terminal device 10 sends response information to the second LTE network.
In step 1008, the second LTE network sends the incoming call information related to the second voice service to the terminal device 10.
For example, the terminal device C accesses the second LTE network through an installed SIM card, and the network device (e.g., a proxy server) of the second LTE network may maintain information related to the SIM card, such as a phone number and a home location corresponding to the SIM card, and the information may be sent to the terminal device 10 as incoming call information related to the second voice service.
In step 1009, the terminal device 10 performs incoming call reminding in response to the incoming call information.
Normally, the terminal device 10 may perform ringing after transmitting the response information, and may receive incoming call information from the second LTE network after performing ringing normally.
For example, when the first voice service is a voice service initiated by the terminal device C and related to the second SIM card, and when the terminal device 10 performs a voice call with the terminal device C through the second SIM card, receiving incoming call information corresponding to the second voice service initiated by the terminal device B to the terminal device 10 and related to the first SIM card is implemented, as shown in fig. 11, the communication method in the embodiment of the present application may partially include or entirely include the following steps 1101 to 1110.
In step 1101, the terminal device C sends an INVITE message related to the second SIM card to the second LTE network.
The INVITE message is used to request the terminal device 10 to perform the VOLTE-based first voice service with the terminal device C via the installed second SIM card.
In step 1102, the second LTE network sends a paging request associated with the second SIM card to the terminal device 10 in response to the received INVITE message.
In step 1103, the terminal device 10 disconnects from the 5G network and connects to the first LTE network.
In step 1104, the terminal device 10 interacts RRC signaling with the second LTE network, so that the terminal device 10 accesses the second LTE network through the second SIM card.
In step 1105, the terminal device performs the first voice service based on VOLTE related to the second SIM card with the terminal device C through the second LTE network.
Wherein, the first voice service occupies the first rf receiving path and the rf transmitting path of the terminal device 10.
It should be noted that, before step 1105, in addition to the RRC signaling interaction with the second LTE by the terminal device 10, the terminal device 10 may need to perform one or more data interactions with the second LTE network, including but not limited to performing an information interaction procedure similar to that in the subsequent steps 1107 to 1110.
In step 1106, terminal B sends an INVITE message associated with the first SIM card to the first LTE network.
The INVITE message is used to request the terminal device 10 to perform the second voice service based on VOLTE between the first SIM card installed therein and the terminal device B.
In step 1107, the first LTE network sends an INVITE message to the terminal device 10.
It is to be understood that the "INVITE message" with respect to the first SIM card may be regarded as a connection request for requesting the terminal device 10 to perform the VOLTE-based second voice service with the terminal device B through the first SIM card.
It should be noted that, a network device of the first LTE network (which may be a proxy server located in the first LTE network) may insert an address (e.g., an IP address) of the network device itself into the INVITE message sent by the terminal device B, and send the INVITE message after inserting the address to the terminal device 10, so that the response information sent by the terminal device can reach the network device of the first LTE network.
In step 1108, the terminal device 10 sends a response message to the first LTE network in response to the INVITE message received by the terminal device.
Here, since the terminal device 10 accesses the first LTE network through the first SIM card, and in the process that the terminal device 10 responds to the paging message, a receiving end (i.e., the first LTE network) of a data packet (e.g., response information) to be sent also satisfies an LTE network standard, one or more first data packets sent by the terminal device 10 in response to the INVITE message and one or more second data packets sent by performing the first voice service with the terminal device 10 may occupy a radio frequency transmission path of the terminal device 10 in a time-sharing manner.
In step 1109, the first LTE network transmits the call information to the terminal device 10.
In step 1110, the terminal device 10 performs incoming call reminding in response to the incoming call information.
Normally, the terminal device 10 may perform ringing after transmitting the response information, and may receive incoming call information from the first LTE network after performing ringing normally.
In the foregoing examples, the incoming call information is displayed through a corresponding interface, but not limited to, to implement the incoming call reminder. Besides displaying the incoming call information, the interface for displaying the incoming call information can also display the call duration of the first voice service, a hang-up icon related to the first voice service, a call-up icon related to the second voice service and the like of the terminal equipment.
Correspondingly, the user can also execute corresponding operation in the interface for displaying the incoming call information and select whether to perform the second voice service. Still taking the example that the first voice service is related to the first SIM card and the second voice service is related to the second SIM card, the user can terminate the first voice service by triggering the hang-up icon or the answering icon; and when the user selects to trigger the answering icon, the terminal equipment can send response information representing successful connection through the second LTE network, and when the terminal equipment receives an ACK packet from the second LTE network, the terminal equipment can perform a second voice service related to the second SIM card and based on VOLTE through the second LTE network.
It can be understood that, for each icon included in the interface for displaying the incoming call information and the response that the user triggers each icon in the interface to enable the terminal device to execute, reference may be made to the prior art, and details are not repeated herein with respect to a processing flow, which may occur after the terminal device receives the incoming call information related to the second voice service, with respect to the first voice service and the second voice service.
In a possible implementation, the terminal device may not disconnect from the 5G network and connect to the first LTE network before receiving no connection request for requesting the terminal device to perform the second voice service related to another SIM card, regardless of whether the VOLTE-based, NR-based, or other various forms of the first voice service are performed. If and only after receiving a connection request for requesting the terminal device to perform a second voice service with respect to another SIM card, the terminal device disconnects its connected 5G network and connects to the first LTE network through the first SIM card.
In the foregoing embodiments, when the terminal device performs the voice service related to the first SIM card, the terminal device disconnects itself from the 5G network, so that the 5G dedicated channels RXn and TXn are idle during the process of performing the first voice service by the terminal device. If the terminal device performs the data service during the voice service, a large number of service data packets and signaling packets related to the data service may need to be transmitted when the terminal device performs the data service. Correspondingly, when the terminal device concurrently performs the data service and the voice service, a part of data packets that need to be transmitted through the radio frequency transmission channel TX of the main channel may not be transmitted to the network side in time; therefore, the terminal device cannot respond to the connection request in time, or the communication quality of the first voice service is affected, or the data service cannot be performed efficiently, which affects the user experience.
In order to further improve the user experience, another communication method is provided in the embodiments of the present application, and may be applied to the terminal device 10 shown in fig. 1 and fig. 2, where the terminal device 10 includes a first radio frequency transmission path TXn, a second radio frequency transmission path TX, a first SIM card interface 103, and a second SIM card interface 104, the first SIM card interface 103 is used for communicating with a first SIM card, the second SIM card interface 104 is used for communicating with a second SIM card, and the terminal device 10 is connected to a 5G network and a first LTE network through the first SIM card. As shown in fig. 12, the communication method may include at least the following steps 121 to 125.
In step 121, a VOLTE-based first voice service is performed through the first LTE network, where the first voice service is associated with the first SIM card.
As described above, the networking mode of the 5G network and the first LTE network may be non-independent networking, and in the case that the 5G network and the first LTE network are non-independent networking, the terminal device may be connected to the first LTE network and the 5G network through the first SIM card installed in the terminal device.
In one possible embodiment, when the other device requests the terminal device 10 to perform the first voice service with respect to the first SIM card, the terminal device 10 responds thereto if the connection request comes from the first LTE network; if the connection request is from a 5G network, the terminal device 10 may not have to respond to it.
In another possible implementation manner, the terminal device sends a connection request to the first LTE network in response to a request operation of the user for the first voice service.
In this way, the terminal device can perform voice services based on VOLTE and related to the first SIM card through the first LTE network.
It can be understood that, when the terminal device 10 performs the first voice service, each voice data packet and the signaling packet related to the first voice service, which are required to be sent for performing the first voice service, may be sent to the first LTE network through the second radio frequency transmission path TX; each voice data packet required to be received for the first voice service and the signaling packet related to the first voice service may be received from the first LTE network through the first rf receiving path RX 1.
It can be understood that, when the terminal device performs the data service, it may need to send not only the service data packet to the 5G network through the first radio frequency transmission path, but also a signaling packet related to the data service to the 5G network through the first radio frequency transmission path.
It will be appreciated that, when the terminal device performs a data service, it may also receive service data packets and signaling packets related to the data service from the 5G network via the third radio frequency reception path RXn.
As described above, the terminal device performs the first voice service related to the first SIM in the first LTE network supporting the LTE network standard, and the connection request is used to request the terminal device to perform the second voice service related to the second SIM card in the second LTE network supporting the LTE network standard; therefore, step 125 can be implemented by the solution provided in any of the foregoing embodiments, which responds to the connection request during the first voice service by occupying the radio frequency transmission path in a time-sharing manner.
In the above embodiment, the terminal device may respond to a connection request for requesting the terminal device to perform a voice service related to another SIM card in the process of performing a voice service related to one of the SIM cards; in addition, in the process of concurrently performing the voice service and the data service by the terminal device, the data packets related to the voice service and the service data packets related to the data service can be respectively transmitted to two different networks through different radio frequency transmission paths, so that each data packet required to be sent by the terminal device can be more quickly transmitted to the network side, and the user experience is further improved.
The number of data packets that the terminal device needs to send for data service may be relatively large, and the data amount of data packets that the terminal device needs to send for voice service is relatively small. Therefore, in a possible implementation, the terminal device may further transmit one or more service data packets related to the data service performed by the terminal device to the first LTE network by time-sharing the second radio frequency transmission path TX. Therefore, the terminal equipment can rapidly and rapidly transmit a large number of service data packets related to the data service to the network side, and the user experience is further improved.
As can be understood, because the first LTE network and the 5G network are not independently networked, in the process of performing a data service by the terminal device, the service data transmitted to the first LTE network and the service data transmitted to the 5G network may reach the same core network and be further forwarded to the corresponding network or device.
Illustratively, when the 5G network and the first LTE network (for convenience of description, referred to as a 4G network in the following examples) are not networked independently, the terminal device may display a network status of the terminal device at a current time to a user in a signal status column of a Graphical User Interface (GUI) displayed by the terminal device when a voice call is not made with respect to the first SIM card (for convenience of description, referred to as card 1 in the following examples) or the second SIM card (for convenience of description, referred to as card 2 in the following examples). For example, as shown in fig. 13a1 or fig. 13a2, a signal status bar at the upper right corner of a Graphical User Interface (GUI) may prompt the user that the terminal device 10 has been connected to both the 5G network and the 4G network via the card 1, and the terminal device 10 has been connected to the other 4G network via the card 2.
It should be noted that, when the terminal device is simultaneously connected to the 4G network and the 5G network through the card 1, if the terminal device is configured to preferentially perform the data service through the 5G network, the terminal device usually adopts the pattern and the font displayed in the network status bar in the graphical user interface shown in fig. 13A to indicate that the terminal device 10 has been simultaneously connected to the 5G network and one 4G network through the card 1 and the terminal device 10 has been connected to the other 4G network through the card 2 during the period when the terminal device is not performing the voice service. If and only if the terminal device is in the process of making a voice call with respect to the card 1, the user is instructed to make a voice call with respect to the card 1, which is made through the 4G network, through the pattern and the typeface displayed in the network status bar in the graphical user interface shown in fig. 13B.
For example, the terminal device 10 may perform data service in a 5G network through the card 1 under the operation of the user, and perform voice call based on VOLTE with terminal devices held by other users in a 4G network connected to the card 1. For example, when the terminal device 10 performs a voice call with the terminal device B held by the user B, the terminal device 10 may display a graphical user interface as shown in fig. 13B. The graphical user interface can display incoming call information and call states of the terminal device 10; for example, the SIM card used for the ongoing voice call is displayed as card 1, the target of the voice call is user B, the phone number used by the target of the user B, the duration of the voice call, etc.; one or more function icons for receiving a user's operation to manage the voice call, such as a hang-up icon 131, a mute icon 132, a dial pad icon 133, a directory icon 134, an add call icon 135, and a speaker icon 136, may also be displayed in the graphical user interface. The processing flow corresponding to the triggering of the terminal device to the aforementioned each icon by the user may refer to the prior art, and is not described herein again.
When the terminal device 10 uses the card 1 to perform voice call, the connection between the terminal device and the 5G network is not disconnected, and the graphical user interface shown in fig. 13C prompts the user that the terminal device 10 is still connected to the 5G network. Correspondingly, in the process of using the card 1 for voice call, the terminal device 10 can still use the 5G network for data service; for example, in the process of performing voice communication using the card 1, the terminal device automatically downloads and updates a data packet for updating one or more applications through a 5G network, automatically synchronizes personal data stored in the terminal device to a cloud platform, and the like.
As described above, if the user triggers the hang-up icon 131 to hang up his ongoing voice call related to the card 1, the network status bar in the graphical user interface displayed by the terminal device may display a pattern, i.e., a typeface, as displayed in the network status bar in the graphical user interface shown in fig. 13A.
Then, in combination with the foregoing embodiments, it can be seen that, in the process of using the card 1 for voice communication, the terminal device may receive an incoming call from another user (for example, user C); at this time, the terminal device may display the incoming call information of the user C through a corresponding graphic user interface. Illustratively, the terminal device 10 may display a graphical user interface as shown in fig. 13C; the user may trigger the hang up and answer icon 137 in the interface shown in fig. 13C to hang up the ongoing voice call associated with card 1 and answer the incoming call for card 2; the user may trigger the continue and hang up icon 138 in the interface shown in fig. 13C, the hang up causing the terminal device 10 to hang up the incoming call with respect to the card 2 and continue the voice call with respect to the card 1.
