step one, the total station (4) is taken up, a positioning groove (33) on a base (32) is aligned to a positioning clamping block (39), the base (32) is inserted into an inner cavity at the top of a base (31) from top to bottom, the top of the positioning clamping block (39) is an inclined surface, the side wall of the base (32) extrudes the inclined surface of the positioning clamping block (39), two positioning clamping blocks (39) are enabled to move outwards, meanwhile, a support plate (37) is driven to slide outwards along the outer wall of a sliding rod (35) and extrude a second spring (36), a rack (38) moves along with the support plate (37), a gear (34) rotates clockwise until the base (32) completely enters the base (31), the second spring (36) drives the support plate (37) to move inwards under the action of self elasticity, the positioning clamping block (39) enters the positioning groove (33) to position the base (32), and therefore installation of the total station (, when the total station needs to be disassembled, the positioning clamping block (39) can move outwards to release the brake of the base (32) only by pulling the pull rod (310), and the total station (4) can be disassembled;
step two, when the height of the total station (4) needs to be adjusted, the knob (275) is pulled down to enable the second sliding block (273) to slide downwards along the inner cavity of the second sliding way (272) and press the first spring (274) until the knob (275) moves out of the clamping groove (23), the screw (24) is relieved from being braked, the screw (24) can be driven to rotate clockwise or anticlockwise through the knob (275), the supporting rod (25) can be driven to move upwards or downwards by the thread rotating force of the screw (24) under the limiting effect of the first sliding block (26), the total station (4) is further enabled to ascend or descend, when the total station (4) reaches a specified height, the knob (275) is loosened, the first spring (274) pushes the second sliding block (273) to move upwards under the action of the self elastic force, the knob (275) returns to the clamping groove (23) again, the braking of the screw (24) is achieved, and the height adjustment of the total station (4, the total station (4) can be used by people with different heights.
9. The method of claim 8, wherein the method comprises the steps of: the specific step of pulling the pull rod (310) to enable the clamping block (39) to move outwards is that the support plate (37) located on the right side can move towards the right side along the outer wall of the sliding rod (35), the rack (38) located on the right side moves towards the right side, due to the fact that the two racks (38) rotate 180 degrees relative to the central point of the gear (34) to be overlapped, the rack (38) located on the left side can move towards the left side under the rotation of the gear (34), therefore the two support plates (37) can move outwards at the same time, the clamping block (39) moves out of the positioning clamping groove (33) along with the outward movement of the support plates (37), the braking of the base (32) is relieved, and the total station (4).
