Description
Technical Field
The present invention generally relates to a partition member for a dado panel (buiserie), and a dado panel provided therewith.
Background
Siding, i.e., the wood cladding of the interior walls of a room, has long been used to decorate rooms. More recently, conventional planar dado panels have become a practical furniture accessory, which is provided with a shelf or compartment (see for example FR2484505a 1). It is therefore necessary to make the dado panels and their components durable and strong.
The structure of the latter baseboard is a shelf (or bookshelf), which is a compartment defined by two horizontal flat panels separated by a vertical partition panel. These panels must not only be durable, but must also be cost controlled while ensuring ease of assembly.
Disclosure of Invention
The main object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a partition panel/panel (panel) of the above-mentioned type, which method solves at least one of the above-mentioned problems.
A first aspect of the invention relates to a method for manufacturing a partition panel for a dado panel, the method comprising the steps of:
two spacer elements of equal thickness are fixed between and to two plates having the same rectangular quadrilateral (rectangular or square) shape, so as to form, as a whole, a parallelepiped in which the plates are parallel to each other and form two opposite (larger) sides, and
wherein one of the two spacer elements is placed along the periphery of the two plates and at least one hole is drilled in the thickness of this spacer element, having a mouth/opening (mouth) which accommodates/is limited to the axis between the two plates and faces towards the outside of the parallelepiped.
The two plates and the spacing elements form a sandwich structure.
It should be noted that the structure of the panel, although easy to construct, can be easily attached to the rest of the dado panel, especially at the vertical rear of the compartment. The attachment is achieved by a screw traversing the rear portion and engaging in the hole.
As a preferred variant of this process we cite the following steps:
-internally threading the holes to make the fixing easier; and/or
Using two metal or wooden plates to increase their durability, and/or
-using as one or each spacer element an element, in particular a metal profile, having a T-shaped cross-section, a C-shaped cross-section or a U-shaped cross-section, which is hollow and therefore light, but which ensures good rigidity. The profile is easy to produce by cutting, for example by cutting from a long rod. It is noted that for the holes, the spacer elements may comprise or at most consist of rigid walls. Furthermore, the spacer element may be a piece separate from the plates and then coupled to these plates, or integrated into the body of one of these plates; and/or
Using a compact parallelepiped, for example formed of metal or wood or plastic, as one or each spacer element, and/or
-using as one or each spacer element an element having a length equal to the length of the two plates measured along said edge; and/or
-arranging a spacer element flush with the perimeter; and/or
-arranging a second spacer element between the two plates, the structure of the second spacer element having one or each of the features defined herein for the first spacer element, such that the second spacer element is parallel to and spaced apart from the first spacer element; and/or
-arranging a third spacer element between the two plates, the structure of which has one or each of the features defined herein for the first spacer element, so that the third spacer element is placed parallel to the first spacer and along the perimeter of the two plates opposite the edge on which the first spacer element is located.
A second aspect of the invention relates to a partition panel for a dado panel, the partition panel comprising:
two plates having the same rectangular quadrilateral (rectangular or square) shape,
two spacer elements of equal thickness fixed between and on said plates in such a way as to form a parallelepiped overall, in which said two plates are parallel to each other and form two opposite sides, and
one of the two spacer elements is placed along the periphery of the two plates and is drilled through its thickness with at least one hole having an axis contained between the two plates and having a mouth/opening facing the outside of the parallelepiped.
As an advantageous variant of this purpose:
the hole is internally threaded; and/or
-the two plates are made of metal or wood; and/or
The or each spacer element is a compact rod or a female element with a T-shaped, C-shaped or U-shaped or rectangular or square cross-section, and in particular a metal profile. Note that for the holes, the spacer elements may comprise or at most consist of rigid walls; and/or
The or each spacer element is a compact parallelepiped, for example made of metal or wood or plastic, to achieve a better grip (grip) of the thread, and/or
-the or each spacer element is an element of length equal to the length of the two plates measured along said edge; and/or
-one or each spacer element is placed flush with the perimeter; and/or
-a second spacer element, the structure of which has one or each of the features defined herein for the first spacer, is placed between the two plates so that it is parallel to and spaced apart from the first spacer; and/or
-comprising a third spacer element, the structure of which has one or each of the features defined herein for the first spacer, which is placed between the two plates so that it is parallel to the first spacer and is placed along the perimeter of the two plates opposite the edge where the first spacer element is located.
A third aspect of the invention relates to a dado panel.
The dado panel is a piece of furniture or upholstery that serves as a covering for the interior walls of a room and is fitted with shelves or compartments. In particular, the dado panel comprises furniture such as a shelf or bookshelf or a compartment bounded by two horizontal flat panels spaced apart by a vertical partition panel.
The shelf may also be uncovered when the horizontal flat panel forming the top of the compartment is missing.
In one or each variant, the dado panel comprises one or more partition panels as defined herein. In particular, the dado panel comprises a plurality of horizontal shelves or compartments, and/or a shelf (or bookshelf) -i.e. a compartment delimited by two horizontal flat panels separated by one or more vertical partition panels, which are horizontally separated from each other and are characterized by one or each of the variants defined above.
Preferably, the dado panel comprises a vertical wall panel supporting the horizontal flat panel. Fixing the vertical partition panels to the wall hanging vertical panels by means of screws screwed into the wall hanging vertical panels: the screw traverses the vertical wall panel and is screwed into a hole in a partition element arranged at the rear of the partition panel.
In various aspects of the invention, preferably, the above-mentioned panels are flat panels, i.e. contained in only one plane.
In various aspects of the invention, preferably the or each spacer element is an elongate/oblong element and has a larger dimension equal to that of the plate (so that in a sandwich construction the or each spacer element does not project from the plate at its opposite ends but remains flush with them), whereas its dimension orthogonal to the larger dimension and parallel to the plane of the plate is smaller than the corresponding dimension of the plate.
In various aspects of the invention, the parallelepiped is preferably a parallelepiped with a rectangular bottom face/base/bottom, considering the plate as a side face associated with the height.
In various aspects of the present invention, preferably, the second spacing element is disposed between the two plates in a coplanar manner with the first and third spacing elements.
In the various aspects of the present invention, preferably, the second spacing element is placed in a space between the two plates that separates the first spacing element and the third spacing element. Preferably, between the second spacer element and the first spacer element and between the second spacer element and the third spacer element there is an empty space bounded on opposite sides by two plates.
In various aspects of the invention, preferably the or each spacer element is a unitary piece.

Detailed Description
Fig. 4 shows a dado panel 90, the dado panel 90 comprising a shelf defined by two horizontal flat panels 92 separated by one or more vertical partition panels MC (fig. 1-3).
The panel MC is made up of two metal plates 10 having the same rectangular shape, between which two metal plates 10 three spacer elements 20, 40, 60 having equal thickness and elongated/oblong shape are placed.
The three spacing elements 20, 40, 60 are fixed to the plate 10, for example by means of adhesive or joints or soldered joints, and they together form a general sandwich structure which forms a parallelepiped: these plates 10 are parallel to each other and constitute opposite sides of the parallelepiped.
The spacer element 20 is flush with the perimeter/periphery 24 of the two plates 10 and is drilled in its thickness with at least one threaded hole 25, the axis X of which 25 is comprised between the two plates 10. Each hole 22 is still visible on the surface of the parallelepiped.
The spacer element 20 is a compact metal rod having a length equal to the length of the rim 24.
The spacer elements 40 have the same structure and orientation as the elements 20 and are more centrally located on the plate 10. In this example, the spacer element 40 is placed next to the symmetry axis of the plate 10.
In the panel MC the space between the plates 10 is mostly empty, which makes it light.
The spacer element 60 is located between the two plates 10 parallel to the spacer 20 and is positioned flush with the perimeter of the two plates 10 opposite the edge 24.
The spacer element 60 can for example be mounted when the spacers 20, 40 have been positioned between two plates 10, thus forming a front slit of the panel MC for inserting the element 60 (see arrows). Since the elements 60 are visible to an observer standing in front of the dado panel 90, the structure of the panel MC allows the appearance of the panel MC to be easily changed by changing the material or color or finish of the elements 60 (e.g., the elements 60 are made of wood, which is lighter than metal).
The element 60 (fig. 5) preferably has a cross-section formed by a combination of a larger rectangle 62 and a smaller rectangle or square 64. The cross-section is specular/mirrored with respect to a central axis Y parallel to the long sides of the rectangle 62 and passing through the rectangle 62. The Y axis is parallel to the X axis.
Thus, the thickness of the portion corresponding to the smaller rectangle or square 64 is smaller than the thickness of the portion corresponding to the rectangle 62, and two slits are formed between the plates 10, which have both an aesthetic function and a function of lightening the panel MC.
The fastening of the panels MC to the dado panel is very easy due to the holes 22.
The baseboard 90 includes a vertical panel 94, the vertical panel 94 abutting the wall and supporting the panel 92. The screw is threaded into the rear/back of the panel 94 until the screw passes through the panel 94 and into the hole 22 where the screw encounters the threads and catches. The panel MC is fixed to the panel 94 by tightening the screws. More holes 22 in the panel MC ensure a tighter.
